Chapter 2919 Feast Of Azenrith
Chapter 2919 Feast Of Azenrith
BANNNG BANNNG BANNNG
765, 766, 767… the pillars kept crashing against my shields, doing something else under the guise of the attack, but it was fine because the fight had become interesting.
When I saw the pillars at first, I thought it was going to be another defensive fight, but the Kraf had done something that made this fight interesting, and now, I am waiting for it to reveal what it is going to do with it placing hundreds of seals on my shields.
They are dangerous without, a doubt, all right that I wanted to wipe them away, but I resisted the urge despite doing that would be a wise and safe thing to do.
I wanted to see what it could do, as harnessing is not the similarity it shares with me. Some of its abilities are similar to mine, and I would like to observe, not only for inspiration but also for knowledge.
Its method always been secretive; it would be great if I had come to know about some. It would help me and others tremendously in the battles.
Finally, the wooden pillars stopped hitting my shields; I do not think it is because it gave up seeing the attack was not working, but because the marks had reached the required number of 888.
"Told you, your little attacks wouldn't be able to do anything against me," I said mockingly; to which it smiled back; "Who said they did not?" It asked back, and the powerful aura blasted off its body again; this time slightly more powerful than before, but it was not what I was looking at.
I am looking at the eight hundred and eighty-eight seals that appeared over my shields and lighted up.
"The attack earlier was just camouflage for the real attack, and you, like everybody else, were not able to discover them," it said mockingly, and its aura blazed, forming a bloodline phantom behind it.
The phantom is different from all the other bloodline phantoms I have seen so far; the regal is sitting inside the halo tree while the tree grows around it.
The tree is verdant, bubbling with life force, but for some reason, I could not understand; I felt the tree was wrong.
It remained behind its back for more than a second for some reason; usually, the phantom only appeared for a fraction of a second before it disappeared back into the body, but this one had remained for one and a half seconds, and when it merged back into its body, a change occurred.
Another armor began to appear on my body, made of brown and green branches and spread across its body and radiating the same wrongness its bloodline phantom had projected, but at a much minor level.
"Now, you shall be consumed, Zaar," it said, and its voice had a strange hollowness to it that wasn't before.
I did not have much time to think about what was happening as I saw the domain covering it; it materialized in an image of the forest. The forest looked like a common forest with verdant trees, soil, and everything else. Aside from the wrongness, the only strange thing I could find in the forest was a large number of dried trees.
Around 40% of the trees that materialized in this domain are dead, and there
"Feast of Azenrith!" It said with that strange hollowness in voice.
Rustle Rustle Rustle
Its voice hadn't even faded when a rustling sound rang out, and branches began to come out of the armor that had appeared on the body of the Grimm.
The Grimm's armor is not the only place where the branches come out; they also started to come out from the eight hundred eighty-eight seals.
They came out all of sudden and began to spread across the sphere of protection my shields had made.
At first, they tried to pierce inside through the gaps between my shields, but when they could not, they began to around, wrapping around each other, till they had fully enveloped me that I could not see what was happening. It is not just my eyes that could pierce through the branches enveloping my shields, but also my soul sense.
The branches have a very powerful anti-soul sense mechanism. They would absorb it, the soul sense around; it did not matter whether the soul sense touched them are not; they would absorb it as long as it was within their range.
Still, it would be gross negligence on its part; if it thinks, I wouldn't be able to see what is happening with its blockage; I have ways that it could not think of.
A moment later, the five-meter-diameter field of rule-bending soul sense began to expand, and soon, it spread out of the shields and touched the thick branches covering my shields, and there was not the slightest reaction from them; my soul sense passed through as if there was no blockade, and soon it was out.
Hun!
A second later, the whole domain got covered under my soul sense, and I could see what was happening, and it kind of surprised me.
I saw the branches from the sphere and from the Goatman connecting to each other, which was not surprising when I saw the branches coming out of both of them. What surprised us was that merged branches pulled the Kraf close to the sphere, and now, it connected to it, which branches formed another layer of a sphere around it.
'It seemed like escaping now would be the right choice,' I said to myself; I wanted to use my escaping move; it came with damage, but I could recover with enough rest.
I made up my mind, but when I tried to escape, I found myself frozen.
It is not Grimms doing, but my own; I wanted to stay; the Goatman had used a unique method beyond what I imagined, and I wanted to see what it could do, despite knowing it might take my life; I wanted to stay.
My heart won in the end, and I decided to stay.
This method had never been used before, and I recorded everything I saw. It is not Grimms who is revealing hidden moves, but everyone, from Grimms to humans; there are some moves that I haven't revealed yet. I am sure many people would be surprised when I reveal those.
It is not a time yet, but soon I will be; till then, I should experience the moves of my enemies.
A minute had passed finally, and a huge sphere of branches had been created, with Kraf and me inside them; now, I wanted to see what it could do.
Hun!
I was just thinking that when something surprising happened, the sphere of branches began to fall as if it was a ball that had lost all its energy and was now being pulled down by gravity.
The strange thing is, I am not feeling any of that; if I did not have soul sense showing me everything, I would have thought I was still floating in the sky.
Now, I am even more curious about this move, but also prepared to escape; I could feel the danger increasing as we got closer to the ground.
So, the moment I sensed a true danger to my life, I was going to escape, no matter the price I had to pay.
