Chapter 4237 Pakalim Caverns I
'This should go here, I said as I moved twenty-two runes together.
Immediately, the small part of the block lit up.
Seeing that, a smile appeared on my face. I had been working on it since the morning, and I finally succeeded.
It is my fifth time in three weeks in this room working on the stone block. The formation is more difficult than I had realized at first glance.
Which didn't disappoint me. Instead, it had excited even further.
I am always in search of such challenges. It helped me polish my skills like this one is doing.
It is evening, and I am thinking of leaving, but I want to study another for some time. Click!
I was about to do that when suddenly the door clicked open, and Carter walked in. He looked excited. Since we had come back from the realm, I had not seen him this excited. Something good must have happened.
I didn't ask. I simply looked at him with an arched brow.
"There is some news about Micheal Zaar. They have found traces of him," he informed, and I barely reacted.
"Carter, I am telling you as a friend. You stop reacting to every news of him. You will drive yourself mad like my ancestor did," I said to him, as it's not the first time they have found my traces.
They did it three times, and that is on this continent. More traces have been found on other continents.
Carter had gone to two of the three places.
"No, this time, they have found the traces of the forbidden power," he stated, and surprise appeared in my eyes. A genuine surprise, which I didn't hide.
A moment later, my expression turned serious.
"Where?" I asked. "Pakalim Caverns," he replied, and my expressions turned even more serious.
That place is dangerous. It had killed countless Primes across the thousands of years. Pakalim Caves and Caverns are used to the realm that merged into the world. It is a piece of organization or cult, depending on your persuasion.
It is filled with dense energy, and storms come there that wipe the Prime away.
Still, people go there even after tens of thousands of years. That place hadn't been fully explored. It is filled with treasures of cults and plants, and its unique environment grows.
Though, the thing that attracted the most Primes are Law Treasures.
Those formed when the realm merged with the prime world. Now and then, people find them, with the man in front of me being one of them.
"You had gone there before and even found treasure that helped you comprehend the law?" I asked him.
"Yes," he replied somberly with a shudder, he tried to hide.
"Are you going there?" I asked. He nodded after a moment of silence. "I want you to come with me. The two of us will have a better chance," he requested.
"Sure. It had been years since I left the place. It will be a good opportunity to test my power now that I have broken another seal," I said, feeding him with another morsel of information.
"You have broken the seal?" he asked, and, like always, I smiled. Keeping complete agency on information I provide.
I could see the irritation flashing in his eyes. He hid it immediately.
"When are we leaving?" I asked. "Immediately," He replied. I didn't say anything about that and got up.
"Give me a few minutes to wrap up the business," he added. A moment later.
Soon, I was outside. I looked around for a while before going to the garden, not far
away.
There are people around. Sovereigns, Earth Sovereigns, and even one Sky Sovereign. I walked around for a minute before sitting down. Staring at the lake not far away
from me.
"Hello," said a voice.
I turned and saw a violet-skinned woman. She looked to be in her early twenties, beautiful, with a freckled face and two twisting horns on her head.
She is Peak Earth Sovereign and looks confident, but there is deep nervousness hidden behind it.
"Hey," I replied.
"I haven't seen you here. Are you new to the Taurus?" she asked, sitting beside me.
"You could say that," I replied and cast a faint glance at another woman hiding stealthily not far away from her.
I know what is happening, and it couldn't make me laugh. The girl is beautiful, but I have no interest in her. There is only one woman I love.
"So, would you mind going on a date with me?" she asked directly.
She looks like a shy girl. It took a lot of courage to ask an unknown person for the date.
"My apologies, but I have someone," I replied, and the cheeks of the girls flooded in embarrassment.
"I am so sorry. I didn't want to do this, but my friend hiding there forced me," she apologized.
"She is saying I am too focused on practice and neglecting the joys of life," she added, ratting out her friend. Who revealed herself and walked toward us.
"There is no need to apologize. You are a beautiful woman, you will find someone you deserve," I replied to her and turned to the elf who came beside her.
"You didn't ask him out?" asked the elf and turned to me.
"My friend is beautiful, and she is available. You would be lucky to take her on the
date," she said, turning to me.
"She is, but I already told her. I have someone," I replied.
Her cheeks flooded a little, but she recovered from her embarrassment quickly, unlike
her friend, who was still embarrassed.
A moment later, she sat beside me and her friend.
"I am Serabell, this is Luna," she introduced herself and her friend. "Arys," I replied.
"You seemed to be new to the organization, Arys," she said. "I am here," I replied.
"You must be really good to be admitted this late," she said, looking at me. She is talkative but careful. She didn't use her soul sense to scan me directly.
However, she is using non-invasive ways.
"I am all right," I replied.
"Now, don't be coy. Tell us your leve," she was saying it when she suddenly froze.
