Chapter 281

“Are you all ready? I’d love to show you around this resort and everything it has to offer.”

It was Connor’s voice.

“Alright, Janie, let’s go.”

“Alright, Jane murmured in response.

Due to the fact that it was January, the trail that led up the mountain had become quite slippery.

So naturally everyone opted for the cable car.

Lila took in the sights from the cable car’s vantage point. She was so excited that her ***was shaped like an “O.”

“Despite all the places I’ve visited, I’ve never seen anything as breathtaking as this. It’s like I’m taking a walk through a gallery of nature’s finest works of art.”

Jane asked calmly. “The Luther Group pruned this place?”

“Yes. Coincidentally, my father knows a Feng Shui master. He travelled around in his youth. He began his study of art while he was in his middle years due to the fact that he was wealthy. As a result, my father requested that he inspect this valley.

“The Luther Group put forth an offer of more than 150 million dollars to bid for this valley. And it wasn’t for nothing, either. The rich of today adhere to Buddhist and Feng Shui beliefs. This valley’s natural splendor and location near Stormton City’s best attractions has given the area great potential as a premier vacation spot.”

“It’s not bad,” Jane said at the sound of Connor’s explanation.

The cable car had finally reached the top of the hill.

Jane and the others got off the cable car. As Connor led the way, they continued walking for some time.

“Wow! Janie, look!”

It seemed as if Lila had seen something. She made a loud exclamation as if she had made a significant discovery.

As Jane peered up, she noticed that the waterfall had frozen about halfway up the mountain, like the head of a dangerous beast poised to leap forth.

Looking down, the fog was thick and ***. It seemed to have no end in sight.

It had the grace of the old poetry that described how the Milky Way fell from the Nine Heavens.

As she stood on a hilltop and took in the spectacular views of the surrounding valleys, there was a sense of renewal and revitalization washed over her, and a surge of energy filled her veins.

After that, Connor brought Lila and Jane to more places to visit.

Soon, the sun set.

Lila was having a lot of fun.

“Connor, I’ll take it th

kept your word this time. This resort is remarkable! It’s clear why this place made the top picks for tourist attractions in the Stormton City. The amount of people that have scheduled visits to play here is

staggering!”

“It’s fine as long as you like it,” Connor chuckled.

Connor was wearing a puffy down coat and a knitted beanie. He presented an air of casualness in both his attire and demeanor.

He returned to the resort with Lila, chatting and laughing.

“Hey, where’s Janie?”

Lila realized that Jane was not with her. She quickly fished out her phone and sent Jane a message. “Janie, where are you?”
