Mr. Kane Got Blacklisted Chapter 1370 [Eleven Jewell]

“Well, maybe you should leave it at home then,” Stella suggested, referring to the engagement ring.

“No! You gave me this engagement ring! I’m not going to just leave it at home,” said Keegan.

Stella paused and said, “So, what do you suggest?”

After considering Carter’s advice, Keegan cleared his throat and proposed, “Since diamond rings are more durable, shall we consider getting a pair of diamond rings?”

“But diamonds are expensive, and they don’t hold value,” said Stella.

Keegan was a little annoyed. “It’s not like I’m planning to sell

them. “

“But what if you don’t get ahold of Vinci Rivera and go bankrupt?” Stella countered.

Keegan’s lips twitched upon hearing that, “Can’t you have more faith in me?”

“I’m just being practical. Sure, we can get a pair of diamond rings if you want. But my income is limited right now, and I can’t afford to buy you the best one,” Stella chuckled.

Aldor, who was listening to the conversation, had expected Stella to reject the idea wholeheartedly. However, when that did not happen, he thought, ‘Since when did Mr. Kane’s status surpass the status of money?’

Meanwhile, Keegan’s heart filled with joy. He coughed lightly and said, “I didn’t ask you to buy the rings. I should be the one who buys them.”

Stella smiled and replied, “You can buy the wedding rings, but I want to be the one who buys the engagement rings. Consider them… a dowry. Once I’ve given them, they can’t be returned.”

Keegan’s mood was soaring at that point. “Alright then. I’ll be waiting,” he pursed his lips and said.

‘Mr. Kane is being overly ambitious about this,’ thought Aldor.

Keegan was in high spirits after ending the call. He glanced at Aldor and remarked, “See. She’s willing to spend money on me.”

Aldor found him to be delusional. ‘Did he not hear she was buying the rings as a dowry? I guess you can’t force someone to recognize a fact they don’t want to.’

Recently, reports of a murder case involving a suitcase had been spread all over the media.

As Hylda was getting out of bed one morning, she noticed the housekeeper tidying up the place while watching the news on TV. Hylda froze and pressed her lips tightly as she stared at the screen.

The police had released an image of the deceased and were actively seeking information from the public. They also mentioned that they were looking into hospital records as the victim had suffered from lung cancer.

Hylda’s hands trembled when she heard that. She dropped the glass she was holding, and it shattered into pieces.

Following that, her face turned pale. She forgot that Walter had come to Rivera for medical treatment. ‘Shit! He must’ve visited a hospital! Once they obtained Walter’s medical history, it would only be a matter of time before they track everything down and find me,’ she thought.

Hylda did not understand how the suitcase was discovered so soon when she had gone to great lengths to dispose of the body. She had sealed the suitcase with an iron chain and sank it to the bottom of the

water. She thought it would have taken at least half a year for anyone to uncover it. By

then, the body would be unrecognizable, and nobody would know who it was. But that was not the case.

The housekeeper was startled by the sound of the glass shattering and quickly came over to clean it up. As she cleaned up the pieces, she commented, “Were you also frightened when you heard the news, Mrs. Jewell? This murderer is ruthless. Not only did they kill someone, but they also dumped the body in the sea. I heard the police might have found the victim’s phone or wallet thanks to the advancement of technology.”
