Chapter 1321 Trespassing

“A group of bodyguards in suits appeared out of nowhere and gave me a heart attack before I could see anything inside. All of them were armed, too. If I hadn’t acted fast enough and ran out of there, I wouldn’t be here in front of you two. Ugh. This place is f*cking terrifying!”

Kisa looked at him in surprise. “Really? How many bodyguards were there? Did you see clearly?”

“Ten, at least. All of them looked big and ferocious,” Kelvin said in a deep voice. “What do you think is in there? The security’s so tight. Could the Mullens be hiding some kind of treasure inside?”

“You’re right,” Kisa answered subconsciously.

Kelvin froze. Then, he looked at Kisa curiously. “Really? Mr. Mullen Sr. probably already has everything he could ever want, right? I wonder what kind of treasure would make him take such strict security measures?”

“I don’t know.” Kisa shook her head. “Mr. Mullen Sr. admitted that there’s something precious in there, and he even warned me not to go inside without permission. Otherwise, there’d be consequences.”

“Tsk, tsk… I’m sure that he’s hiding something in there.”

“Right. I think so too.”

As the two of them chatted happily with each other, Gilbert realized that he was once again the unwanted person in that conversation.

His face darkened. Then, he said in a low voice, “Let’s head back.”

Kelvin paused and immediately nodded. “Y–Yes. We should go back now. I’ve got to sleep my fear away.”

He looked at Gilbert and continued, “W–Which direction should we go? I’ve been to the same place thrice before I broke into the prohibited area. Boo–hoo…”

Kisa smiled awkwardly. “You’ve been to Ms. Mullen’s place for three times now, right? Why would you still be lost?”

Kelvin was left speechless.

Then, Gilbert said casually, “It’s nothing surprising. He’s never had a good sense of direction.”

Kisa looked at Kelvin, surprised.

She had no idea that Kelvin’s sense of direction was so poor despite growing up together with him.

“What if he gets lost when he’s on a date with his girlfriend?”

“That’s something Gracie doesn’t like about him. How could a big man like him have no sense of direction? Gracie had to step up and lead the way whenever they got lost,” Gilbert replied, chuckling.

Kelvin’s face darkened.

Kisa laughed without holding back.

Kelvin glared at her irritably and said in a hostile tone, “Stop laughing!”

Gilbert squinted. “What are you going to do about it?”

Kelvin shifted his gaze at him. “I wasn’t talking to you!”

“It’s the same if you were talking to her.”

Both men’s faces darkened, yet they were just arguing over something so small.

Kisa was amused as she shook her head and said to Kelvin, “Fine. I’m not going to make fun of you anymore. After all, it’s nothing embarrassing to have no sense of direction. I’m just like you.”

Gilbert immediately chimed in casually. “You’re different. It’s normal for a woman to have no sense of direction, but not for a man with a healthy brain!”

“What?!” Kelvin glowered at Gilbert while gritting his teeth.

Gilbert slightly squinted and spoke in an intimidating tone. “You’d better stop staring at me!”

Kelvin curled his lips before moving his gaze away unwillingly.

Kisa was speechless. ‘Gilbert is so unbearable. He’s always bullying others like this. Kelvin is always afraid of him. Actually, every kid who used to hang out with him was afraid of him. Except for Jensen.‘

Kisa’s mood took a big turn as soon as she thought about Jensen.

She walked forward and led Kelvin as she asked, “What’s the actual probability of Ms. Mullen’s leg recovering?”

“Don’t worry about it. I’m an all–round genius doctor. I can guarantee at least fifty percent judging by her condition.”

‘All–round…‘

As she thought about that word, a question popped into her head.
