“Is he always surrounded by beautiful women? Does he have a different woman in his arms every night?”

“Vicky, it’s not as bad as you think.”

“No, you don’t have to say anything for me to know how it is. ” Vicky looked up at Harvey. “Have you forgotten that I’ve regained my memory? I know better than you what he was like before.”

’He never changed. It was me who changed all along,’ thought Vicky.

It was just as Tyler said, compared to when they first got married and all the time they had been married up to now, he had done a lot for her.

She was the one who started to have hope for him, and she was also the one that started to ask him for more than he was prepared to give. She thought that he loved her, and why would she not when he showed her nothing but care and tenderness lately?

It was only at that moment she realized just how wrong she was to think that, but even so, she could not believe that he would bring up divorce. The last time he brought up the matter of d ivorce with her was when he mistakenly thought she was the one who pushed him into a relationship with Gloria.

However, he never once mentioned the word ‘divorce’ again after all the misunderstanding had cleared up. He even got his revenge by playing a vicious trick on her.

“Is it because you men like the challenge of a hunt and will become bored once you get the woman?” She fixed her gaze on Harvey in a bid to get an answer from his expression.

“Take you and Gloria for example. All through these years, you’ll drop everything to help her because she never accepted you, and that made you want to try again and again.”

“Vicky… Gloria and I… It’s not what you think.”

“You’re right. That’s just one of the many things that I get wrong.”

Harvey did not know how to console her, so he tried to change the topic, “Vicky, it’s getting late. Let me give you a ride home.”

Tyler was true to his words. He did not come home that night.

There was no light in the mansion when Vicky arrived home. Even though she was prepared to come home to an empty house, she could not help but feel disappointed. She did not know where she went wrong, so she tried to think back to what she could have possibly done to upset Tyler.

Otherwise, what else would explain his sudden change in attitude toward her?

Suddenly, Vicky remembered something. ‘Is it really that sudden? No… Harvey said he found out what Tyler has been doing less than a month ago, and that coincides with the time I was busy with work.’

During that period, he went from picking her up from work every day to not coming home for dinner every night. Then, it ended up with him not coming home for three to five days in a row.

Tyler’s attitude did change toward her, but it was not by much. Although he was not as clingy as before, he was also not as cold as he was at the start of their marriage. At the very least, he would always pick up her call when he was not in the middle of something, and if he was, he would always reply her as soon as he was free.

He would even call her or text her in advance to let her know if he was not coming home for dinner or coming home to sleep that night.
