Chapter 326: The Offers
Chapter 326: The Offers
Lord Kang Zhen leaned back in his chair, considering Shane's words.
He could tell that these tokens were a lot more useful during combat. After all, instead of uncapping a bottle and drinking its content, just pouring your Spiritual Energy into the token was a lot easier.
It could be done while moving or while fighting!
"Very well," he said, "I can offer you 800 gold coins for each healing token." He suggested.
Of course, this was open for negotiation. His upper limit would be 2,000 gold coins each. However, if he immediately offered that, he was afraid that Shane would think that it was too little.
However, instead of suggesting a higher price, Shane shook his head slightly.
"Gold coins are useful, but only within these Neutral Shelters. I won't be able to use them in other Survivor Shelters. I was hoping for something more versatile." Shane said.
Kang Zhen nodded thoughtfully and turned to his advisors. "What other options do we have?"
Well, since Shane didn't want to tell them what kind of Item or currency he was looking for, they could only try to suggest what would take his interest.
One of the advisors, a tall man with a stern expression, spoke first. "We could trade 200 Zombie Cores for each token. They are valuable and can be used in various ways."
Again, this advisor offered his lowest estimate after getting a signal from Kang Zhen.
With this offer, Shane didn't reply and simply nodded his head. He certainly considered this as well but he felt that the 200 Zombie Cores were a bit too low.
Another advisor, a woman with sharp eyes and a calculating demeanor, added, "We also have Spirit Stones. Ten Spirit Stones for each healing token would be a fair trade. They are highly sought after for their energy and can be used in many applications."
"Spirit Stones?" Shane repeated.
"Correct… The Spirit Stones can replenish your Spiritual Energy. A hundred units of Spirit Energy for a low-grade while a thousand for a mid-grade… There were top-grade stones as well, but we don't have those here." The female advisor explained, seemingly surprised that Shane didn't seem to be aware of this.
However, as soon as Shane heard this, he couldn't help but feel shocked.
He knew the existence of the Spirit Stones in the Fairy Realm, but he didn't expect that there would be something like this in the Zombie Outbreak!
After all, the A.I. Rebellion's setting doesn't have anything related to Spirit Stones or any magical things. It was purely alien technology or advanced technology.
In that Apocalypse, all the power-ups, aside from the level-up System, were done with the help of memory or technique imprinting and through drugs or genetic fluids of various kinds that alter genes to make people stronger.
He initially thought that the Zombie Outbreak would also be quite similar to this and wouldn't involve too many magical things, aside from the System's magical help, like the Item's magical effects through the upgrade crystals aid.
However, it seemed that he had underestimated this Zombie Outbreak…
'Is this related to the Neutral Shelter's appearance?' Shane mused.
'Anyway… This is better…'
Seeing that Shane was still not that satisfied, a third advisor, an elderly man with a long white beard, suggested, "We could offer rare alchemical ingredients. These are hard to come by and could be very useful for someone with your skills."
"Oh? Can you tell me what these alchemical ingredients are?" Shane asked as he suddenly recalled something important.
The advisor smiled and nodded. "We have almost everything here. You can check the Alchemy Warehouse later, and perhaps you can find something there that you want."
"Ahem… Then, do you have Ancient Oak Moss?" Shane asked as he recalled that he was still unable to produce the elixir he needed because he didn't have this one ingredient!
To be exact, he needed 400 grams of the Ancient Oak Moss in order to make the elixir of Titan's Roar.
It was the only item missing in the recipe! Furthermore, if their warehouse was really filled with many ingredients, then he might be able to concoct the other recipes listed in the Blood Alchemy Book!
Seeing that Shane was interested in Alchemy Ingredients, everyone's eyes lit up.
Kang Zhen then immediately looked at their advisor handling the Alchemy ingredients. He doesn't know much about this. It was also his first time hearing about the Ancient Oak Moss.
Although they don't have alchemists in their shelter, they at least have apprentice alchemists. They weren't capable of making high-grade potions, but they were more than enough to make the most basic tonics that don't require too many skills.
The problem with this, however, was that they were wasting too many resources to make low-quality potions or pills that had a high impurity. They weren't capable of maximizing the full effects of their precious ingredients.
The advisor then looked at Lord Kang Zhen and assured him and Shane.
"Yes, we have those Ancient Oak Moss and many other ingredients." The advisor replied.
Shane and the Lord's eyes lit up. It seemed that the deal was sealed!
"I have plenty of these Healings Tokens with me. I'd like some of them to be traded with Zombie Cores, while the others would be for Spirit Tokens and Alchemy Ingredients. If you have other items you can think to offer, that might be great." Shane said.
Everyone in the room was finally excited. If Shane was able to produce a hundred or even fifty of these Healing Tokens, they would be able to start clearing the areas with strong Zombies and some Zombie Dens around!
A fourth advisor, a younger man with a scholarly appearance, proposed, "What about access to our advanced mechanical workshops? You could use our facilities to create even more sophisticated items. Of course, you can also ask our Artisans if you want to some devices."
This offer also took Shane's interest.
