Chapter 17 CH: 17
?Vincent's mood was souring, and Nathan could practically feel the tension radiating off of him, but he refused to let it ruin their workout.
"Hey, forget about that jerk," Nathan said, hoping to diffuse the situation.
But Vincent shook his head, clearly not ready to let it go.
"That guy always messes with us. What's his deal?"
"He's just threatened by the Wayne Industry, buddy," Nathan said with a shrug.
Vincent's scowl deepened. "But you don't even manage anything for your family."
"Nah, that's my older siblings. They're tough as nails. That jerk is just too scared to face them directly."
The tension eased a bit, and Nathan saw an opening. "Come on, let's focus on our workout."
Vincent nodded, and they got to work, pushing themselves to their limits. When they finally finished, both of them were panting and drenched in sweat. But Vincent was in a much better condition than Nathan.

"Buddy, here's my card. Use it as much as you like," Nathan said with a grin.
Vincent was taken aback. He had never been one to accept money before, but he couldn't deny the temptation of living the high life for a while.
"Thanks, Nathan," he said, accepting the card without a second thought.
Nathan chuckled. "Don't mention it. I have more money than I know what to do with."
"By the way, something just came up, and I'll have to leave New York for a few weeks. But feel free to make yourself at home while I'm gone."
Vincent's excitement faltered slightly at the news of Nathan's departure, but he tried not to let it show. "Sure thing. Have a safe trip."
With a pat on the back, Nathan left, and he was left alone in the lavish penthouse.
As he spent his days in the gym, he realized that he felt more refreshed than ever before. His muscles didn't seem to need rest, but he found himself constantly hungry. He indulged in meats and carb-rich foods without a care in the world, relishing in the newfound freedom and luxury that Nathan's penthouse had granted him.

One day, as Vincent was eating his 6th plate of steak, he heard a knock on the door. He quickly wiped his mouth and went to answer it, curious about who could be visiting.
To his surprise, it was a very beautiful girl with a charming and innocent smile.
"Hi, I'm Mia," she said, smiling warmly.
Vincent felt a little self-conscious about his disheveled appearance. He just finished eating so he was not properly dressed yet. He was only wearing a white tank top and a black plain basketball shorts.
"I live in the same building. I've seen you around the gym and thought I'd come say hi," she explained.
He felt a sudden surge of nervousness as he looked at her sparkling green eyes and silky auburn hair. "Uh, that's cool. Do you want to come in?"
"Sure , thanks for letting me in " Mia smiled and followed him inside. As they sat down, he couldn't help but feel awkward because of his sudden urges.
"I was just in the middle of my meal. Would you like some food?" He offered
Mia shook her head gently.
"It's fine. I actually came here to ask you something."
He raised an eyebrow, curious. "What is it?"
She took a deep breath and fiddled with her hair, showing that she was quite shy around him.
"I've been training for a marathon, but I'm having a hard time staying motivated. I was wondering if you could train with me and help me stay on track?"
"Why me?" he asked, feeling a little awkward since they weren't close.
"I saw you every day in the gym and watched you run those treadmills with ease, so I thought you could help me," Mia explained, her voice low but there was a hint of admiration from her eyes.
He couldn't help but feel a stirring in his loins every time he looked at her. Her mere presence seemed to ignite a fire within him that he couldn't explain.
Vincent found himself distracted by her beauty. The way her auburn hair fell in soft waves around her face, the curve of her lips as she spoke, the gentle rise and fall of her chest as she breathed - all of it was driving him wild.
The intensity of his desire for her was consuming, making it hard to focus on anything else.
Fortunately, his thoughts were interrupted when Mia asked him a question.
"Are you okay? You seem a bit distracted."
"I would love to help you, but I'm not a professional athlete or anything." he hurriedly answered while scratching his forehead.
"For real? You have amazing endurance and a well toned body, and you're not even an athlete?" she exclaimed in genuine surprise.
"I'm not lying. I just started working out, to be honest." he scratched his head again . He seemed to be more smooth with the ladies at night time.
"But that's impossible. Look at your body and toned muscles!"Mia couldn't believe it. She was an athlete in her university so she was very observant on this kind of thing.
He felt complicated. He was aware that his body's improvement was something he did not expect. Even Nathan would be shocked if he saw him now.
His body still looked the same when he was wearing normal clothing, but under it, he had well-toned muscles that formed in just a couple of days. It was a good thing that only few people use the gym at the same time so he was able to hide this fact by wearing a workout jacket.
"I was just joking, I have been working out for a long time" Vincent lied, trying to think of a plausible explanation.
He had read an article about people who woke up from a coma and were able to do things they couldn't do before due to a hormonal imbalance. Perhaps the accident he had been in had triggered something similar. Unfortunately, it would be crazy to tell her that.
Mia looked a little surprised but didn't say anything else about it.
"Well, I still think you could help me out. What do you say?"
"Sure, I'd be happy to. When do you want to start?"
Mia's face lit up. "How about tomorrow morning? We could do a light jog to warm up and then work on some drills."
Vincent agreed, feeling a little bit excited . He was now enjoying running for some reason, and the idea of helping a young beautiful charming girl made him more energized.
"Vanessa was sexy and seductive, but Mia was more pure and innocent looking." He thought to himself.
As Mia got up to leave, he couldn't help but feel a little excited about the possibilities of what their training sessions could lead to.
