Chapter 1199 Unexpected Disaster

She's so clairvoyant!

“Just a hunch,” Ashlyn replied, raising an eyebrow. “Stop beating around the bush. What exactly happened?”

A mix of irritation and anxiety abruptly crossed Sabrina's charming face. “It's the program. The primary control program for the new energy appears to have malfunctioned unexpectedly. I don't know why, but it's simply not responding to our commands...”

Ashlyn's beautiful eyes narrowed slightly. “Was everything fine before this?”

“Yes, it was perfectly fine yesterday. We had intended to present it at the public hearing today. Right before we left, we double-checked to ensure everything was intact. But the moment we checked...” Sabrina trailed off, clearly distressed by the situation. She was so anxious that she was almost at the point of breaking down.

She continued, her frustration evident, “We honestly have no clue what's going on. The system was flawless last night, and there were no apparent issues. Today, numerous prominent figures from various countries are expecting us to showcase our new energy system... And now, this happened. If there's a mishap at this crucial moment, it would be a setback to all the hard work put in by everyone in Section Six! Mr. Nolan isn't around, too, so I have no choice but to turn to you. Ms. Berry, can you think of a solution?”

The sudden emergence of this strange and eerie situation right before their departure caught everyone off guard. The technical experts, in particular, were on edge. As the team leader, Sabrina had no alternative but to turn to Ashlyn for help. For reasons she couldn't quite fathom, she found herself inexplicably trusting and relying on Ashlyn.

Ashlyn's composed gaze settled on Sabrina's anxious expression. “Let's go.”

Meanwhile, all the technicians had gathered in the hotel's compact meeting room.

Silas' fingers danced rapidly over the keyboard, his gaze unwaveringly fixed on the computer screen.

The others were equally bustling about at a rapid pace, with no one daring to slack off even in the slightest.

As they observed the data on the computer screen rapidly refreshing, a palpable tension hung in the air, creating a stifling atmosphere.

“What should we do? Silas, it's still not working on my end.”

Silas' expression turned instantly grim, and he shook his head. “It won't work on my end either.”

“Don't tell me that after all the time and effort we've invested in developing the new energy, we're going to face failure? Is our project destined to be stillborn?”

One of the technicians couldn't contain his frustration and tugged at his own hair. “Argh! I can't take it anymore! I've had so little sleep that my hair is falling out, and now the system has crashed!” he exclaimed in exasperation.

“I've been working overtime for so long...”

“Argh! I want to go home! Why is this happening?”

He wasn't the only one having an emotional breakdown. As soon as he spoke up, several others also appeared to be teetering on the brink of collapse.

Seeing how anxious everyone was, Silas couldn't help but stand up and say, “I understand that you're all on edge and feel like you're losing your minds, but I believe... Ms. Berry should be able to resolve

this. Let's give it a bit more time, shall we?”

“Give it a bit more time? Do you think she's God? Is she omnipotent? How could she possibly understand anything about new energy?” a technician roared in frustration.

“She might have some computer knowledge, but she's never dealt with new energy. How could she possibly know how to solve this?” another technician chimed in, echoing the skepticism.

“Exactly! While she might be a computer whiz, the new energy system is our in-house development, our secret weapon... She's an outsider who's never been part of any development understanding. Silas, has your IQ dropped to that of a three-year-old when it comes to matters concerning her?”

Their words were laced with sarcasm and mockery.

The atmosphere in the entire meeting room was extremely unpleasant.

Everyone had placed significant hope in the development of new energy, eager to deliver a resounding blow to those Zaewora scoundrels.

Alas, an unexpected disaster befell them.

If there really was no solution, they were sure Lucas would be the first to face humiliation.

“I believe... we might have been infiltrated by some sort of Trojan horse virus or what,” Silas suggested, slowly regaining composure. “It appears to be something of that nature, so everyone, let's not panic. We may be able to resolve this soon.”
