Chapter 1524

Gilbert's eyes were blank and devoid of any emotion, his body rigid and tense as if he was still ensnared in the grip of a terrible memory. Kisa was too scared to even make eye contact with him. Meanwhile, David was puffing away on his cigarette, feeling pretty pleased with himself.

He sneered, "None of you losers will ever find happiness."

"Enough." Madalyn's voice cracked with despair. "I caused all of this. If I hadn't schemed to get rid of you, you wouldn't have broken up with that rotten Emilia. And my son and daughter-in- law wouldn't have gotten into a car crash trying to save her and her unborn child. It's all my fault. Just kill me and spare my grandson.Damon treated Jensen so well, why can't you do the same forGilbert? Just think about how Damon was, come on." David's eyes flickered with a hint of emotion. But suddenly, aloud commotion erupted outside the warehouse, and everyone turned to look at the door. Except for Sara, who had a dark gleam in her eyes. Two ragged figures burst into the room. Kisa's gaze fixed on the intruders, and she saw that they were none other than

Christopher and Carolyn. Both of them had explosives strapped to their bodies, and the guards outside were too scared to even approach them, cowering in fear from a distance.

David narrowed his eyes and asked, "It's you two?"

"David, you filthy rich brat!" Carolyn shouted, glaring at him like she wanted to kill him. Her face was twisted with a wild mix of love and hate. "I loved you so much, I was willing to give up everything for you. How could you treat me like garbage? Emilia was just some cheap piece Christopher got tired of. She didn't deserve to be on your mind for a single second."

Christopher's face was twisted and crazed, and he looked like he was about to snap.

"I've lost everything, are you happy now? That cheap woman was nothing but a dead fish in bed. If you want her so bad, go look for her in hell. Hahaha... hahaha..."

He laughed like a madman, holding a burning torch that could set off the explosives strapped to his body any second.

Despite the deadly threat, David remained unnervingly calm. He acted like he had no fear of death and just took another drag of his cigarette while shooting Christopher and Carolyn a look of utter disdain and disgust.

His eyes narrowed, and they looked like he was staring at garbage.

"You two destroyed her. You're the ones who should die."

David's tone was deceptively steady, but it was clear that his words were full of hate and a desire for revenge. Carolyn and Christopher inched closer, their faces twisted in mad grins.

Kisa was about to drag Gilbert to safety or make a break for it when she realized he had vanished without a trace. Her heart raced with fear as she frantically looked around, but there was no sign of him or Sara anywhere. Madalyn was the only one left, her eyes locked on Carolyn and Christopher as they drew closer.

Kisa quickly spotted a small door closing at the back of the warehouse and caught a glimpse of Sara's figure disappearing through the crack. Kisa frantically yanked Madalyn toward the small door, only to discover it was firmly locked. It had to be Sara who had sealed it shut from the other side.

She realized that Sara must have scouted out the warehouse before since she knew about the small door and even had the key to lock it from the outside. It was clear that Sara was behind the sudden appearance of Carolyn and Christopher. The only way out was through the main entrance.

Kisa's eyes darted toward the main entrance.
