Global Awakening: Apocalypse Ender's Chronicle

Chapter 265: Looted

Chapter 265: Looted

Shane was shocked seeing the Wild Necromancer turn around and start fleeing!

"What? You're really escaping?" Shane was surprised.

He thought that it was about to summon a stronger Undead!

"Tsk… You're not escaping…"

As the Wild Necromancer made a sudden decision to flee rather than face him in a battle to the death, Shane quickly triggered his Perfect Shadowmeld!

[ Perfect Shadowmeld: When activated, the wearer fades into the shadows, becoming undetectable to the naked eye until the used Spirit Points disappear.

Cost: 1 Spirit Points per second ]

It costs a lot to use it, and perhaps, without a huge Spirit Reserve like him, no one would dare use this skill recklessly.

Nonetheless, he had to do this to catch the Necromancer by surprise.

He had not anticipated the Necromancer's quick retreat, but he knew that he had enough skills to not let this elusive foe slip away.

Whoosh~

In a split second, Shane's body integrated with the shadows, and this action surprised the Wild Necromancer.

After all, he was also monitoring Shane's movement, and disappearing from his senses was definitely not good news. He tried looking around, but he couldn't see or notice any movements from Shane. This made him worry a lot, but he could only move and escape this place since he could always create another shelter for himself.

He was only about 40% complete in his Shelter, and it barely had traps or defenses installed. He was truly unfortunate that there was already a strong Survivor who was able to infiltrate his base in this

'If I have 2 or 3 more days to prepare… My Shelter would be strong enough to stop you…' The Wild Necromancer could only think of this as he did his best to

The Necromancer knew that he was being chased and he had to be careful.

Nonetheless, Shane remained quiet while in pursuit of the fleeing Necromancer, his footsteps were soundless as he exited the Wild Shelter to follow his target…

It didn't take that long before he closed the distance between them.

Utilizing the benefits of his Crypt Crawler Set, Shane's agility and movement speed were greatly enhanced, allowing him to swiftly navigate the the terrain.

Thankfully, the neon glow of the Necromancer's robes flickered in the dim light ahead. It seemed to be some sort of defensive ability of the robe, but it was ultimately helping Shane locate his target. Explore stories at m,v l'e-NovelBin.net

As the gap between them narrowed, Shane calmed his breathing…

With a deft flick of his wrist, he unleashed his Master-Grade Mutant Whip!

It was an item he looted when he had first killed a Flesh Puker Zombie!

Pah!

Its coiled form lashed out towards the fleeing Necromancer.

The barbed tendrils of the whip snaked through the air, seeking the left foot of the Necromancer with perfect timing!

With a satisfying thud, the whip found its mark, ensnaring the Necromancer in its unforgiving grip and halting his movement.

Bam!

The Necromancer stumbled and fell!

It then tried to remove the whip by cutting it with his dagger but Shane used his Phantom Dash. It was a Skill that allowed him to dash at a short distance.

Almost in an instant, Shane was able to kick the dagger in the Wild Necromancer's hands and pull out his Hatchet! At this time, his Perfect Shadowmeld was already automatically canceled as he was already too close to the enemy, and he had already attacked.

Anyway, he didn't let the Necromancer react in time, and he quickly rammed it down to his head!

Bang!

[ You have eliminated a Wild Necromancer. ]

[ Congratulations! You are the first to eliminate a Special Entity within the Fiend Continent! ]

[ You can select one reward: Instant Experience Potion x3, Zombie Cores x200, Random Survivor Skill Scroll ( Guaranteed New ) x1 ]

Everything happened smoothly and Shane couldn't help but smile seeing the message from the system.

'I did it… It's a lot easier than I thought… That turret was the only troublesome in that Shelter.' Shane thought as he looked at the body of the Necromancer.

"You thought you could escape me, huh…" Shane muttered as he decided to remove the Necromancer cloak to see his face…

As he did this, he received a notification to loot the person but he ignored it for now. Since the moonlight wasn't too bright, Shane pulled out one of his Light Orb in his Inventory and see the person's face clearly.

To his surprise, the man appeared quite normal and the only difference was the numerous tattoo marks on his body.

Shane then took out the cloak, robe, and dagger of the Necromancer before he turned his attention to the message.

First, he considered what to select in his reward for the first kill of the Special Entity.

He certainly liked the Instant Experience Potions but the Random Survivor Skill felt a lot more enticing for him. Although he had plenty of Skills already, it wasn't too bad to obtain more.

After all, it was a guaranteed new Skill.

With a sigh, Shane decided to take the Random Survivor Skill Scroll ( Guaranteed New )…

He ignored it for now and looted the Wild Necromancer's corpse.

[ Do you want to retrieve the loot? ]

"Yes."

[ You have earned 50 Experience Points. ]

[ You have earned 1 Reputation Point. ]

[ Loots obtained: Item Upgrade Crystal x1, Orb of Undead Summoning ( Low ) x5 ]

Shane's eyes lit up after seeing this.

It was his first time looting such an Orb, after all.

Quickly, he checked its description inside his Inventory System.

[ Orb of Undead Summoning ( Low ): A single-use mysterious orb that pulses with dark energy, used by the Necromancer to summon and control undead minions. The orb is said to amplify the Necromancer's powers and command over the undead if consumed.

Effects when activated: Undead Summoning: Randomly summon a low-tier Undead.

Effects when consumed: Effective only with those with Necromancer Talent: +10 Dark Spirit. ]

"This is a lot more interesting than I thought… It's a shame that it's only a single-use item though…" Shane muttered.
