Chapter 251: A new headline
Despite how it seemed it had actually taken several hours for Helena to modify the two ritual from before so it was right at seven in the morning at the moment. With this in mind Nick figured it would be fine to go eat. There were a few people in the halls who had either chosen to skip breakfast or were heading there themselves. No one seemed to notice that Helena wasn't floating next to Nick but rather walking instead. They also didn't seem to notice how she couldn't be seen through like most ghosts.-
This changed however when they arrived in the great hall and Helena sat down at the Ravenclaw table before casually filling a plate and digging in. It only took a few moments for the first student to realize exactly what was wrong with that scene. From there it rapidly spread through the whole hall as almost everybody was staring at Helena feasting. Her table manners were impeccable so she didn't make a mess despite it being clear she was eating nearly as much as Nick. Dumbledore had a serious expression from the professors table as he had also clearly noticed the wand Helena had.-
The other professors were also aghast at the spectacle as for all intents and purposes it seemed as though Helena Ravenclaw had been resurrected! Colin Creevey the first year with the muggle camera wasted no time at all snapping a photo of this clearly significant event. Nick ignored all this as he , Dusk and Steve ate though he did notice how Ginny seemed to have an odd look. According to his magical senses however it wasn't her who was making that face but rather the parasitical diary in her robes. Clearly Riddle had never imagined in his wildest dreams that the ghost of Ravenclaw would be resurrected.-
If the look of dread on Ginny's face was anything to go by then the soul shard had likely already figured out that the secret of his "immortality" was probably not so secret anymore. The following look of cold determination however tempted Nick sorely to skip out on the basilisk and directly snatch the horcrux from the girl but he stopped himself. 'He's probably just made up his mind to push the timeline for the first attack forward is all.' he thought while calming himself.-
After they wee done eating Nick and his two animal companions left the hall without anyone save Dumbledore the wiser. Nick went back to the Workshop to hammer out his new layer of occlumency shields while the news spread like wildfire through the castle and even outside of it as students sent owls to their parents and siblings. Nick couldn't care less about this as he sat cross legged in the workshop with his eyes closed. In his mindscape he was arguing with Celebrimbor over the next set of shields he set up. "How is that better than my endless swarm of birds?" Nick asked irritated as the stubborn elf insisted he use something of his people as a defense.-
"The twin trees of Valinor were the greatest trees of all time to our people and whose final fruits alone became our sun and moon. Nothing could be greater to protect your mind!" Celebrimbor insisted. "They got destroyed though! If I used such a thing as a defensive measure it would expose a fatal flaw into my defenses!" Nick shouted to try and drive this fact into the stubborn elf's mind. "It would be worth it to constantly bathe in the two trees light!" Celebrimbor insisted.-
"If it was the real thing sure but it is just a fake! A fraud! And I refuse!" Nick said angrily. They went back and forth like this for hours in the mindscape but nothing got done. Nick had tried to change the stubborn elf's opinion but failed to and as such decided to ignore him. As grateful as he may have been to Celebrimbor he wasn't going to create such a blunder in his occlumency shields just to satisfy him. The best he was willing to do was create a replica of the two trees without any real substance to them.-
So with a bit of a mental flex he spawned into existence two absolutely massive trees within the mindscape. One glowed with a brilliant warm golden light while the other glowed with a pale silver light that felt protective and wise. The were so large that they seemed to blend into the stars above and had trunks and roots the size of countries. Celebrimbor smirked when they popped up making it clear that Nick had been played like a fiddle by the old elf from the beginning of the argument.
