Chapter 1367 You’re Using Me as a Lab Rat?

“Really? That would be great.”

Since she was sure that Adrien could not be David, she did not keep testing him. “Uncle Adrien, go check on Vivian. I’m going back now.”

Adrien nodded. “If you have any problems, talk to me. Don’t act rashly next time. Okay?” He was talking about her attempt to kill Gilbert.

Kisa nodded vigorously; her eyes determined. “I know, Uncle Adrien.”

“Go now and take care of yourself.”

Kisa nodded and turned to leave the garden. Adrien watched her go before turning his gaze.

Seeing Kisa leave without saying telling him, Kelvin hurried after her. “Kisa! Kisa!” He trotted to catch up with her. “Didn’t you just say that you wanted me to wait for you and we go back together, and that you had something to tell me?”

Kisa did not respond but hurried toward the main building. Kelvin looked at her serious face and spontaneously quickened his pace to catch up.

After passing the restricted zone, the main building would be visible up ahead. Kisa looked around to make sure that no one was around before she whispered to Kelvin, “I switched my teacup with yours at Vivian’s place just now. So, the tea you finished drinking was originally mine.”

Kelvin blinked. “So?”

“I suspect my recent nightmares have something to do with the tea I have been having at Vivian’s place. So, if you have a nightmare tonight, let me know, as that will be proof that the tea is the cause and that! am the only one they want to harm.”

Kelvin stared at her in stupefaction. It took him a few seconds to digest what she said. ‘Sh*t!’ He cursed in his mind and then said with a huff, “You’re using me as a lab rat?”

“I can’t help it. After all, we are the only ones who often visit Vivian. There’s no one better than you. Besides, the Mullen residence is riddled with danger, and you’re the only one I trust.”

Kelvin was still angry when he heard the first half of the sentence. But he felt much better upon hearing the second half, as it felt good to be trusted. “Forget it. I’d like to know what’s really going on, anyway. But I’ve got to tell Gilbert about this to let him know what a sacrifice I’ve made for you two.”

Kisa’s expression stiffened at the mention of Gilbert, but she said nothing. After coming back from Vivian’s place, she went straight to her room. Gilbert was away, and his laptop was still on the coffee table by the window. She stared at it for a while before she went to bed.

Gilbert did not come back for the rest of the day, during which Kelvin had come looking for him twice. He also called Gilbert’s phone and then Davian’s, but both of them did not answer, so Kelvin was worried.

Kisa sat by the window, her face calm and indifferent.

Kelvin glanced at her and said glumly, “Aren’t you worried?”

Kisa looked out the window at the darkening sky. “No one can hurt him. So why worry? Besides, worrying only hurts yourself.”

Kelvin rolled his eyes. “What a heartless woman.” He then took a closer look at the apathetic look on her face. “By the way, did you and Gilbert have a fight? You weren’t like this yesterday.”

“No.” Kisa smiled at him. “It is still the same old stories, Thinking about them spoils the mood.”

“Kisa, actually…”
