Chapter 1008 I Miss The Other Her from Before

The woman had not taken breakfast for a good while, so Gilbert stuffed it into her hand before starting the car without saying anything else.

‘Why did he turn off my alarm?’

It was naturally to allow her to sleep better.

She would never know that she was still snoring away when her alarm rang in the

morning.

‘She must be really tired if she’s snoring like that.’

‘And, she didn’t even wake up after her alarm rang.’

Seeing that she was so exhausted, he turned off her alarm without asking.

In fact, seeing her so exhausted, he almost did not want her to go to the set to film. It

was not like he could not afford to feed her.

But, he also knew that she would definitely refuse him if he asked her to quit acting and become Mrs. Kooper to enjoy the luxuries of life he could offer her with peace of

mind.

He suddenly missed the other her from before so much.

She was obedient and would often humor him, unlike now, where she was completely heartless. He could not get a good grasp of her and felt wholly insecure.

Thinking of this, the man’s face tensed up.

Kisa held the bag in her hand, and it was still hot.

He looked at the man’s tensed face and whispered, “What’s… wrong?”

“I turned off your alarm without asking. It’s my fault,” The man suddenly said.

Kisa was taken aback, and now it was her turn to feel bad for blaming him.

She pursed her lips and said, “Ah, forget it. I’m already late. Saying all these now is pointless.”

As she said that, she took out a piece of sandwich and bit into it.

The delicious sandwich immediately improved her mood.

Recalling Mrs. Kooper Sr.’s attitude earlier, Kisa turned around and deliberately asked him, “Oh, right. Gilbert, let’s not ask Grandma for the keys, so she wouldn’t get angry.

She’s right. It’s just a normal guest room. Maybe it’s true that Mr. Miller locked it up by accident, and there’s nothing there.”

“Hurry up and eat. I know what to do,” The man snorted softly.

Kisa then smiled. It was now certain that this man would pry open that door behind Mrs. Kooper Sr.’s back.

“Kisa!”

Upon arriving at the set, Lea immediately ran toward Kisa. “Come on, let’s get changed. The director is already impatiently waiting, and Sharon is taking the opportunity to talk ill about you without even realizing that she herself is always late.”

Kisa subconsciously looked to the center of the set and saw Sharon staring at her with a sneer on her face, as if she was waiting to see her humiliated at any moment

now.

Kisa was not in the mood to fight with her right now.

All of her focus now was to seek revenge on Gilbert and find out about her mother and David Kooper all those years back.

As long as that bitch Sharon did not annoy her, she would not bother to give her any

attention.

However, upon seeing Sharon, she could not help but recall how Carolyn and Adrien flirted with each other in the club.

Even now, she could not help but have goosebumps, and her heart felt a chill.

She did not know if that father of hers actually knew about it.

She actually wanted to know how that father of hers would react if he learned about what was going on between Carolyn and Adrien.

When she arrived at the dressing room, Lea had already helped her prepare her costume, so she just needed to change into it.

As the stylist fixed her hair, she remembered that she still had two pieces of sandwiches that she had not eaten yet. So, she took them out and ate them as the stylist did her hair.

Just as she took a second bite of the sandwich, Lea suddenly gagged and hurriedly

ran outside.

Kisa looked at her in surprise, only to see her squatting and retching by the flower bed.
