He kneeled down and picked up the paper to scan through it swiftly. After a moment, the corner of his lips twitched into a playful smile.

Once Eylul came out, she saw him standing in the yard holding a newspaper while smiling weirdly. She did not walk over and instead walked to the side of the car. She also did not urge Kohen and merely waited by the car silently. However, after waiting for a moment, Kohen suddenly walked toward the inside of the house.

She could not help but furrow her brow. Her mouth opened a few times, and she tried to shout for him but still could not bring herself to call for him. Even after being married for so long, she seemed to have never called him by his name once.

Kohen had already walked into the house in significant strides. Eylul could only follow him inside as well.

Gilbert had just finished eating his breakfast and was about to take out the contract he had discussed yesterday to review it so that he could find any improvements that needed to be done. Then, he saw Kohen walk back in again with giant strides.

He leaned back and smiled at Kohen, “What’s up? Thought it through and decided to not go the hospital?”

“Not going anymore,” Kohen also smiled. His smile was dubious.

Gilbert could not help but scrunch his eyebrows. ‘Could this man have a scheme in mind?’

Eylul followed Kohen from behind. Hearing Kohen says that they were not going to the hospital, she unexpectedly gave a sigh of relief. Both of them sat back down at the dining table.

Kohen smiled and spoke to Gilbert, “Actually, I was quite confused. Kisa harmed you in such a way and betrayed you. You do not plan to punish her harshly?”

Gilbert squeezes his brows unhappily. ‘Everything was perfectly fine; why is he bringing up this thing again?’

Pleased to the man’s expression darken, Kohen sneered, “If my woman ever dared to harm me, I wouldn’t be a McCray if I didn’t torture her until she begged for the sweet release of death and deny it from her. Mr. Kooper, your heart is still too soft.”

“My heart has turned too soft?” Gilbert gave a light chuckle and said coldly, “You really think this incident would just be over like that?”

“Oh?” Kohen immediately had his interests caught, “How do you plan to punish your woman?”

Looking at the gleaming expression of the man across him, Gilbert could not help but furrow his eyebrows. He roared at Kohen, annoyed, “What are you doing being so curious? It’s none of your business.”

“You’re right, it doesn’t concern me. I am just a little curious. If Kisa bore your child, would you be willing to punish her?”

Gilbert’s whole body shook, “What did you say?”

Eylul was also slightly shocked, “Mrs. Kooper is pregnant?”

Hearing about Kisa being pregnant, her heart felt a little envious. As a woman, she was afraid that her body had problems and could not bear a child.

After Gilbert overcame his shock, a disdainful cold smile emerged from his face,” Where did you get this information? If I myself did not know about this, how would you know?”

Gilbert proceeded to open the newspaper. His hurried expression made Kohen feel it was hilarious as he looked on. The accompanying picture was Kisa standing at the hospital entrance and surrounded by reporters.

Another picture was her taking medication from the window. The images even had a close-up shot of the medicine. The medicine’s name was a prenatal care medication.

Gilbert was so excited his hands were shaking. Besides his excitement and delight, confusion emerged in his heart as he thought more about it,

‘That day, I saw with my own eyes that Kisa had taken the contraceptive medicine. How could she possibly still be able to bear children? Did the contraceptive not take effect, or is the media reporting indiscriminately? But if she’s not pregnant, why did she go to the counter to take prenatal care medication?’

He could not bear to speculate anymore.
