Chapter 456: Drastic changes

It had looked like the treants were about to succumb to their pain and agony, but their vigor was only slowly regaining.

Absorbing the dense mana from the surrounding that was mostly generated by the dying ancient magi trees, their instincts and mindset didn’t allow them to be discouraged.

They had just received the life essence of the trees that had been severely damaged, and they had voluntarily given up the rest of their life force just to save those that could be saved!

Meanwhile, when Shane arrived in the center of the secret realm, nobody seemed to mind him.

Under normal circumstances, and driven by desperation, they would have been enraged, thinking that Shane had caused the mess, but nothing of that happened.

Some treants had seen Shane extinguishing the flames, thus, none of them reacted to see a human amidst them arrive out of nowhere.

The realm continued to shake as if it was experiencing an earthquake, and it was only when every single energy current had been gathered, that something shocking happened.

Never could Shane have imagined that the silver soul world core would react in such a drastic way to destroy the crimson-colored crack.

“That’s definitely something new…” He mumbled while looking at the shocking scenario in front of him.

The entire secret realm had stopped shaking, only for thunderous noises to resound in the surroundings.

At that moment, the dome shattered causing Shane’s eyes to widen in fear. Instinctively, he turned to the Space door that was only a few meters away.

However, before he could even take the first step, the dome reappeared.

Because of that, Shane halted in his tracks, only to look into the sky.

‘The dome has become smaller?’ This was something Shane noticed almost immediately, but it was only the shape that had changed.

In the end, the dome retained its size in three directions, only to have retracted its span completely in the direction where the pulsating, crimson crack had been located.

This caused Shane to squint his eyes, as he approached said direction, driven by his curiosity.

He had heard thunderous noises the moment the dome had disappeared, only to reappear a moment later, and he could think of only one particular situation to have happened.

Thus, only five minutes after he had started to walk, Shane’s eyes widened yet again as he blurted,

“The secret realm cut off a part of its lands, to expel the crimson crack? That’s pure madness!” Shane could only rub his eyes, and question whether the secret realm’s decision had been the only solution to successfully get rid of the crimson crack or not.

In the end, the dome had been destroyed for a short moment, only to be replaced by a new, altered one.

However, it had been extremely dangerous, and Shane wondered how he and the other beings inside the secret realm had survived this.

‘Shouldn’t the secret realm be in an empty void or space? Wouldn’t the fraction of a second we were exposed to be more than enough to kill all of us…?’

Shane was by no means knowledgeable enough to understand how secret realms worked so he could only ponder.

There hadn’t been any clues about this in the information the Creator had given him, and it was impossible for Shane to understand everything that was thrown towards him.

He was already struggling to come to terms with the mass of information in his mind so comprehending what had happened with the secret realm was too much for him to handle.

However, now that everything seemed to be fine, Shane wondered if it was too much to ask the treants if they wanted to come to his soul world.

Scratching the back of his head, he could only ponder about this question, only to decide that he would talk with the old and gigantic treant in order to figure out a solution.

In the end, Shane knew that he wouldn’t like being rejected by them, even if he would have to make compromises so that they would accept his proposal.

He needed the ancient magi trees, and preferably also the treants to make the best out of mankind’s situation.

Nevertheless, it would not only help mankind, or himself but the treants as well.

They would have to enter a new territory, but if everything worked, every single of the remaining magi trees would be transported to his soul world as both the silver soul world core and his would become one entity.

Furthermore, they had planned to purchase a world tree seedling in addition to a few hundred magi tree seedlings.

The former would allow the treants to become stronger, and maybe even to live longer, but that was something Shane couldn’t be sure about.

There were certain pieces of chaotic information in his mind and one of them was about the world tree, what it was capable of and how valuable it truly was!

This was because of Shane’s impatience that stemmed from the fact that the System and Primordial dimensions in addition to the DImension portals would stop working in only 28 days!

As such, he had to give his utmost efforts to make everything work until the last second.

Shane didn’t expect the treants to reject his offer because they wanted to leave the secret realm too, but that was something he could never be sure about.

After the fire spirits had attacked the secret realm, the treants had just begun to realise the dangers of the outside world.

Because of that, their fear might cause them to deny migrating to the Hidden Paradise.

Looking out for the old treant, Shane hoped that he didn’t succumb to the flames, which fortunately didn’t happen.

When the old treant saw him, the mana fluctuations around it showed different emotions at once.

This caused Shane to look at the old treant in confusion only for the mana fluctuations to return to a neutral state once again.

“I have heard about what you have done….I want to thank you on behalf of every ancient magi tree and treant. Without your help, we would have been reduced to ash…”

Without wasting any time, the treant straightforwardly conveyed his heartfelt gratitude.

This was nothing out of the ordinary and Shane decided to do the same. It was always better to be honest, in his opinion, to begin with.

“There is no need to thank me. Unfortunately, I was a little bit late to save the day. As for my reason to come, I have completed my preparations to take over the secret realm and absorb it.

I don’t know whether you and the other treants are willing to leave, but I want to be honest.

In order to protect my own race with the best possible outcome, the world I have within me will devour the secret realm!

As such, I can only propose to you that I will accept every single treant into my world with an extremely high possibility of the ancient magi trees appearing in my world, the Hidden Paradise!”

After hearing him, the old treant fell silent, yet at the same time, its black dot-like buttons, which replaced normal eyes, were staring at Shane.

Some time passed, and it was only when the old treant started to speak that the awkward silence dispersed.

“As you may have figured out, we have never encountered an incident like this before. This will probably cause many treants to hastily want to leave this place…As such, I want to know, how safe the world you were talking about is?

Will we have to face the danger of the hellish fire once again?”
