Shane wasn't used to this Talent yet. After all, this Talent doesn't just require Spirit Points to be used but also needs plenty of concentration to control the sword.

Shane didn't hesitate. He charged at the nearest Crypt Crawler that was injured by the Flameblade… Then, he raised his hatchet high.

With a powerful swing, he struck the creature's head, the blade biting deep into its skull. The Crypt Crawler let out a shrill screech before collapsing.
The remaining Crypt Crawlers advanced while their jawbones started clicking ominously.
This time, Shane decided to use the effects of his items!
Shane released the Inferno Burst, which summoned two fireballs and blasted the Zombies in front! That was 120 Spirit Points used!

Shane then rushed forward while his hatchet was burning with the use of its Special Effect. He ducked under a swipe from one Crawler, bringing his hatchet up to sever its leg. The creature stumbled, and Shane finished it off with a swift blow to its head.

With the Burning Effect of the hatchet, each strike was lethal for the Zombies.
The Crypt Crawlers' tough skins offered little resistance against his powerful swings. One by one, they fell, their bodies twitching in their death throes.

As the last Crypt Crawler collapsed, Shane took a moment to catch his breath. The tunnel was now silent, the only sound being the distant drip of water. He surveyed the carnage around him, satisfied with his victory.

Shane then proceeded to loot them and obtained the familiar items. The only difference was that the Zombie Rats didn't provide Bread and Water, unlike the Crypt Crawler Zombies.
'I heard that the Zombie Rats drops bread before… Was it because of the Patch?' Shane thought. Of course, the Patch that he was talking about was the update that the system brought, the Regional Server Merge.
[ Zombies detected. ]
[ 20 Zombies Rats ahead. ]
Shane's eyes lit up with anticipation. "Good work, Cloud. Let me take care of them…
Just like that, Shane eliminated more Zombie Rats as his experience points kept increasing.
With his hatchet still ready, Shane moved deeper into the tunnel to eliminate more zombies.

In the meantime, while Shane was exploring the Underground Tunnel that was filled with Zombies, the people in the abandoned city were still searching for the Survivor-Like Zombie.
Eve from the School Shelter and Chris from the Prison Shelter were still reeling from the encounter with the strange zombie that had stolen their kill of the Juggernaut Zombie.
