Chapter 1200 Trojan Horse Virus

“Silas, what nonsense are you talking about? If you're so capable, why don't you go ahead and deal with it now!”

The technicians' mood only worsened, and the sarcasm in their voices grew more pronounced.

Initially, Silas had been attempting to soothe their anxiety, but now, provoked by their negativity, he too became frustrated. “What's your problem? Now that there's an issue with the new energy system, we should face everything together. Why are you all behaving like this? I'm trying to offer reassurance, but you're giving up on yourselves?” he exclaimed, his tone filled with exasperation.

The few technicians who had been venting their frustrations fell silent immediately.

Someone stepped forward to smooth things over. “We're all just upset because we can't deal with the crisis. All right, that's enough. Stop arguing. Let's wait and see what Ms. Berry has to say when she arrives. It would be best if she can solve it, but if she can't... then we can only leave it to fate.”

A palpable sense of despair hung heavily in the meeting room.

Silas couldn't take it any longer. “Maybe... we should call Mr. Nolan and tell him something's happened here. After all, none of you seem to believe in Ms. Berry

“Let me have a look first.” A familiar, composed female voice suddenly echoed from the doorway.

It's Ashlyn!

Silas was overjoyed, his face lighting up as if he had glimpsed a ray of hope.

Behind Ashlyn was Sabrina, and the two of them entered the meeting room together.

Upon seeing her, Silas immediately gave up his seat. “Ms. Berry, here, take a seat.”

While most people in the room were polite and respectful toward Ashlyn, those who had previously expressed their disdain now exhibited expressions of indifference.

Ashlyn, seemingly unperturbed by the onlookers, occupied Silas' seat and directed her attention to the computer screen. “Is there an issue with the new energy system?”

“Yes, please take a look at this. It keeps displaying system crash notifications, even though it was functioning perfectly fine before,” Silas explained hurriedly. “I'll also show you some of the system's code to help you gain a better understanding...”

Before he could finish his sentence, Ashlyn interrupted him, “I know the code. You don't have to do that.”

Seated in front of the computer, she immediately began typing away on the keyboard with her fair and slender fingers, fixing her cool gaze intently on the screen.

Silas was taken aback. She knows the code?

Sabrina was similarly shocked. She has never dealt with the system, yet she knows the code?

Everyone else watched her silently, anticipating the outcome.

After a few minutes, Silas, appearing somewhat anxious, leaned in closer to Ashlyn and inquired in a hushed tone, “Ms. Berry, are you... familiar with new energy?”

“Someone has deliberately implanted a Trojan horse virus, maliciously sabotaging the system,” Ashlyn stated calmly, her hands poised on the computer keyboard as she reclined comfortably in her chair. A cool and aloof aura surrounded her completely.

“How is that even possible? Everything was fine yesterday, and today it's suddenly infected with a Trojan horse virus? It doesn't make sense,” remarked one of the technicians who had previously clashed with Silas.

Silas was immediately incensed when he heard that, and he was about to respond when he observed the woman in front of the computer arch an eyebrow. Her countenance exuded a languid aloofness, and her voice carried a trace of coldness. “The world changes in the blink of an eye. Can you guarantee that every minute and every second, everything stays the same?”

One night had passed, and no one knew things would take a turn. Everything was possible.

The technician's expression soured instantly following Ashlyn's rebuke. “You know nothing about new energy. Do you truly expect us to believe your nonsense?”

Sabrina, as the team leader, exercised her authority with irritation, her striking, cold eyes sweeping over to the man as she bluntly admonished him, “Harold, what are you doing? Ms. Berry may not be well-versed in new energy, but she has expertise in computers and systems. If you believe you can do better, then step up!”

Harold's face instantly turned beet red when Sabrina reprimanded him.
