Chapter 327 The Cocoon

Chapter 327 The Cocoon

Situated atop a huge mountain, a luxurious mansion stood tall, surrounded by lush, beautiful forest. The shimmering sky as the sun rose over the horizon, and the beautiful yet dangerous beasts moving through the skies were a sight to behold.

And yet, for two women sitting at the center of all this beauty, this sight meant nothing. One of them was a long-eared woman with long green hair, while the other was a blue-haired woman.

As they both sat on the roof of the mansion, their eyes fixed on the thing right in front of them.

Just in front of them was a towering barrier, almost the size of the mountain they were living on. Inside the barrier was a huge mist filled with all kinds of colors. The most prominent of them all was blood-red and silver mist.

The eyes of these two were fixed on something in the middle of the very mist. It was a huge cocoon made of blood-red threads that were visible even through the dense mist because of the white and black light pulsing from time to time.

But the eyes of these two women were not affected by the barrier or even the mist. They could see the cocoon as if it were right there in front of them.

It was floating in the air with the support of a huge red-colored gem, namely the philosopher's stone at the very top of the cocoon. Right above the stone floated three things: one of them being a miniature pagoda that emitted a Dao rhythm from time to time.

While the other two were cauldron cum furnace of the same quality as the pagoda while the last one was a simple-looking broken cauldron the size of a palm.

*Woosh!*

From time to time, the cocoon would suck a huge amount of energy from the surroundings and the seals would also renew the used Qi. If one looked closely, one could see a vein-like incinerate pattern on the cocoon that made it look like it was alive.

"He Is still inside that place?… How long has it been?" Hearing the voice, the two of them turned around and looked at the blonde-haired man standing there looking at the same barrier with a worried look on his face.

"It has been over three weeks," Xin Yan replied before looking back at the seal in front of them. She still recalled the day when Noah went unconscious.

Although it was a little scary for her, she believed with all of her heart that Noah would be able to come out of this safely.

"How are things on your end?" Hearing Xin Yan's question, Wuhan sighed while rubbing his temples. "Things do not look good. I went to the other place you two told me about, but it seems that they have become more cautious about their hideouts and without any good array master, I cannot locate the sealed domains."

Hearing his explanation, Elysia clenched her fist unconsciously, but her gaze remained firm as she kept on looking at the barrier in front of them.

"How were things here ever since I left?" Wuhan walked forward and took a seat a little far away from the two women, looking in the same direction as them.

"Things… started good at first." Xin Yan bit her lips as she started recounting the events that happened in those days. "Everything was working fine and it even seemed like Noah might come out of the cocoon at any time, but then…"

Taking a deep breath, she added, "A dark and oppressive aura emerged from the depths of Noah's soul. I think it was his killing intent materialized in reality." She even shivered a little recalling the amount of killing intent she saw.

She could still recall the killing intent taking a materialistic form. "But that ended almost instantly because of the seals. They would have been broken but they repaired themselves almost instantly."

Wuhan nodded before asking, "Do you know the cause of such a thing?"

"We think he came face to face with a mental demon." Xin Yan sighed out loud before continuing, "But thankfully just a few days ago it just ended and everything returned to normal."

"Are you sure that you do not need any rest?" he asked once again, "You two have been here ever since he lost his consciousness."

"We do not want to be away if something goes wrong again." She replied without looking back.

"You know that you can look at him from several miles away, so why do you have to sit here—"

"And waste the time to come here in case something happens or he comes out of here?" It was Elysia who replied this time while looking at the man with annoyance. "Scoff, there Is no way I am letting anyone else see his face before me."

While saying that Elysia sent a hateful glare at the woman sitting beside who promptly ignored her like she was air.

Wuhan started to sweat hearing her words, along with their worries they were also ready to jump at the boy as soon as he came out of that cocoon.

"So what did you come here for?" Seeing the speechless face of the man, Xin Yan slyly changed the topic and asked.

"I came here to tell you that my disciples might come back anytime soon." He sighed before explaining the reason he was there, "I wanted to ask what you want me to tell them about all this?"

"Nothing." Just as he said those words, Elysia replied in an instant before adding, "I have a feeling that he might be coming out soon and you might not need to tell them anything and even if he did not come out, they do not have any right to know whatever is happening here. Just tell them we are in seclusion here and no one is allowed to come here."

Xin Yan also nodded in agreement hearing those words before adding, "Even the silent girl."

"Especially her!" Elysia snorted, recalling the certain innocent girl who had the innocent charm to sway the heart of any straight man.

"…" Wuhan looked at Xin Yan speechlessly; he never thought the woman who treated the girl like her own daughter would say such a thing.

"At least eat something or take a short break. I will be here to keep an eye and I will tell you something as soon as—" Before Wuhan could even complete his sentence, he felt two sharp gazes locking on him.

"Ahem!" he coughed to hide the tensed look on his face before looking away.
