JONAS' VILLA.

Josh Saint and Mimi Garcia were having the time of their lives unbeknownst to the things that had happened. Mimi was moaning loudly as Josh rode her in doggy position. He would slap her ass as he thrust into her every time making her cry.

Josh slummed harder into Mimi one last time with a release and fell on to the bed along with her. Pants of breath could be heard from them as they culled together with sweat.

''This is the best sex I have ever had Josh. I could almost feel myself floating on air. How do you do that?'' Mimi said satisfactorily in an attempt to boast Josh ego. D-CITY POLICE HEADQUARTERS.

Mimi and Josh rushed into the police station and saw Mr. Garcia behind bars. A detective walked to them and spoke.

''Are you Miss Garcia?''

''Yes, can you tell me what is going on here? Why is my father behind bars?'' Mimi spoke in one breathe with Josh standing by her side.

''Mr. Garcia was arrested for kidnapping, fraud, embezzlement of government funds and the use of illegal drug to aid in a scientific research''. The detective said and Mimi stumbled backwards and Josh held her.

''How is that possible? Who did he kidnap?'' Mimi asked with a wild premonition ''it wasn't August Maijune, was it?'' Mimi continued. The detective looked at her surprisingly.

''Do you know Miss Elizondo?''. The detective asked.

''Miss Elizondo? That's August Maijune, right?'' Mimi said.

''Yes. She was kidnapped and held hostage by the governor. He was arrested an hour ago and the whole city is on fire. How did you not know until now when he is your father?'' The detective asked eyeing Mimi and Josh.josei

A pang of guilt filled Mimi Garcia immediately. That was the time she and Josh Saint were having sex. She clutched her fist into a ball.

''I haven't introduced myself. I am Josh Saint the owner of Saint Hotel'' Josh introduced himself to the detective. A flash of recognition bloomed in the detective's eyes as his countenance changed to a more respective one.

''Oh, Mr. Saint. I didn't recognise you earlier. I am sorry for that''.

''Is alright. but, is it possible to get the governor released on bill until the investigation is done? I can vouch for him''. Josh Saint said.

The detective scratched his head a bit in a fit of difficulty. Just some minutes ago, his chief commanded had told him not to allow the governor to leave the ceil until he is forwarded to the prosecutors' office tomorrow and now Josh Saint was here asking him to release on bill.

''I'm sorry Mr. Saint but the higher ups won't allow for a release on bill. The crimes and allegations coupled with the evidence at hand won't allow for the governor to be released on bill. I'm really sorry but there is nothing I can do for you. why don't you go back home and wait for a letter from the prosecutors' office?''. The detective said.

This was a high profile case and the person involved wasn't a normal civilian but a governor of the city. The public's interest was on this case since it involved a government official and the crimes committed were not ordinary. From kidnapping to fraud and even forging of government documents to aid a scientific research were all capital crimes which the city's constitution abhorred.

Mimi shook her head in disapproval and turned to Josh desperately saying ''Josh, please. You have to do something. My father, I can't let him be here. He is all I have''.

''Mimi, calm down and come home with me. I promise to find a way out no matter what. I won't let anything happen to your father''. Josh said comfortingly.

''You have to help me, Josh'' Mimi said clingingly.

''I promise. Let's go home for now'' Josh said and held unto Mimi as they walked out.

As they were going out, Mimi turned and looked at her father who was inside the prison with an eerie gaze. It frightened the man and he shrieked backwards afraid to look her in the eye. Mimi looked down and gave a sly smile when no one noticed. Her actions were contrary to her behaviour just now.

When they left, the detective looked at the governor and shook his head. His only child came and wanted him to be released but never went to speak to him. He found the whole situation bizarre. He looked at the retracting figures of the two and felt a heavy foreboding inside of him.

JOSH VILLA.

Josh helped Mimi to settle on the sofa and he put her luggage down and went to get her a glass of water. The governor's house which was Mimi's house was locked up with security everywhere. She was only allowed to get a few things and nothing could be taken out of the house as everything could be used as evidence later on.

Mimi felt like her world was coming to an end. How did it come to this? She always knew her father was into shady businesses but she never allowed that to hinder her. To Mimi, her father's business was his business and she never got involved in any of them. She knew from long ago that her father was not an honest man but she never thought it would come back to bite her in such a way.

Mimi wiped a tear that threatened to drop and kept thinking. Everything started because of that woman. August Maijune. She is the one to be blamed in all of this. why did she have to be a so-called science genius who inherited her knowledge of science and research from her parents? If she wasn't so capable, her father wouldn't have tried to form an alliance with Madam Myers just to have her in his team of scientists.

The more Mimi thought about the who situation, the angrier she got and the more hatred she harboured towards August Maijune. If only that woman could just disappear from the face of the earth. Everything could have been much better. Her father wouldn't have had to be arrested and she wouldn't have to end up with nothing. First, it was Aaron Saint. She had her eyes set on that man for so long only to have that bitch steal him away.

When people are faced with problems, they fail to understand or work out their role in what had happened. They fail to recognise the role they played in making things become the way they were now. Such was the situation of Mimi Garcia. Instead of getting her head cleared to get to the bigger picture, she preferred to put the blame on someone else.

That is how most people are. We feel that as long as we put the blame on this and that person, things will get better. We think it will make us feel a lot better if we were to blame someone else for the consequences of the actions we took. More often, we tend to live a delusional life with the mind-set that if we just push the blame on another person, everything else will go away along with it. As long as this person or that person takes the fall for us, things will be easier and when things don't go our way, we resort to desperate measures. As the saying ''desperate people do desperate things'' doesn't fall far from humanity.
