Chapter 290: Penetration
Chapter 290: Penetration
The Enhanced Senses Tattoo on his right shoulder was already set and had given him the Skill he needed.
Magnus smiled at seeing this, as he knew about it already. To be honest, Dylan complained to him that it took twice the amount of time he usually would to place tattoos on others.
That certainly alarmed Magnus as it showed just how strong Shane was. After all, the higher the level, the higher the difficulty when placing tattoo marks.
Dylan simply didn’t admit it to Shane as he didn’t want to appear too weak in front of him. After all, he was already level 20… He was always the priority of the Clan when it came to looting since they all wanted him to increase the number of Tattoos he could make and to improve his efficiency.
However, despite having all those special treatments, he had almost failed to place a tattoo mark on Shane… He could only feel glad as his proficiency increased a lot after his session with Shane.
Magnus smiled as he recalled this.
"I trust you, Shane… We’ll handle all the other Zombies around it. Please kill that Giant Zombie." Magnus said.
Although he had grenades as his trump card, he knew it could only injure the Giant Zombie at most. Defeating it would still be quite difficult, especially with the other Zombies accompanying this Giant Zombie.
Shane nodded at this as he looked at the Giant Zombie that was approaching them. This time, he decided to pull out his Gunslinger’s Dual Revolvers.
Though these Revolvers didn’t have some fancy effects like his other weapons that could burst out fire and ice, it had a very useful ability that other firearms lacked, and it was the Pierce Rate and the Penetration Rate of the projectiles.
Needless to say, the Gunslinger’s Dual Revolvers doesn’t lack those two.
For now, however, Shane hasn’t aimed for them yet as he has allowed the Turret to work on it. He was also curious if this Turret was good enough to fight against the Giant Zombies.
Soon, the Giant Zombie’s massive form cast a long shadow over the landscape, its heavy footsteps sending tremors through the earth with each ponderous stride.
If they couldn’t halt or vanquish this colossal undead monstrosity, their shelter would be crushed beneath its unstoppable advance.
After it entered the range, Shane turned his gaze towards the Sentinel Mk-IV Automated Turret.
To be exact, most of the defenders in the wall looked at it as if it was their only hope against the approaching terror.
Soon, the Turret hummed to life, its targeting systems locking onto the Giant Zombie with calculated precision. A sense of anticipation hung in the air as everyone braced themselves for the impending clash.
Bam… Bam… Bam…
As the Giant Zombie drew closer, its towering frame blotting out the moonlight… It was also the same time that the Sentinel Mk-IV sprang into action. With a thunderous roar, the Turret unleashed a barrage of energy bullets at the colossal undead creature, each shot aimed at crippling its massive form!
Thud! Thud! Thud! Thud!
The Giant Zombie staggered under the onslaught, its gray and rotten flesh tearing and smoldering from the impact of the energy bullets.
However, the first barrage was only enough to tear its skin and some of its flesh. The attacks weren’t enough to reach its bones, much less to pierce through its body.
Despite the fierceness of the Turret’s assault, the undead giant pressed forward, its terrifying advance threatening to crush everything in its path.
Shane’s heart raced as he watched the battle unfold, his gaze fixed on the Giant Zombie as he tried to calculate whether they would be able to kill the Zombie before it got closer.
’I should probably help to make this faster…’ Shane thought as he readied to fight.
As Shane watched the relentless assault of the Sentinel Mk-IV Automated Turret on the Giant Zombie, a sense of urgency gripped him. He knew that relying solely on the Turret’s firepower might not be enough to bring down the towering undead menace.
With swift movements, he unholstered his Gunslinger’s Dual Revolvers, their polished barrels gleaming in the dim moonlight.
As the Giant Zombie closed in, Shane knew it was the perfect time to help his Turret. It was close enough to ensure his 100% Accuracy Rate with his level 10 Firearm Mastery.
He had to take matters into his own hands!
With a swift and practiced motion, he aimed both revolvers at the creature’s towering head, focusing his gaze on the target despite the noise made by the Turret close to him. Stay updated with ???
Bang! Bang!
As Shane squeezed the triggers, the deafening roar of gunfire filled the night air, the sharp blows of the revolvers blended with the thunderous sound of the automated Turret’s assault.
Bang! Bang!
Shane didn’t stop shooting as he hadn’t heard the notification from the System that he had killed the Zombie yet.
Each bullet fired from Shane’s revolvers found its mark, tearing through the Giant Zombie’s decaying flesh…
The creature staggered under the combined onslaught. Its monstrous form seemed to be unable to withstand the pain of getting shot in its brain!
Of course, Shane knew that this Zombie shouldn’t be feeling pain. However, because its brain was damaged, it started to lose control of its body.
Well, this is the only problem with his gun, which had a high penetration rate. It doesn’t instantly destroy the brain’s functions. He could only pierce through its brain, but with the Zombie having such a huge brain, it was only considered slightly injured with his small bullets.
However, no matter how small his bullets were, as long as he continued firing, the damage to its brain would be large enough to kill it after some time!
Magnus actually wanted to remind Shane that normal firearms, especially low-caliber guns, would not be enough to kill a Giant Zombie.
However, seeing how Shane could pierce through the Giant Zombie’s skin, flesh, and skull, Magnus immediately shut his mouth.
’Incredible… Is he using a Master-Grade Weapon? No… This is simply too powerful. Is it an Epic Weapon? Maybe a Legendary weapon?’ Magnus thought as he looked at Shane’s gun.
