Chapter 211 - New Neighbor

Chapter 211: New Neighbor

The next day, at the Civil Affairs Bureau.

The car stopped by the roadside and the Bureau Chief came out personally. He knocked on the tinted glass of the passenger seat with a respectful and flattering expression.

Jin Yang wound down the car window and handed over a leather folder filled with documents.

“Don’t worry, I will settle it as soon as possible!”

The Bureau Chief accepted the leather folder. He was very curious and tried to peep at the backseat of the car.

What kind of woman could capture the president’s heart?

Jin Yang sensed his intentions. He narrowed his eyes and leaned forward slightly to block the Bureau Chief’s view.

His voice was cold as he warned, “This matter must be kept a secret. There must not be any trace of this in your system.”

The Bureau Chief nodded hurriedly and turned around.

After about 15 minutes, two red certificates with the official seals landed in Jin Yang and Qiu Tong’s hands.

Qiu Tong looked at the special marriage certificate bearing their names and casually stuffed it into her handbag.

Jin Yang nodded and the driver drove towards the villa. He turned his head, revealing his clear jawline as he said in a low voice, “I’ll be staying at the villa for the time being.”

“Fine.”

He thought that the matter had been resolved.

However, as the car drove into the villa district, Jin Yang opened the passenger seat door. The two of them were surprised to see Song Yan standing in the courtyard of the neighboring villa, pushing a lawnmower. He waved at them with a relaxed expression and whistled. “Hi!”

“I didn’t expect you two to get legally married.”

“Does that mean I have to call Qiu Tong my sister-in-law? You guys won’t mind if I move in next door, right?”

Song Yan leaned against the lawnmower and raised an eyebrow at Qiu Tong. “I’ll come by your house for lunch later.”

“I have some bad habits. For example, I can’t control my mouth when I’m hungry.”

“If someone who is about to faint from hunger calls Jin Tao and inadvertently divulges something you want to keep secret, I’m afraid things won’t be good for you.”

Song Yan threatened Jin Yang, who frowned and did not answer.

This was Qiu Tong’s home, and he would let her decide.

No matter what the consequences were, he would find a way to bear and resolve it.

Qiu Tong glanced at Song Yan tiredly. After saying “whatever”, she turned the doorknob and disappeared from sight.

Song Yan walked to Jin Yang’s side and bumped his shoulder against his chest. He gritted his teeth with a dark expression. “I won’t give up so easily.”

“By doing this, you only proved that Qiu Tong is special to you. This will just motivate me more to snatch her away from you!”

“Jin Yang, you wait and see.”

Song Yan pushed the door open and entered.

The children stared at him warily and with hostility. From his clothes, they could tell that the man in front of them was not Jin Yang.

Song Yan did not mind. He went to the kitchen to help Qiu Tong prepare the ingredients for lunch. He grabbed a few vegetables and rinsed them under the tap. Amidst the splashing water, he said casually, “Jin Yang just wants to take revenge on me. He doesn’t really love you and the children.”

“You don’t know, do you? There’s another woman in my brother’s heart.”

“That woman once lived in the official residence for a few years…”

These words echoed in Qiu Tong’s ears. She was slicing potatoes with a knife and she gave a slight jerk. The sharp blade grazed her skin, causing blood to ooze out.

She recalled the few times when Jin Yang was unconscious and severely injured. He had subconsciously muttered some words. Her heart tightened with frustration at the memory.

Seeing that his goal had been achieved, Song Yan returned to the living room and sat beside Qiu Xingyu, who was playing with her toys.

“Little Yu, I’m your real father.”

Song Yan tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear. His tone was alluring.

Qiu Xingyu was so frightened that she widened her eyes and wanted to dodge. Jin Yang threw a punch. Song Yan tilted his head and used his finger to wipe the blood from the corner of his mouth.

“Stay away from them. If I hear those words coming out of your mouth again, I will…”

Song Yan suddenly stood up and stared straight at Jin Yang. He asked menacingly, “You will what?”

“You will banish me?”

Song Yan heard footsteps behind him and quickly wiped his earlier expression from his face. He took the initiative to help Qiu Tong carry the food over. “Don’t be so nervous. I just wanted to have lunch.” His thin lips curled up, and his eyes were filled with innocence, as if he had become a completely different person.

In an abandoned factory on the outskirts of the city, Yu Ge was tied to a cement pillar. He was covered in injuries and appeared to be on his final breath.

Dina sat on the cement block. He stared at Yu Ge with a sallow and haggard face. He coughed out two mouthfuls of blood. “Trash!”

“It has been so many days but you failed to bring Qiu Tong over! What’s the use of keeping you?”

“You are just a burden!”

Dina’s subordinate understood the hint in his eyes. He swung a barbed whip at Yu Ge. Yu Ge cried out in pain as his flesh split open. He begged for mercy. “Give me one more chance. I will definitely be able to bring her to you!”

“No need.”

Dina stood up and walked to the mirror. He rubbed his chin with a fierce look. “I don’t have time to wait anymore!”
