Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 120: The Auction ( Part 8 )

Chapter 120: The Auction ( Part 8 )

Just like that, the Survivors calculated that Bidder 1,101 had already spent more than 10,000 Points!

That was an insane amount, and many of them didn't even gather half of it! They could only imagine what kind of fortuitous event he had encountered over the past few weeks!

Nonetheless, many of them just gritted their teeth as they also don't want to oppose or become enemies with this type of wealthy Survivor.

Of course, there were still plenty of items to be sold, so some of the Clan Leaders heaved a sigh of relief, knowing that Bidder 1,101 shouldn't have many Points at this stage. Even if he does, he shouldn't have enough to compete with them.

The other items to be sold, like the Machine Gun, Laser Rifle, Chainsaw, Acid Gun, Rocket Launcher and others, would surely be obtained by them!

In the meantime, Shane comfortably leaned back on his chair as he was satisfied with his purchase just now.

His strategy was clear—equip himself with the best, and survival would follow. The auction was far from over, but he had already made his mark.

He couldn't help but smile as he believed that Lucas would surely love the weapons he would bring back to the estate.

He would already retire his current pistol and use the double revolvers as his second weapon, and he would use his electric shock blade as his main weapon since it doesn't use ammunition.

As for his hatchet, he would still carry that small weapon since it was also considered a tool and could be used in many types of situations.

'It's probably a good idea to bring a couple of Super Soldiers with me when exploring the outside…' Shane also thought as he imagined these Super Soldiers carrying the heavy Flamethrower and the Bio-Barrier Generator as they ventured outside their camp.

He was already excited to return to his camp!

However, the event wasn't over yet, and he still had plenty of things to take with him!

As the auction progressed, Shane's discerning eye evaluated each item that came up for bid.

The items that followed were actually set of clothes.

They were the upgraded Hunter, Scavenger, and Ranger Sets.

All of them are Tier 3 items, and for sure, the Survivors still fought for them.

They were indeed impressive, as their enhancements were evident in the gleaming fabric and reinforced stitching.

Yet, Shane decided against bidding; he preferred to wait for the chance to acquire them at the Survivor Store. It had a daily refresh, so he had a very high chance of finding these items. They would even be offered at a more reasonable cost since they weren't an upgraded version yet.

The unupgraded version was what he wanted since he could simply do the upgrade himself and not pay more. These sets of clothes were sold for around 350 to 450 Points each and were surely too pricey.

"Mhmm… When will the weapons and other resources appear?" Shane muttered to himself.

Apparently, after the set of clothes was sold, a series of practical items appeared on the block—a set of knives, a bicycle, even a portable toilet, and others—all fetching prices below 200 Points. These were useful, certainly, but not what Shane was holding out for.

'Wait… are the toilets we're using comfortable for others?' Shane suddenly thought to himself. Their estate had many toilets that they had repaired. There were two in the church, one near the previous serf's houses, in the smithy, in Anna's laboratory, even in the warehouse…

They only lacked water, as he still had to use the water he was looting from the Zombies. Well, he had no other choice since the well and the river had already dried up.

'Is there another way to find sources of water? Should we try to clear the well or dig deeper?' Shane thought for a moment as he believed that stacking their container with water from his loot would not be good for the long run…

'Right… Since the estate is pretty much a fortified stronghold, once I returned with these items, I should find another water source soon.

As he was thinking of this, the moment he had been waiting for arrived.

The Machine Gun was unveiled on the stage, its sleek barrel promising a rain of bullets and a roar of power!

It also had an accompanying ammo, a substantial cache that would keep the weapon fed for countless battles! This was simply too enticing and everyone wanted to have this weapon for sure!

The auctioneer's voice cut through the growing excitement! "We shall start the bidding at 200 Points."

The bids flew in, fast and furious, as survivors vied for the weapon.

"Haha! This is it! This machine is ours! The Cockroaches Clan!"

[ Bidder 1125 bids 1,500 Points. ]

"This belongs to the Blue Moon Clan…"

[ Bidder 1456 bids 2500 Points. ]

"Haa… Stop shouting. Our Drakeheart Vanguard would take this weapon. Thank you, everyone. exclusive-content-MvLeMpYr

[ Bidder 1104 bids 4,000 Points. ]

"What?!"

"Four thousand points!"

"This is crazy! So you have that much, and you didn't fight Bidder 1,101! You're weird!"

"Hmph! If I did that, I wouldn't be able to take this weapon away." Travis said as he silently prayed that Bidder 1,101 would no longer bid…

Then, as soon as he saw another bidder, his heart skipped a bit for a moment!

[ Bidder 1102 bids 4,500 Points. ]

"This.." Travis paused for a moment as this was the first time he had seen 1,102 make a bid!
