Chapter 189 Owen
Chapter 189 Owen
"Girl, don't do anything weird..." Arthur reprimanded her.
"What's wrong?" Carla didn't care about his words.
"Arthur, it seems like we've bathed together in the past, why can't we now?"
'Wait, what the hell is bathing together?' Arthur didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Showering in his bathroom is one thing, but showering with him is definitely something too much.
"Arthur!" Carla called his name, showing a pushy expression.
"What the hell are you afraid of? If you can't stand it, just do it," she said.
"Look, we've even cuddled..." Her hands on his chest suddenly moved more wildly, tracing his body.
"Someone's coming," Arthur replied with a serious face.
Instantly, Carla became panicked. She got off Arthur's body in a hurry.
Her eyes then looked at the door.
Arthur laughed as he saw her reaction, he said, "not there!"
After that, he stood up, walking towards the window. What he meant by someone coming was that a car had entered the yard.
Carla felt so fooled that her face turned red, but right now she was curious about who was coming.
From the window, Arthur saw a black luxury car. In the driver's seat, he was surprised to see Logan, the deputy congressman who tried to bribe his aunt earlier.
Besides him, there was a middle-aged man. He was well-groomed, wearing a suit and tie. His hair was jet-black while his eyes were a piercing blue.
Although he was just an ordinary human, but looking at him would give the sensation of looking at a being different from ordinary humans. This was undoubtedly due to his noble identity and something that came about because of the many honorable people who paid homage to him.
Arthur guessed he was from Armstrong.
"Who are they?" Carla couldn't help but ask.
It's not like there were never any guests in their house, but not this late, of course.
"Go back to your room and have a shower if you want to know," Arthur replied, patting her slim waist.
In this situation, Carla really had no other choice. She hurriedly left.
Arthur then went to his bathroom, and showered quite quickly.
When he finished bathing, he heard the sound of a bell echoing.
Outside, he saw that his aunt had just come out of her room, looking upset that her business had been interrupted.
Fortunately, she had already taken a shower. And of course, Arthur could feel a faint, stronger aura from her body.
From her expression, she should have known who was coming.
Arthur approached her and asked, "aunt, who is that man?"
"His name is Owen Armstrong, he visits Vera and the neighborhood quite often," Isabel replied as she continued to walk.
Arthur didn't follow her to the door, just waited by the sofa.
When Isabel opened the door, the figures of Logan and Owen immediately appeared. The former frowned slightly as he saw Isabel while the latter showed a faint smile that could easily impress any woman.
His eyes looked at Isabel from head to toe, he seemed to be admiring her beauty.
"Isabel, I didn't expect you to become more beautiful with age. Sigh, if only you would accept my feelings, I wouldn't mind divorcing my wife," he said.
There was no hesitation at all on his face, he really would do it for Isabel.
The latter naturally pouted upon hearing that. If she were an immoral woman, she would probably be proud. However, as a woman who cared about other women, such words were practically like stepping on her tail.
"What do you want?" Isabel asked with cold eyes.
Of course, she knew the man would not come here to talk about love. Men like him would put love under wealth and power.
"Come on, how about letting me come in first, and make me some tea," Owen replied.
At this moment, Jade came and approached, but Owen did not seem to care at all.
At the same time, Carla finally arrived, she stopped beside Arthur.
"What exactly happened?" she asked him.
Arthur shook his head, signaling that he didn't know either.
Perhaps the man's intentions were predictable, but he wasn't going to say it before hearing him say it directly.
"It's late, I want to sleep, there's no time to make tea..." Isabel underlined Owen's words.
"If there's anything, say it now or I'll call security to evict you."
"How stubborn of you, Isabel." Owen sighed, not looking angry at all with Isabel's attitude.
However, Logan who was standing by his side could not help but be annoyed. He said, "Isabel, your arrogance seems to have reached a new level, you think you're great just because you have the chance to be a minister? Don't think about it, I suggest you marry this nephew of mine. It's more noble for you than doing nonsense like taking care of the country."
His voice became louder with time. Fortunately the houses here were big enough or else the neighbors would have heard.
Isabel looked at the man and said, "speak carefully, old man. There's CCTV here!"
"Hmph, so what if there's CCTV..." Logan didn't seem scared at all.
When Isabel looked at the CCTV she was referring to, she immediately narrowed her eyes.
"You?" She looked at Logan dumbfounded.
The latter pulled out something like a necklace, having something like a chip underneath.
"A new technology, it can turn off CCTV within a 50-meter radius around it," Logan said.
"Now you see how good we are..." He looked even more proud.
However, Isabel who was no longer a human calmed down quickly. She snorted at Logan before ignoring him and then looking at Owen again.
The man was slightly surprised at how quickly Isabel calmed down, something that made him narrow his eyes.
With a smile, he said, "as expected of the woman I admire the most. If you were to become my wife, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to get out of the bedroom... Perhaps I would feel more alive if I hugged your body all the time."
Isabel was a woman. Being teased like that naturally embarrassed her. She blushed for a moment even though Owen was a man she did not like.
"Owen, don't think you're great just because you can walk smoothly since you were born... If you want to see what a woman like me can do, you should at least call your father to get ready to send help!" Her eyes became colder.
The always calm Owen trembled for a moment under her gaze, something he did not understand why.
"Ehmmm!" In the end, he cleared his throat. Then, he said, "I am here to deliver my family's message, that we will give you an additional reward if you quit politics."
"I'm not interested in your money," Isabel replied.
"I know, but what we're going to give you is not money, but gold, a ton of gold!"
