Chapter 226: Shen Yanyu's Primordial Spirit

Yang Shi's dagger was faster like wind, but some of the arrows of light still managed to evade his counterattack. The arrow pierced his shoulders ad thigh. Yang Shi winced in pain but saw no blood was coming out from there.

" Miss Shen, if you want to talk, why not talk in a civilized manner? Attacking a guest from nowhere, I don't think that how should you treat someone?" Yang Shi wiped his sweat as he stood there doing nothing.

" Hmph! You have indeed improved from the past, albeit a little." Shen Yanyu appeared behind a tree. She was wearing tight black clothes as her face was hidden behind a black veil. But her eyes were more than enough to hook someone's soul.

" Why didn't you use your sword? You used your sword last time." Shen Yanyu asked as she gazed at Yang Shi. Yang Shi put his dagger back as he smiled, " Drawing out my sword wasn't necessary." He shrugged.

" Hmph, Don't get too arrogant. I haven't even used my true power." She Yanyu scoffed. She held the bow which was forged by Yang Shi.

" Aiiz, Little Yang already has grown to such extent. This old man can't see through you anymore." Old Ghost coughed as he also came out. He looked nothing special, just like another normal old man. But Yang Shi knew that under this normal appearance, there is a powerful cultivator.

" Thank you for your timely help, old man. Don't worry, I will pay all your spirit stones back." YangShi smiled as he looked at Yang Shi.

" Hehe, It's nothing. Little Yang and I can be considered old friends. But there is a small issue. Lending you two hundred, our funds have been exhausted." Old Ghost smiled.

the spirit stones. I just need some time…" Yang Shi's face was still smiling. Suddenly, the atmosphere got silent.

" I hope you can return the amount in three days." Shen Yanyu opened her mouth.

The atmosphere got silent again. Yang Shi looked at both of them with wide eyes.

" How the hell I am going to pay two hundred spirit stones in three days? I would have bought the Heart of the Forest by myself." Yang Shi shouted. " At least, give me one year or two."

" Little Yang, I would have agreed to your request, but unfortunately, there is a change in the plan now." Old Ghost sighed. " Moreover, You can just return the Heart of Forest to me." Shen Yanyu added.

" You practice a Metal attribute technique. Why will you need this Wood attribute item, a conflicting element?"

" Do I need to report you all the things? Why should I tell you?" Yang Shi asked flatly. He was a little displeased by Shen Yanyu's behavior. " Little Yang, She was just impatient." Old Ghost said.

" We suddenly need spirit stones to hire a Grandmaster blacksmith and Runemaster to forge some equipment. As you know, the entrance of Mystic Spirit Realm will open soon, so we need to make some preparation." Old Ghost said.

" Even so, You don't need that much amount of spirit stone in three days?" Yang hi questioned. " Well, there is another thing we want to buy." Shen Yanyu spoke, " Spirit Nurturing Wood."

Yang Shi's eyes narrowed as he looked at them. " Are you going for the Vital blood of Purple Thunder Wyvern? Ah right, The first prince' faction seems to get the egg of the ancient beast." Yang Shi clicked his tongue.

" Yes, The Soul Nurturing 

Wood is very scarce in the Southern Domain, as the condition here is unsuitable for Soul Nurturing Tree. However, there are some places where we can get Soul Nurturing Wood." Old Ghost said.

" Even you get Soul Nurturing Wood, there is a chance of not getting the Vital blood. What if the Second prince's faction gets it or the Water of Life?" Yang Shi asked. " That is the issue. But getting the Water of Life is also very difficult." Old Ghost said.

" I understand, but I really can't give you the Heart of Forest." Yang Shi shook his head. But in his brain, he already started to calculate many things.

" How about it? I will craft you your desirable weapons as payment for now?" Yang Shi proposed. He was also eager to forge a True grade weapon.

" Are you sure? We are talking about a True grade weapon? You surely won't able, unless you can use your Soul qi?" Old Ghost asked as he looked at Yang Shi with interested eyes. 

" No wonder, I can feel a weak fluctuation of divine sense inside you."

" Hehe, It's just a piece of good fortune I acquired by a chance." Yang Shi didn't deny it. 

Sure, he can hide his divine sense from the Violet Palace Expansion Realm cultivator, but the Old Ghost is an Origin Core Formation Stage cultivator.

" Awakening the soul even before condensing the palace foundation, Your path toward Violet Palace Expansion Realm will be much easier. Then why are you still stuck in the Seventh stage of Primordial Spirit Realm?" Shen Yanyu asked.

" At this point, Seventh stage, Ninth stage, or Half step Violet Palace Expansion Realm stage is meaningless to me. Due to some problems in my Foundation root, I am currently unable to form a palace foundation." Yang Shi chuckled.

" Oh." Shen Yanyu nodded, but Yang Shi can see a light glee in her eyes.

" I see you already reached the peak of Primordial Spirit Realm. Don't worry, even at my current stage, I can still defeat you with ease." Yang Shi chuckled.

" We will soon find that." Shen Yanyu picked her bow as she looked at Yang Shi. 

" If you survive this attack, then I will truly approve you." 

She smiled as she nocked her bow at Yang Shi. Yang Shi's eyes narrowed a he felt a dangerous sensation.

Shen Yanyu's pupils brightened as the bow burst with light. From its original appearance, it became twice as long. Moreover, an illusory hand appeared behind Shen Yanyu as it pulled the bowstring. 

Slowly, a faintly discernible figure of a lady appeared behind Shen Yanyu, emitting a holy and sacred aura.

" Indeed, This Primordial Spirit is from ''that'' place." Yang Shi mumbled as he looked at Shen Yanyu. 

An arrow already condensed in her bow, pointing at Yang Shi. Just by looking at it, Yang Shi' felt his eyes getting pierced.

" Hoh, Intent of Archery?" Yang Shi spoke with mild surprise.

" It seems you are not dumb as you look. Although it's still basic stage, it is indeed Intent of Archery." Shen Yanyu said proudly. 

" Are you still going to face it?" She asked again. 

" You are not the only one who comprehended an intent." Yang Shi smiled mockingly.

" Hmph! Sacred Lotus Arrow, Descend!" The spirit behind Shen Yanyu released her hands a ray of light shot straightly at Yang Shi. The air sizzled as the arrow of light traveled.

In the midway, the light bloomed like a lotus as its petal covered in all directions, covering all the escape routes of Yang Shi.

It happened in a split second, while Yang Shi drew out his saber as he uttered,

Old Ghost's body trembled a he looked at Yang Shi's move. He instantly recognized the move as it came from the Heaven Saber Seven Arts. He never expected that Yang Shi would already be able to utilize the third move.

Yang Shi's saber hummed as he made a casual horizontal cut. Suddenly, a faint looking aura charged out. The ground split cleanly as the Mountain Cut met the Sacred Lotus Arrow.

" BOOOOOMM"

Both attacks collided as an explosion happened in midair. Still, a faint amount of saber intent managed to reach near Shen Yanyu. 

Shen Yanyu gasped in surprise as she tried to knock another arrow, but then, her bow suddenly cracked as the string broke.
