Chapter 1136 Don’t Be Jealous

Kisa frowned. ‘Who is it this time? Jolina and Peter looked at her with faces full of suspicion. “You guys go ahead. I’ll go get the door,” she chuckled. When she opened the door, her heart trembled. It was not just anyone at the door; it was Gilbert. She had not seen him for two days after their morning fight. However, it felt like she had not seen him for a long, long time. novelbin

The man’s face was pale, and there was no sign of any emotion. “What brings you here?” Kisa asked in a low voice. With that said, she turned around and walked into the house. Gilbert followed her silently.

“Yo, Mr. Kooper, you’re here too?” Hearing Peter’s voice, Gilbert narrowed his eyes instantly and frowned in displeasure. He did not expect her house to be so lively. Fortunately, Jolina was there. Otherwise, Gilbert’s thoughts would be all over the place again, seeing Peter in her house, single and lonely.

As if he was afraid that Gilbert would rob him of his food, Peter quickly bit into each piece of bacon, egg, and toast on his plate. Kisa watched as he did that and was dumbfounded. She did not understand his actions. Jolina, on the other hand, snorted contemptuously.

Gilbert glanced lightly at the plate of food in front of Peter. “Is there any extra? I want the exact same thing as him,” he said.

Kisa was stunned. She shook her head and said, “No, we only have enough for three.”

Gilbert’s face darkened. Peter, however, was glad that no other men got to eat what Jolina had made. Seeing that Gilbert was mad, Jolina hurriedly pushed her plate of bacon and eggs to him and said, “Mr. Kooper, I haven’t touched these yet. You can have it if you’re hungry.”

Peter frowned fiercely. He quickly pushed the plate to him and said, “Mr. Kooper must’ve eaten since you came here so late. But, you should eat it since you’re so skinny!”

As he said that, he looked at Gilbert and said, “A man like you wouldn’t be competing for food with a woman, would you?”

Gilbert leaned back on the chair, glanced at him coldly, and then at two pieces of toast Peter had bit into. – I didn’t know that the second son of the Webb family would be so stingy that he had to guard his toast.

People would think this was the first time you’ve ever had toast,” he snorted.

Peter picked up the toast and took a bite triumphantly, “Don’t be jealous just because you don’t have one.” Kisa felt awkward. She could not figure out what the men were thinking. I can’t believe they’re fighting over some toast. She then gave Gilbert two pieces of toast and said, “Here, you can have mine. I’m not hungry.” But Gilbert gave them back instantly. “You eat it. I don’t want to,” he said.

Jolina glanced at the two of them, feeling a little embarrassed. If I had known this many people would show up, I would have made more food,’ she thought.

Hearing what the man had said, Kisa did not try to refute it and continued to eat breakfast. There was a hint of awkwardness in the air. Jolina hung her head without saying a word, feeling uneasy. Only Peter was feasting like normal. No one spoke for a long time. Kisa could not take it anymore. So, she looked at Peter and said, “Are there any fun things to do in Oceanville?”

“There are tons of interesting things to do and places to go there. The scenery is also pretty amazing,” Peter replied, raising his eyebrows as he looked at her. “Why? Are you planning to go there?”

“Well, I may be going there soon. I hope you can take me in, Mr. Webb.”
