Chapter 14: Beetle's Chitin Dagger-
[HP: 2.1/5.0]
The constant blood needles hit their mark, one by one, until finally a last attack served through the beetle's neck, ending its life for good.
[Mutant black beetles have been killed; consume their soul essence to obtain experience points.]
Ben didn't waste a single more second and instantly flew towards the fallen black beetle before using his 'Soul Drain Skill'.

[Level: 7; Exp: 49/70]
[Soul essence obtained. Type: Weapon]
[Congratulations! You have obtained Low Tier Soul Weapon, Beetle's Chitin Dagger. [Special property: Fire Imbue.]
A surge of satisfaction washed over Ben as he observed the new addition to his arsenal. The Beetle's Chitin Dagger shimmered in a dark hue, its blade made from the hardened chitin of the defeated beetle. The only problem was, how was he going to equip this weapon?
[Soul weapons are, most of the time, designed according to the host's needs and body structure. You shouldn't worry much about it, host; just give it a try.]
Taking the system's advice to heart, Ben summoned the Beetle's Chitin Dagger from his inventory. As he called upon the dagger, a mysterious black liquid substance materialised out of thin air. It flowed towards his foremost right leg, seamlessly merging with the blue ant armour that adorned his limb.
To his astonishment, the black substance extended from his leg, transforming into a 2cm long, sharp blade that perfectly matched his body's proportions. The blade had a sleek black and yellowish hue, bearing a resemblance to a small dagger. Ben swung his legs experimentally, testing the weight distribution and length, only to find them flawlessly suited to his movements.
Examining the blade more closely, Ben discovered its remarkable properties. The chitin material offered unmatched durability and resistance, making it a formidable weapon against any foe. Furthermore, the dagger possessed a unique passive ability called "Fire Imbue."
Filled with anticipation, Ben decided to test the cutting prowess of the Beetle's Chitin Dagger on nearby tree trunks. With ease, the blade sliced through the thick bark as if it were butter, leaving behind clean and precise cuts. The Fire Imbue skill added an extra edge, causing the blade to heat up upon contact with enemies. It had the potential to inflict burns and amplify the damage dealt.
"This is precisely what I needed!" Ben exclaimed, his excitement fueling his adrenaline. Yet he couldn't ignore the fact that his HP was still insufficient for another battle. After careful consideration, he made the decision to retreat to the rabbit he had encountered earlier, intending to restore his HP before resuming his hunt.
However, when he arrived at the spot where he had slain the 'Wild Raboot,' all that remained were a few scattered bones. Ben clenched his teeth in frustration, realising he couldn't rely on an endless supply of blood from the rabbits.
Determined to replenish his HP, Ben made his way back to the waggon where he had found solace before. Utilising his blood tracing skill, he swiftly located the campfire and the two individuals engrossed in conversation nearby. As he approached, Ben's acute senses allowed him to eavesdrop on snippets of their dialogue.
"?? ????? ???????? ???? ???? ?? ???, ??????? ?? ???? ?? ?????" One of them asked
"?? ??? ?????? ??? ?????, ???? ???? ??? ?? ?? ???? ?? ???? ???? ???? ??????????," the other replied.
Confusion washed over Ben as he scratched his head, unable to comprehend their language. He turned to the system for answers: "Hey system? Do you have any idea what they are talking about? Is this because of my mosquito ears? Is it really some other language?" Ben asked, scratching his head.
[Host, there is nothing wrong with your ears, but in fact they are really talking in a different language than yours.]
Realisation dawned on Ben, and he muttered to himself in panic, "Why didn't I consider this possibility? How can I help the elves if I can't communicate with them? I can't just buzz my plans into their ears!"
[Calm down, host; the system already has plans for your survival in this world. [All you need to do is keep evolving, and you will get everything required at some point in time.]
"Sigh! If you say so," Ben said, letting out a long breath before he flew inside the waggon to consume some blood and replenish his HP.

As Ben consumed the blood inside the waggon, he felt a surge of rejuvenation flowing through his veins. His HP gradually restored itself, reaching its maximum capacity once again. Feeling revitalised, he emerged from the waggon, ready to face some more low tier beasts to improve his level.
It was already around midnight, and Ben didn't have very much time left as he assumed he had to get back into the waggon before dawn. But this time, Lady Luck was on his side; as soon as Ben flew out of the waggon, something interesting caught his attention that he normally would ignore thanks to his human instincts.
"Wait, Firefly's! Hey system, what level are these creatures? Will I be able to kill them?" Ben asked, looking at the shiny yellow fireflies flying around the tree, decorating them like a natural disco light. Normally, this sight is something to behold, but for Ben, he was too serious right now to spend his time sight seeing.
[Host, mutant fireflies are extremely fragile low tier beasts. But once they get attacked, their bodies will cause a miniature explosion before ending their lives. Although the explosion is quite insignificant for humans, for you it might lead to a critical situation.
"I see. What is the time gap it takes for them to self destruct after the attack?" Ben asked in a serious tone.
It would normally take them a second or two before they could react.
"That's more than enough!" Ben said in excitement, adrenaline rushing inside his veins as he launched towards the group of fireflies at full speed, equipping a beetle dagger and preparing for an attack.
With Ben's enhanced agility and reaction time, it took barely a second or two for him to fly about the top of the tree, marking his aim at the nearest firefly. He instantly took a sharp turn and launched horizontally towards the firefly at full speed. The firefly, detecting a killing intent, instantly turned to its side to look at the enemy, but before the firefly could even have a look at his adversary, Ben's dagger shaped leg had already passed through its waist, cutting it in half.
"Boom!" A small explosion sounded behind Ben, who had already flown a few metres away from his prey, killing it.

ANSWERS TO SOME COMMON QUESTIONS-
1. Why didn't Ben consume the blood of a mutant spider or black beetle?
Ans? Because they are insects, their blood is poisonous.
2. Why didn't Ben get more stat points when he consumed the elves blood again?
Ans? Ben can only get 0.1 stat points and +5 exp by drinking blood from one source. To get more stat points, he needs to consume the blood of a different living being.
