Chapter 2: A Terrible Ending [2]
Chapter 2: A Terrible Ending [2]
"Any last words?..."
He proceeded to say.
The black-haired boy didn't do anything at first, he then smiled or rather widely grinning and lifted up a single middle finger that was bloody.
"With all the gods and constellations watching...SCREW YOU ALL!!!"
His words came to an end as his neck was met by the blade severing the head as it plopped onto the ground with a sickening crunch putting an end to his life.
The white haired boy proceeded to spread his arms, the moonlight shining on him as he proceeded to laugh.
"Our age is finally here...a new dawning ERA!"
The other four moved close to him all smiling along as they stood in the debris of what was once an academy of talented geniuses.

Then the screen went blank.
What followed was a message that said;
[You have completed the Final Act of the story]
And just as it had appeared the screen went completely blank for the second time.
"W-what the hell?"
A man in his mid twenties uttered.
He had black messy hair, brown eyes and an average looking face that wouldn't turn any female heads his way.
Average body build, not that tall and was in a room that only screamed 'bachelor and bitchless.'
The only expensive looking thing was the pc set up before him.
He looked at the screen of his monitor and then moved to click the "ENTER" button on his keyboard.
That didn't work and he began clicking the mouse buttons uncontrollably before finally loosing it and smashing the mouse on the floor.
"There's no way...there's no fucking way..."
"That can't be the ending..."
He pulled back in his chair and picked up the mouse, to his surprise the mouse was still functioning.
He went to the game's official website to take a look and confirm whether he was the only that experienced that terrible ending.
After 5 years, the game had finally concluded.
And the shut in that he was, he was devoted to completing it no matter what.
But here he was feeling like he was betrayed.
He saw the company appreciating the players for following the story of [Draven Lockwood] up to this point as the game had come to an end.
"Draven Lockwood?"
The man in his room mumbled.
"Wasn't that the Game's villain who eventually met his demise?"
He finally pieced it together, though he didn't want to think it, he knew that was what it meant.
Draven Fenris had been the TRUE Protagonist and not the white-haired guy.
"Then...that means the actual main characters became villains..."
His frustrations led him to access a streaming platform known as "Glitch".
It was the widest and most used streaming platform and he knew there were bound to be people playing the game.
He spent some time watching people's reactions to the ending, he laughed at how relatable it was at times.
"The company must be trolling...right?"
One of the streamers, the most popular at least with over 25k people watching live as of the moment said while taking off his headphones and brushing his hair back.
"I mean...it kinda makes sense...I don't know how, but it does," he said as he looked at the chat room and laughed a bit.
"Chat is this real?"
He asked while leaning back in his chair.
[Poppyplayer23: I mean, what do you expect from the company, they always leave their players with a cliffhanger, no matter how good the game is.]
[Molester58: True...but to be honest, that blue-haired girl was a baddie]
[Regressed_god: Come on guys, if you really think about it...it wasn't that bad]
[Muscle_man12: @Regressed_god Shut up, your delusional]
"You guys are wild..." the streamer said looking at the chat room.
Kim Hajun who was the player that had come to love the game and invested a lot of money into getting the perfect set up just to play this game lay back in his chair.
He was infuriated.
Other players were taking the ending so lightly, but to him he felt almost entirely betrayed.
Or was it because he had been a hardcore gamer and fully immersed himself in it?
He had tried different outcomes, such as interacting with other Npcs irrelevant or revelant to the story, doing things differently and even going as far as exploiting unseen Acts in the game.
Yet it all had the same ending.
Feeling frustrated he moved and went to the Game's website wanting to vent out all his anger.
How? By leaving the worst review known to man.
[Hajun_loki: First of all, screw the game developers and story writers. Secondly, this is the shittiest ending a game has ever delivered to its loyal players. To think the TRUE Protagonist was coldly murdered like that by those sons of bitches you call 'Main Characters. If I was in control, I would make sure I killed every single main character! This company just lost a valuable player]
He forcefully shut off his pc and went to bed still feeling frustrated as ever.
He had never felt like this in his 23 years of living.
He grabbed his phone next to his pillow and saw a message with the company's name in it.
'Did they finally see the hate the game was receiving and are deciding to fix that shitty ending?'
He thought hoping that was the case.
He opened the message and saw that it was from the Game Developer and Actual Story Writer.
It was a reply to the one-star review he had made.
A single text glared at him.
[Very well, let's see if you can do better...]
