Chapter 1958  A Grave Mistake.

Actually, he doubts he could even defeat the other ancient titans even if he had divine energy to fight. It is because the other ancient titans were much faster than Goldwyn and would be able to kill him easily. He had picked Goldwyn to fight because it was the slowest. Goldwyn had the toughest defense amongst the ancient titans, which made him more difficult to kill. But while the other ancient titans were more fragile, they were stronger and faster. He would be defeated in a fight with them. He muttered, "I can see how the gods would be wiped out at this rate. We are just too weak."

His angel didn't agree. It said, "You shouldn't be able to kill an ancient titan this soon. But you have grown too fast."

He nodded and said, "Indeed. Most gods are still heavenly gods. By the time they become Celestial, the ancient titans would have become too strong for them to kill."

He didn't dwell on this for long because the reward for the fight came soon after. He had lost a lot of divine energy, but the reward more than made up for it. He got to keep all the titan crystals created from the heart of the dead ancient Titan. It was a total of ten titan crystals. With it, Legion will be able to further their goals in building more powerful weapons to rival Golden Light, Myriad Armament, and World Killer. They can even comprehend the laws of this world through the titan crystals. They discovered this possibility after they became Celestials. Their divine body has become limitless, so the shackles binding them have become relaxed. They could comprehend the laws of this world now, but they are not going to do so. After all, they have learned their lesson from the first sage. He will also earn more domains from Goldwyn's death because, as usual, the ancient Titan left an abyss where it had died. This abyss contains a trial for domains. He has already received the domain quest for all the trials available. He smiled and said, "Six more domains. This is going to be good."

Legion-3 said, "Things are going to be better in the future now that we know that the ancient titans don't use a domain attack."

Legion-1 agreed. "Yes. We will be able to take down the ancient titans faster and kill more than one. We will be rich."

His fight with Goldwyn would have turned out differently if he had besieged it with the other clones. 6 or 9 Celestials fighting one ancient titan would have surely increased the pressure on the ancient titan and let them kill it faster. But they weren't sure about the effect of the ancient titan's god-devouring ability on them. They don't know if having clones would be able to overcome the devouring of the ancient titan and let them keep their domain if one of them is killed by an ancient titan. They also didn't know if Goldwyn had an area of attack ability or domain ability. If it did, then there would be no difference between Legion-1 attacking it alone or bringing five other clones to attack it. Goldwyn would be able to kill all of them at once.

So they didn't want to risk too many clones. They thought it better to send one clone to test the waters. This led to the situation where Legion-1 spent too much divine energy. Now he can't attack any more ancient titans.

However, as a test, the outcome of this battle is already good enough for them. With the sacrifice of divine energy, they will be able to monopolize the trials and domains that Goldwyn has dropped since they are the only ones who had anything to do with the ancient titan's death. But just as he was about to enter one of the abysses, someone came up to him. The god flew over from afar to him.

Legion-1 frowned when he noticed a god approaching him just after his fight with the ancient titan and when he was in a state of depleted divine energy. He thought the god was coming to steal his domains or attack him, but he relaxed a little when he saw who it was. The god said to him, "Congratulations on your feat, 9 Crowns."

He was still frowning as he replied, "To what do I owe this visit?"

Monarch High Heaven shook his head and said, "You shouldn't have killed the ancient Titan. If I had known that you were planning to kill it, I would have advised you not to."

Legion-1 was taken aback. He asked, "Why not?"

The Monarch replied, "I'll tell you back in the void universe."

Then he flew away. Legion-1 shook his head. Then he returned his attention to the closing access to the domain trial in the ground. Not that it would be a trial for someone as powerful as him. He could simply waltz through it. But he wasn't willing to spend that much time on the trials. Instead he stretched forth his hand towards the tunnel in the ground.

Six arms made of world power materialized and grabbed the entrance. Then it dug into it for a while. A few seconds later, the arms came back up, clutching domains in their grasp. He nodded at the sight. Then he returned to Gemmis. The gods had already dispersed their avatars when they saw him win the battle with the ancient titan. They knew that once 9 Crowns became unoccupied, he would make himself busy with hunting other gods. So they scattered so that they won't be his target. -------

Back in the void universe The clones were discussing what Monarch High Heaven meant. They discussed for a long time, but they couldn't come to a conclusion. They could only wait for the person who designed God's Domain to tell them what they had done wrong. They had to wait a long time because there was always a delay in the communication between the two parties. This was to ensure that the communication channel wouldn't be used to track each other or used for other nefarious purposes.
