Chapter 291: Offer
Chapter 291: Offer
Magnus couldn't help but feel impressed at what Shane was doing right now.
After all, his Exceptional Grade rifle could only pierce its skin while its bullet would get stuck on its flesh! He knew this very well since they had previously killed a heavily injured Giant Zombie before. It was a giant zombie that seemed to have destroyed a nearby shelter but suffered serious damage in the process.
They were the ones who ended this Giant Zombie, and it was not easy. It took them quite a while, but they knew how tough it was. Of course, this matter wasn't disclosed since they realized in the end that the Giant Zombie was being chased by the Prison Shelter nearby, and they ultimately stole the kill.
Anyway, Magnus' desire to obtain Shane's Turret and Revolvers increased just now. However, he knew that lone travelers like Shane were truly talented, and it was better to befriend such a figure than to offend them. After all, he had no idea what kind of unusual weapons he could take out in his Inventory at this point.
Creak… Creak…
Noticing the Giant Zombie's resilience to the Energy Bullets, the Sentinel Mk-IV swiftly adapted, changing its ammunition to Incendiary Bombs.
Soon, explosions of searing flames engulfed the giant undead while Shane continued shooting with his guns.
The Giant Zombie didn't seem to be capable of feeling pain but it seemed as if it was annoyed by the flame that was ultimately slowing its movements and blocking its sight.
Together, Shane and the automated Turret unleashed their projectiles as they slowly killed Giant Zombie.
Just one more step before it could reach and destroy their stone wall, the creature roared in agony as it struggled to withstand the onslaught, its towering frame shuddered under the ferocity of the attack.
Soon, it bent its knee and struck the stone wall for once!
Boom!
The Shelter trembled but thankfully, it was durable enough to withstand the final attack of the Zombie.
With a last, thunderous volley of bullets and flames, the Giant Zombie finally succumbed to their barrage.
It let out a cry of defeat before collapsing to the ground in a smoldering heap, its once formidable form reduced to a charred husk!
[ You have eliminated a Giant Zombie. ]
Of course, the battle didn't end there as the Elite Survivors of the Ironclad Imperium cleaned up the battlefield and eliminated the remaining Zombies that were following the Giant Zombie's movement.
'So that's the Bronze Skin, huh…' Shane muttered as he saw a group of Survivors charging forward while wielding their swords with ease. For sure, these elites had the three Tattoo Marks: the Enhanced Sense, Bronze Skin, and Sword Mastery.
He also wanted to obtain all of these Skills, but according to Magnus, it was ultimately better to just get one of the Tattoo Marks, as putting more would do more harm than good. Magnus didn't elaborate on it, and he also didn't ask Dylan about it, but he could guess the reason why.
If he wasn't mistaken, placing more tattoo marks wouldn't just put more burden on your body but also weaken the effect of skill. The duration may also be affected by that. Anyway, he decided to leave it at that as he also didn't plan to get skills through this method. He was simply curious about it.
His most reliable method of acquiring skills was still through his looting process.
Hum~
The Sentinel Mk-IV hummed quietly beside him; its task was already complete, and it also had to cool down so it didn't join the battle that followed.
After some time, the mini Zombie Wave they encountered was finally quelled!
"We did it, everyone!" Magnus announced.
"Hahaha! That Giant Zombie really scared us, but it still died from that machine gun!"
"Our Shelter is strong!"
"For the Clan!"
"For the Ironclad Imperium!"
"We'll follow you, Lord Magnus!"
"Thank you, Sir Shane!"
Everyone celebrated as soon as they realized that they could live for another day.
Soon, it was the looting time.
Since Shane was already planning to leave this Shelter, he decided to take back his Automated Turret as well and store it in his Inventory.
After doing all of that, he went to loot the Giant Zombie. Of course, Shane activated his Loot Keeper's Timepiece, which could be used once a day to get five times the normal loot.
As he triggered the looting prompt, Shane excitedly looked at the items he had just obtained.
[ You have earned 50 Experience Points. ]
[ You have earned 1 Reputation Point. ]
[ Loots obtained: Item Upgrade Crystal x10, Zombie Cores x10, Unknown Meat ( Safe ) x30, Unknown Meat ( Unsafe ) x10, 100mL Giant Leader Zombie Blood, Spirit Enhancement Bottle x1, Vitality Enhancement Bottle x2, Agility Enhancement Bottle x2, Leader Spine Club x1 Corrupted Necrosteel Ingot x3 ] x5
'Whoa~ That's a lot…' Shane muttered after seeing the loot.
At this time, Magnus noticed Shane's reaction and realized that he seemed to have looted a decent item.
Without wasting any time, he immediately approached Shane.
"Ahem… How was it? Can you consider selling some to us? As you know, the Marketplace right now is still a bit unstable… I can also tell that you're not lacking in Zombie Cores. It's also difficult to trust private trading right now. How about we do some trade here instead?" Magnus asked.
"Oh? You still have something valuable here?" Shane asked with a smile. He didn't immediately reject the idea of trading.
Upon checking his Inventory, he had a total of 6 Leader Spine Clubs, and he had no way of using all of them. Furthermore, the other 14 clubs that he had obtained before were already given to Mr. Wadsworth as secondary weapons or materials for Leo to modify.
Lastly, Shane doesn't use Club as his main weapon, so he doesn't need too many of them.
Magnus smiled after hearing Shane's question. It shows that Shane was open for negotiation.
"Of course… Allow me to see what you can sell to me, and I'll make an offer.".
Shane nodded at this and showed the Club. Explore hidden tales at ???
