Chapter 161: A Complicated Question
Chapter 161: A Complicated Question
...…
"That woman is something else, alright…" Yang Hua commented while standing in an elegant posture, talking about the dragon bimbo as she watched the unbothered crimson-haired man. She did so with that same obsessive gleam in her emerald-like eyes.
"Yeah, she is a bit unhinged, but sometimes I'm a little jealous of how free she is when it comes to expressing whatever she wants to," Li Na chimed in on the conversation with a posture just as sophisticated as Yang Hua's.
Following her voice, both she and the 'First Wife' looked toward the other unruly woman, who at this moment was sneaking her way over to the dessert items on display in a different part of the shop.
And it didn't take long before You Mei started munching away at everything that she fancied, all before the actual celebration even started…
"That disciple of mine is…" Bing Nu Shen let out a soft sigh as she watched her second-eldest disciple devour anything in sight.
However, even though all of them were criticizing the voracious pair of troublemakers, they wouldn't deny that the treats were beginning to appear extremely appetizing…
That was, except for one industrious woman who stood to the back of the group with a sleek, icy blue sword in hand.
"I don't understand how you all have such a sweet tooth when you should be more focused on cultivation instead," Rou Tian remarked with a judging look on her face.
"..." "..." "..."
The rest of the women looked at the eldest disciple of the Crimson Devil Lord. They should've figured that even during a birthday party like this one, she would never not stop being so serious. And it turned out that they were correct…
"You can loosen up a little bit, you know?" Bing Nu Shen spoke with an awkward expression as she picked up a few desserts and began to take small bites out of them.
"I don't want to hear that from the woman who was acting like a stone-faced Tsundere for the first few dozen years after meeting my master."
Rou Tian sneered before gleaming over her most recent understanding of the Sword Law.
I was so close to achieving the precipice of something greater, but before I reached that point, these bums dragged me away from my cultivation…
She was more than a little vexed because of what they had done, but upon seeing the gentle smile of her master focused on her, all that annoyance seemed to fade away like a cool spring breeze.
"...Master-con…" Bing Nu Shen, Yang Hua, and Li Na commented at the same time.
The Ice Goddess wasn't even mad about what that slick-tongued girl had said. After all, that man's eldest disciple had it far worse off than she ever did when they were on Prometheus.
"H-How dare you three, l…!" Rou Tian was utterly livid at the remarks made by the three Ice Queens, as she was on the verge of conjuring a deadly sword from thin air.
One would usually be intimidated by the feisty woman who was capable of destroying entire buildings, even in this world. But for the three Ice Queens, upon seeing that profuse blush adorning the pretty facial features of their youngest niece, no amount of fright was able to overcome the mocking looks on their faces.
"Y-You…!!"
WAAA!
Rou Tian was about to fight her mother's right then and there, but before she could lunge forward, a soft, firm, yet gentle and soothing voice resounded inside the cake shop:
"Come sit next to your master, my dear disciple."
Azmodeus beckoned the hot-headed woman to his side as he made some room for her on the red cushion-lined booth he and Pan Nu were sitting at.
WAAaa…
Rou Tian's aura immediately died down as she stammered, "Y-Yes, Master. I'm coming over right now...!"
She followed up these flustered words by walking up to the table surrounded by colorful balloons with the number 18 embedded on the front of them.
But before she fully made it away from the rest of the girls, Rou Tian made sure to flash the most 'aggressive' look she could make with those overly adorable features of hers.
And in response to that fading expression, Yang Hua, her Eldest Senior Disciple, and her Master, simply giggled a bit before following right behind her.
*Tsk!*
Rou Tian clicked her tongue at the three women she called her Eldest Mother, Third Eldest Mother, and Fourth Eldest Mother. After which, she settled herself in right next to her master, sitting at just the right distance to revel in her master's scent without making it too obvious…
Unlike her 'Mother's', she was what one would call a 'closet pervert', and the Crimson Devil Lord was abundantly aware of this little quirk. However, he preferred to overlook it as some sort of phase she was going through.
Nevertheless, today was not Rou Tian's day, so let's get back to the birthday girl herself…
-
"How does it feel to be an adult now, my Second Eldest Disciple?"
Azmodeus's cold voice oozing of warmth echoed out inside the cake shop where they all gathered for events like these, buying out not only every single employee but also the store itself.
And for today, there was no one but him and his group of girls inside of it, with all of them gathered around a large circular oak wood table. It sat at a spot where the sun's rays lit up the interior of the establishment with just the right amount of resplendent splendor.
All of the women were conversing among themselves, talking about cultivation, Azmodeus, professions, and mostly Azmodeus…
On the other hand, as they were talking about various things centered around the man who started it all, the man in question glanced over a menu that he had long since memorized.
He was doing this while circulating his Elusive Ascension Technique, acclimating his cultivation base through a little cheat code he figured out he could do after acquiring a Physique called the 'Ultimate Gatherer' a few years ago. It was a Physique that allowed him to negate all wasted time that could be spent cultivating with the Elusive Ascension Technique.
As he listlessly looked over a menu, the birthday girl tried to figure out what her answer should be to the 'complicated' question that she was asked by her master…
