Chapter 1275 That Person Does Not Exist

“Aren't you going to leave?!" Gilbert clenched his fists as he turned around and walked out of the yard. Kisa stroked Vivian's back and whispered, "It's okay. The person from the Kooper family has left. It's okay. It's all over now...”

“Arthur, pour her a cup of tea,” she said to Arthur. He quickly handed over the cup of tea, and Kisa let Vivian have a few sips. She gradually calmed down after that.

Adrien was standing at the side. Kisa glanced at him and asked, "Are you here to see Ms. Mullen today too, Uncle Tanner?"

"Well, Mr. Mullen Sr. and I are good friends. Ms. Mullen mistook me for that person, so Mrs. Mullen Sr. asked me to come and comfort her.

"That person I talked about doesn't exist," Adrien chuckled lightly.

"What does that mean?" Vivian frowned fiercely and asked. "Mr. Mullen Sr. has been troubled by your affairs for the past few years, so I know about them too. So, as a birthday present to him, I decided to lie to cheer you up. I made everything up so that you could get back on your feet.”

"Ha... Ha-ha..." Vivian laughed stiffly, as her face was full of tears. She mocked herself and said, "You guys worked so hard just to cheer me up."

"You should think more about your parents. You should try to live a better life fortneir sake.”

"Get out! I don't need you to worry about my problems!" Vivian immediately yelled in repulsion. The next second, she stared into Adrien’s eyes again with grief and sorrow plastered across her face. Why did you lie to me, David..? Why did you have to do this to me..?"

Kisa's heart sank. ‘Does she think he is David again?"

“I'm afraid you have the wrong person, Ms. Mullen," Adrien said in a light tone.

Vivian stared at him for a long time, then lowered her head and wiped her tears sadly. "I know... You're not him, but your eyes and your voice... It's so similar to his."

Kisa turned to look at Vivian and said, "There are many people who look or sound alike in this world. He really isn't David; he's my Uncle Tanner."

‘Adrien would probably let his guard down after hearing me say that. There must be a reason why he came back here with a different identity. I can't let him know that I'm onto him.’

Adrien stayed in the yard for a while before leaving. When he left, Vivian stared at his back obsessively and murmured, "They really are similar.Everything about him is precisely the same, except for his face. But, I know that's not him. He's a ruthless man. Why would he ever come here and see me?"
