Chapter 229: Everest France, my first love

''I did, but, you see, the others are going to come. I don't want them to distract us'' Jayden said and pulled a chair for her to sit. ''Sit down first and have some water'' he poured a glass of water for her to drink and nervously, the glass slipped from his hands and poured on her top which was white. His eyes went blank when he saw her blue bra beneath the white top.

Ever followed his gaze and saw where he was looking and flushed. She stood up, the chair fell in the process.

''Ever, that… that was a mistake. I'm sorry'' Jayden tried to explain.

''Oh, I know'' Ever said and picked his cardigan that was on one of the chairs, ''I can use this right?''

''Yes, sure''

''Then, can you turn around. I need to… you know… remove the shirt and dry?'' she stuttered.

''Yes'' Jayden quickly turned his back to her

Ever unbuttoned her shirt quickly and removed it. She put on the cardigan fast and zipped it before picking the shirt to dry on one of the chairs.

''You can turn'' she said as she sat back on her seat.

''Oh'' he turned and saw her in his cardigan. He smiled and they started laughing at their silliness.

''What's so interesting that you two are laughing about?' Jade and the others' voices could be heard as they walked towards them. They each held a bag of something.

''What happened to your top, Ever?'' Amber asked as she took Ever's top to another place to dry, ''is so wet''

''I poured water on myself''

''When did you turn clumsy?'' Jade asked and they laughed.

''I guess my hands are a little tired because of the cooking I did'' she explained and looked at Jayden who had a smile on his faces.

''Okay, we are here, let's begin the celebration'' Channing said and say beside Jade. He opened the bags and they removed the snacks and soft bottle drinks they bought.

''Let's play a game. The loser grants the winner a request'' Jade said excitedly.

''Why do I feel that she is going to ask us for money?'' Amber asked and looked at Ever.

''Hey, did you spend all your allowance already?'' Jayden asked.

''Oh, why, are you going to give me money?''josei

Jayden sighed and removed his wallet, he opened it and brought out a few bills. ''Here", he gave them to her.

''My Lord, may you leave for long and may your wife bear you lots of children for your generosity'' Jade chanted excitedly.

''Ever, we are here to celebrate you. Our parents are already preparing a big one but this is just a small one from us. Off course, Jayden prepared most of it, but we just want you to know that we are proud of you and what you have been able to achieve. This is a toast to Ever''

They lifted their bottles up and cheered to her.

After their celebration, Ever returned to her classroom to pick up her bag since it was time for them to close anyways. When she got to the class, she saw that most of her classmates were already on. As soon as she entered, the class became quiet.

Ever ignored the burning gazes as she took her bag and turned to go and their class representative spoke to her.

''Ever, the class have something to say to you''

''Huh? Did I do something wrong?'' Ever asked as she looked at them.

''No. On behalf of the class, I want to apologise to you. What we did to you wasn't the best and through this competition we have come to realise that everyone is important in the class. Let's be friends from now onwards'' the class rep said and stretched her hand towards Ever. The others moved closer and stood behind the class rep..

''Oh, thank you and I'm sorry for not opening up to you all''

''We are all classmates, right? let bygones be bygones'' Peter said and they all nodded their heads.

''Let's be friends from now onwards'' Ever took the rep's hand and the other crowded around her congratulating her.

After dealing with her classmates, she took her bag and left hurriedly outside to look for Jayden who had promised to wait for her.

That night, while the celebration was going on, Jayden looked towards Ever and gave her a sigh before going out. They didn't get the chance to be alone after arriving from school, their parents occupied them throughout, joining Ever's congratulatory party with their monthly dinner together.

Ever sat beside her father throughout dinner to the time they were now having drinks. She looked around before slowly getting up from her seat and sneaking out.

She sighed and heaved a relief when she was able to finally sneaked out of their quarters. She went to the hall and was suddenly pulled into a corner room where her mother kept all their old stuff in.

''Is me, Jayden'' he said and covered her mouth just as she was about to scream.

''This place is a little dusty, let's go out and take a walk around the villas''

''Okay'' he held her hand and together they went out of the villa.

''I wonder what they will think when they don't see us'' Ever chuckled as they walked away the cluster of villas in the residential area.

''They will probably think we are outside chatting or probably asleep somewhere''

''Right. Then, we don't have to worry about them''

''I was worried I wouldn't be able to see you this close before the day ends'' he turned and held both of her hands and stepped a little closer to her. She blushed and her ears turned red.

''I thought so too. Right, I still haven't told you what I wanted to say earlier on. You know… before the whole water incident?''

''Yes, the water incident. I hope you know it was a mistake, right? I didn't mean to…''

''I know''

''Let's sit over there'' he pointed at a small bleacher at a distance away from the volleyball court in the residence.

''This place is so quiet at night'' they sat down with a little space between them. they both looked nervous.

''Have you ever thought about how you want to be proposed too?'' Jayden asked suddenly and Ever turned to look at him.

''Huh? Pro..propose? I haven't thought about it'' she answered shyly with a lowered gaze. ''what about you?''

''It is usually the woman who decides how she wants it to be. I heard from my father that, he and my mother had shotgun marriage due to some reasons, but he said that your parents had one of the most beautiful proposal parties. have you seen pictures of it?''

''I did. It was at my maternal grandpa's place, but, compare to that, I think I like a simple one that can still make my heart flutter''

''Like this…?'' he asked and moved closer to her. he placed his hands on both of her shoulders and pulled her closer and kissed her slightly.

''You…'' she was surprised he kissed her.

''Ever, I like you too''

''Huh?''

''Wasn't that what you planned to tell me after you won the competition?''

''Oh, no. How did you know about that?'' she blushed and turned her face away.

''I can read you and know whatever you are thinking, Ever. You have been wanting to tell me that for some time now, right?'' he teased her.

''This isn't fair at all. I didn't even tell you yet''

''I wanted to be the first to say it. Everest France, congratulations. You are my first love''.

''First love. That sounds nice''

''So, we are now dating right?'' Jayden held her hand ':I don't have to be cautious when I hold your hand anymore, because you are my girlfriend''

''I didn't accept you as my boyfriend yet''

''It's too late. I am already yours, since the first day I saw you at the school park''

A distance away from where they sat, Aaron and Kash looked at each other.

''Did you also saw what just happened?'' Kash asked pointing at Ever and Jayden.

''I did. But, when did they develop feelings for each other?'' Aaron asked and Kash took a step forward ready to go and separate them. ''Where are you going?'' Aaron pulled him back.

''Your son is taking advantage of my daughter? How dare he kiss her in front of me?''

''Technically they are alone and also, their feelings are mutual. What do you mean he took advantage of her? Is my son such an unfilially person that you have to be so guarded against?''

''Are you suggesting we turn blind eyes to what just happened?''

''If not, what are you going to do? Don't you think it's much safer for Ever to love a trustworthy kid like my son than fall for someone you wouldn't even know anything about? They are still young, I trust Jayden. He won't cross the line with Ever''

''Still, you better keep your eyes on your son. If he gets my daughter pregnant, I will kill him''

''If she gets pregnant, they will just get married. What is hard about that. stop been a third wheel and let's get back inside'' Aaron said pulling Kash back into the villa.
