Chapter 4236 Stone Tablet
I woke up from my hour of nap in the afternoon.
I only do that when I am exhausted, and I was before taking a nap. I needed that.
I didn't immediately enter my core. Instead, I got up and sat down on the chair beside the huge wall and enjoyed the view in front of me.
A few minutes later, a cut of steaming tea appeared in my hand.
The tea is made by the Prime grade tea leaves. I had grown a few of them. It has medicinal value, but I grew it for the pleasure.
The taste of it is light, but the energy is thick. Though not intense.
They're like a taste of tea. Light despite the thickness of it.
I drink it every day and am already receiving some effects. However, some others would have provided me with much better benefits.
As I had said, I am not drinking it for the benefits but for the taste.
Soon, the cup emptied, and I wanted to drink another cup, but I controlled myself.
The tea is only pleasurable when drunk in controlled amounts.
I stayed by the wall for a few minutes before laying on the couch and closing my eyes. Hun!
Hours passed by when suddenly, I opened my eyes and sensed the soul's sense touching the formation.
'Carter, I said.
'I need your help,' he replied.
'Is it urgent?' I asked. 'No,' he replied after a moment of silence.
"Then I will come tomorrow afternoon, I said and cut the call. It is important to set the boundaries. If I am a pushover, they will bury me at work.
There are a lot of things they could do for me with my expertise in the runes but since the beginning.
I had set the limits and implied the kind of work I would do for them.
With that, I returned to my core, but I didn't immediately enter the library. Instead, I walked around.
I am a little tired from work and want to rest a little.
It had been over a year since I returned, killing Ogmarazi. Since then, a lot of things have changed because of the change it has brought.
The first one is that all the bees had turned into Prime.
They are now producing Prime Level honey. It has also brough changes to the give as well.
They have become crystalline.
It took years for it to happen, but it did, and they looked amazing, like the colorful gem-like fruits on the massive tree.
Speaking of fruit, I still have yet to eat it. It is still on the tree. The tests of the honey made from its nectar had been inconclusive.
Which rarely happens.
I have collected enough data and have enough mastery of things that I could at least get out of a hint of what is happening, but here, I couldn't.
I have been thinking about trying that honey to get the hint, but seeing how little amount of it I have.
I have been hesitating.
Though, I cannot hesitate for long. I have to consume it to know what the fruit is. It's better that I do it soon because I might need to eat it when I am in danger.
I pushed that thought and looked at the hives. There are six of them.
It's been quite a long, and now and then, I think about expanding them but pushing away that thought.
There are large amounts of trees, and they produce large amounts of nectar, but not every day. These are no common trees, they are rare magical trees, which means they grow slowly.
So is nectar inside them.
The bees are smart. They never take too much nectar. They only take what the trees can safely give.
I turned my eyes away and looked at Mama Bear.
It's been a long time, and it's still sleeping. However, looking at the condition of its body, it will wake up soon, and it won't be a Sky Sovereign.
I have spent more resources than I should have on it. Including a lot of Prime honey, but they are the only companions I have.
So, I spent them on it, and I didn't regret it, especially because of the data it provided me.
I am working on the breakthrough formation and would have really liked to have the data of one breaking through into the Prime, but they are Primes.
They are extremely rare and with my current identity. It is unlikely that I would see the Primes breaking through.
So, I will need to be satisfied with data from monsters.
I had collected the data from the bees, but their breakthrough worked a different way.
It couldn't even be called a breakthrough.
The bears break through, on the other hand. A lot more useful.
A few minutes later, I went inside my core and worked until late at night.
Soon, the next day came, and I worked till it was afternoon and flew toward the central.
"So, what do you want my help with?" I asked as Carter, and I reached the familiar room. It is where I have worked tens of times.
"This," he replied, motioning toward the blue stone table, which is covered in the runes. They look stable at a single glance, but as one kept looking, one would find them shifting.
I arched a brow at him.
"It has a method inside it," he replied, and I kept looking. "A likely great method," he added.
"It looks very difficult," I said, with my expression serious. "It is. I had been trying for the past few months but was unable to break the formation, no matter the method, I try," he replied.
"I will try, but this seemed like something that won't be cracked in a day or two," I said. "It's fine, even if you take months. The only thing that matters is that you crack it and bring the method out," he replied.
"I will try," I said.
I am quite excited. The formation looked difficult; it would be fun to solve it.
