Chapter 1957  Indecisive Cheer Leaders.

Despite this disparity in power, Legion-1 still flew over to fight the ancient titan. Goldwyn saw him too and recognized him. It sneered and said, "Punny god. You have become a bigger morsel. It will be fun to eat you this time around."

Legion-1 didn't use his domain as it would be a waste to use it against a single target. Instead, he used the good old-fashioned divine strike.

A bright white light formed on his fingertip. Then it shot forward like a shooting star. It was as bright and as large as a shooting star descending to the earth. This divine spell now uses both 100% of Authority and 100% of world power. That is the exclusive ability of Celestials. So the simple attack that had started with him as a lowly godling had become a threat to ancient titans. Goldwyn certainly felt that it was threatening. So it used all of its ability to resist. It formed an attack with its world power that it used to stop his divine strike. A blade of golden light formed in front of Goldwyn and flew forward. The golden blade of light clashed with the shooting star that he made.

The two attacks clashed in midair. One of them had a power of 5 billion while the other had a power of 2.64 billion. Their clash produced enough energy to create an explosion similar to a star. Then the golden light flew through this explosion toward Legion-1. The golden blade of light had dimmed, but it was almost twice as powerful as his attack, so it still had a lot of power to threaten him after the clash with his shooting star. He couldn't defend against the attack because it was too powerful, but he could dodge it. It did so and attacked Goldwyn from another direction. In fact, it was a better idea to shift his divinity to speed so that he could dodge and attack at the same time. If he had focused all of his power on defending, he would probably have failed at it. Even if he didn't fail, he would be too preoccupied with it to do anything else. He was faster than Goldwyn if he used his Authority to enhance his speed. Then he could use his world power to empower his divine spells in order to whittle the ancient Titan.

Even without his Authority, his world power of 1.86 billion was still greater than the Endurance of Goldwyn, which was at 1.1 billion. So each attack caused damage of 760 million to the ancient titan.

He just needed to make 149 such attacks while making sure that Goldwyn didn't hit him once. One attack from Goldwyn and he would be done. He was using their new weapon, World Killer. It is a black whip, which he got as the reward for being the first Celestial. He has upgraded it to the max, so it uses 100% of both world power and divinity. With this whip and his speed of 800 million, he can make 25 attacks worth 760 million per second. So he ought to be able to destroy Goldwyn's 112.5 billion health pool in six seconds. But things weren't so simple. First of all, Goldwyn could attack in return. The ancient titans attacks could overwhelm his attacks and still threaten his life. So he had to dodge a lot of times, and sometimes he had to put all of his world power and Authority into escaping for his life, which reduced his damage output. Secondly, the ancient Titan could regenerate, and its regeneration was very fast. It could regenerate with its world power at a rate of 5 billion per minute.

This was just its passive regeneration. It had also gained active regeneration, in which it could increase its regeneration through the earth it was standing on. It would use both active and passive regeneration to heal itself while Legion-1 was distracted trying to dodge its attack. So a fight that should have lasted six seconds lasted more than 30 minutes. If not for the help of the other clones supplying him divine energy, he wouldn't have survived that long. He continued to fight without fear because he doesn't think he has anything more than divinity to lose. The gods watching in the distance didn't cheer for him. In fact, they didn't know what to feel about a god fighting an ancient titan. The ancient titans are clearly the enemies of the gods. They have succeeded in destroying three divine cities in the Northern Divine Realm alone. So they should be put down.

But 9 Crowns is a nuisance they would like to get rid of too. Unlike the ancient titans, who come once in a while, 9 Crowns is always around, constantly stalking their hiding place and ready to devour them. Maybe they would hope for victory if it were any god fighting the ancient titan. But right now, what they are hoping for is for 9 Crowns to be crippled.

They don't want the ancient titan to kill him. That much they ar clear about. But they want him crippled so that they can kill him and take his domain and divinity.

They don't want to lose 9 Crowns' domain to the ancient titan. After all, it is their just reward for all the suffering they have had to endure at his hands. So they were hoping that no matter what happens, 9 Crowns will still be alive for them to kill easily. Unfortunately, their hope was dashed, and their wish would go unfulfilled because 9 Crowns felled the ancient titan. Goldwyn fell apart into pieces after the final attack struck it. It didn't curse like someone who was just defeated should do. Instead it laughed. It laughed loudly as it died and said, "I will be back, and the gods will be no more."

Legion-1 had heard that line several times, so he wasn't concerned by it. Instead, he looked at the other ancient titans rushing towards Gemmis and sighed in pity. He would like to attack them, but Legion is out of divine energy. He just can't sustain another intensive fight with an ancient titan so soon.
