Chapter 216: Monarch of Seven Runes

" The Dao Instruction Pagoda's disciples are truly erudite." Mo Yi commented.

" This brother's name?" Yang Shi asked.

" Because we only sell Secret Artifacts, Talismans, and Battle Techniques." Pan Xiong said.

" Then show us some secret artifacts." Mo Yi asked.  Pan Xiong nodded as he asked his attendant to bring some treasures.

" This is Fire and Ice Jade. Wearing it, one can be resistant to boiling temperature or freezing cold. Moreover, it will boost Fire and Ice type cultivation speed."

" This is Wind Tracing Flute and Aura Tracking Powder. Using a bit of this powder on any person and using this flute, one can easily track that person's location. Its radius is 200 km."

" This is Beast Power Glove. Using this can increase your physical strength and First techniques. After filling it with Spiritual qi, it can also launch a burst of qi attack."

Pan Xiong explained the secret treasure's uses as Mo Yi nodded.

" Hmm, Brother Mo, Since you are practicing Sky Incineration Sword, you should take this Fire and Ice jade. Beast Power Glove is only useful when you are not using your sword." Yang Shi thought as he said.

" Indeed. I am also thinking to buy it. Pack this thing, and also show me something good for women." Mo Yi asked as he thought to about Liu Jie.

" Hmm." Pan Xiong thought as he took out another few boxes.

" This is Violet Pheonix Hairpin. It can be used as a hidden weapon and also a quill pen. It's best to please a girl."

" This is a Full Moon ring. It can reduce the process of aging of girls and make them even more appealing. Moreover, the cold qi inside can rejuvenate any tired person. "

" This Hairpin, I am taking it." Mo Yi said.

After purchasing all items, Mo Yi already spent around 500,000 gold coins. But it's nothing much to him. Yang Shi looked at the talismans which are on sale.

" Light Talisman, Speed Talisman, Fireball Talisman, Ice Wreck Talisman." Yang  Shi shook his head. 

Talismans also graded from grade one to grade nine. Grade one are the cheapest and most easy to make. But each grade one talisman costs more than 100,000 gold coins as Talisman making has strict restrictions.

First of all, talisman needs to be drawn by the usage of Soul qi, so most Runemasters are those who awakened their soul or simply put, Violet Palace Expansion Realm cultivators.

However, that would make talismans far too scarce. Therefore, there was a solution to this. There is a special ink called - Beast Spirit Ink. It can be used as a substitute for Soul qi.

One can use Spiritual qi to use Inscription Brush and Beast Spirit Ink to create talismans, but the biggest drawback is- It can't be used to make talismans above Second grade talismans. Moreover, the success of talisman making also reduces. 

Nonetheless, It's still a great treasure for those who didn't awaken their souls. It allowed them to become Runemaster. Once someone becomes a Runemaster, Their fame will shoot to the sky. Wealth, Power, and Beauty won't lack to them as each faction would try to curry favor with them.

" There aren't any Grade two talismans?" Yang Shi asked.  " Currently, We have only three. You can find more of them in the auction." Pan Xiong shook his head.

" Show me some talismans then." Yang Shi asked. Pan Xiong nodded as he took out three jade boxes. These boxes were sealed by strange runes as he opened them.josei

" This one is Evil Warding Talisman. A Grade two talisman. It can be used to slay ghosts and evil creatures. Even without activating it, it can still act as a barrier against dark creatures."

" This is Six Light Sword Talisman. Once used, It will turn into six golden streaks of sword lights. It can heavily injure Ninth grade Primordial Spirit Realm cultivator or even kill them. But it's power will reduce if the enemy had Grade two defensive talisman or a Quasi True grade armor. It's still a good offensive Talisman.

" This is the last one. It's a Beast Tracking Talisman. If you want to find a particular beast, all you need to do is to drop some blood of it on this talisman. It will able to locate it in 200 km radius."

Yang Shi shook his head. Six Light Sword Talisman is good, but it's useless for Yang Shi as he already comprehended Saber intent. But it could be a good protective item for Bai Ruxue, so Yang Shi bought it for 500,000 gold coins.

" Hmm?" YangS hi suddenly look at the bookshelf where many books were kept. These are all Secret techniques. It contains various things, Battle Techniques, Forging Techniques, Alchemy Method, and so on.

Yang Shi took out a scroll as he read its name - The Mysteries of Runes- Talisman crafting. " It's a famous book, Written by Monarch of Seven Runes. Here, he depicts the basics of Talisman crafting. It's for novice Runemasters." Pan Xiong said casually.

Monarch of Seven Rune can be considered as the human ancestor of Rune Inscription. His legend was from the Heaven's Dawn Era. He was the first human who created the basic principles of Rune inscriptions.

He comprehended seven origin runes and used them as a foundation. After that, he created many techniques of Talisman crafting and Formation making. Because of his contribution, not only the human race but all races across the realm benefitted.

But what's interesting,  It was Samsara Emperor who helped him back then. Samsara Emperor Yan Jian was someone from the Late Stellar Expansion Era, so by the time of Monarch of Seven Runes, he already became quite powerful.

" How much does this cost?" Yang Shi asked. " This? Since Noble Yang already bought some costly things, I can give this as a small gift." Pan Xiong waved his hand.

" However, If you want to learn the art of Rune inscription,  These books are better for you." Pan Xiong showed three books. " The True Art of Inscription, Spirit Inscription Methods, and Talisman Formation Sutra."

Yang Shi shook his head as he said, " It's fine, I just want that." He pointed at the book of Monarch of Seven Runes. " As you wish." Pan Xiong didn't think much as he packed them all.

" Esteemed Guests, I hope you will come again." Pan Xiong smiled as he sent them off. Yang Shi and Mo Yi returned from there with satisfaction.

Pan Xiong went to the shop's inner room where a middle aged person was sitting. " Interesting. That youth besides Mo Yi is pretty unusual." He commented.

" His name is Yang Shi. He seemed very close to Mo clan. What'smore, He is a Master grade Blacksmith. Till now, not a single commission was failed by him." Pan Xiong bowed as he said.

" Heh, It seems that Fierce Bao finally found a decent sapling." The man chuckled. " Observe him for now."

Yang Shi turned to look at the Three Mysteries Shop. As his Divine Sense already fused with his Celestial View, he could feel the hidden presence of a Violet Palace Exapsnion Realm cultivator inside the shop. But he didn't mind it as he may be the protector of the shop.

" Don't you think it's interesting? The book written by the Human Ancestor of Rune Inscription is simply worthless before the newfound techniques of current Runemaster?" Yang Shi laughed inwardly as he thought about the book he had gotten for free.
