Chapter 471: Traitor & Victorious Rebellion

Chapter 471: Traitor & Victorious Rebellion

Chapter 471: Traitor & Victorious Rebellion

For some time, there was a recreated stalemate between the 30 shadows from the Shadow Hall and the rebelling disciples.

Even though the group of 50 disciples that entered the fray trying to stop the 5 Blood Shadows from attacking the outer formation were a bunch of ragtag, they still posed quite the hindrance.

These guys were a sly bunch, as they would always attack the moment that the 5 opponents were hitting the formation, and only from long range.

None of them dared to enter the close range with any of the 5 opponents, but even then, they were quite annoying flies.

It was just like attacking a fly, they would buzz around them quickly, and then make their attack when their opponent didn't have their eyes or attention to them.

While their sting wouldn't kill their opponents, it was nonetheless truly annoying, and sometimes even dangerous, taking into consideration where it would end.

The 5 Blood Shadows were clearly getting increasingly enraged by those tactics, but they couldn't really blame them either, this was the best tactic at the moment.

If these guys weren't a bunch of traitors, and rebels they might have even proposed them to the Shadow Hall, but that was clearly impossible now.

This game of dodgeball continued for some time, as there still wasn't much of a difference between the two sides.

In fact, the battle seemed like it was going on the Shadow Hall members' side, as the outer formation was getting weaker and weaker due to the rebel disciples getting tired.

The Qi reserve tank (Dantian) of a Golden Core Realm cultivator could never compare to its Nascent Soul Realm counterpart.

This was also the biggest reason why the Shadow Hall members were still in a rather calm, and unhurried situation.

With the way things were going in the long run they certainly had the advantage against these guys so there was no reason for them to rush.

As a matter of fact, in their eyes the longer this continued, the more did their chances of winning this battle increase.

Their situation changed the next moment though, as they saw with their eyes more than 500 rebel disciples come there and replace the tired ones.

This was bad, the situation had just turned for worse, this totally changed the balance. The Shadow Hall turned from winner to loser in one single move.

It was the same as trying to put off a fire with a big container of water, if the fire was big enough and it could resist the water from the container then the fire was the winner.

But if there was a way for water to replenish the container, even if it was half full, then no matter how much it tried to burn the fire was destined to be the loser.

It was perfectly clear that in the current situation, the Shadow Hall members had entered a dangerous and disadvantageous situation.

They had no time to dawdle around and needed to work fast, otherwise, they were destined to lose, and they couldn't afford to do such a thing, as behind them lied the bodies of Tianlong Yun and Tianlong Hu Die.

They were supposed to be their Patriarch's lifeguards, and trump cards, they couldn't allow their reputation, and dignity to fall in front of these greenhorns.

It was easy for them to understand each other, as they had fought alongside each other for a long time, and their teamwork was really good.

Clearly understanding each other's line of thought, they immediately changed tactic, as the formation was left on the shoulders of 15 of them, as another 10 joined hands to destroy the outer formation.

The 4 chancellors were more than ready for this change in formation, as they could easily predict the next move of a frightened and hopeless rabbit, but the ragtag group was another matter altogether.

They had been going with their attacks all this time, annoying, disturbing, and pressuring the 5 opponents, as they profited from their numbers and their standing.

But the moment the other 10 guys joined the attack, they were nothing more than easy targets, and in less than a breathing time more than 90% of them lied down on the ground, dead beyond dead.

That wasn't all though, as immediately after taking care of the flies, those 10 guys immediately joined the attackers' group, and started attacking the barrier.

Even though the pressure on their body had more than tripled, and their movements seemed really sloppy, they were nonetheless able to deal a considerable amount of damage to the outer formation.

This time not only were there cracks in the outer formation, but they also were more than visible, and the barrier was on the verge of being destroyed.

The new development of the situation clearly frightened a majority of the rebel disciples, as they could now feel the difference with their opponents, and started doubting their skills, and the outcome.

Would they be able to emerge victorious from this fight!? If they didn't, then they most certainly would end up dead, and none of them wanted to die.

This was when they took their fates on their own hands, and a new path, full of opportunities spread in front of them, they couldn't allow themselves to die here.

But the attacking power of the people in front of them was no joke. If they managed to increase that attacking power by less than 10%, then they were nothing more than powerless practice targets.

Differently from the majority, the four chancellors seemed to be collected, and to be expecting this, as they immediately started giving their words of courage, and orders,

"Don't fret, we have prepared for this, brothers. We only need to bear with this for a little longer, and then no matter what the victory is ours."

"Victory is in sight, we just need to win this battle, and we will have our lives and fates in our hands again!"

"Just a little longer and we will be able to have a chance to destroy that evil abomination!"

"Think about our brothers' sacrifice and hold on!"

The rebel disciples making up the formation were encouraged by those words, as many disciples' blood started boiling and they got even more reckless and courageous.

In the meantime, the 4 chancellors, just made eye contact in order to agree on something, and then immediately gave the order,

"Eat the pills and attack!"

As they did that, the 500 disciples that had just been replaced in the formation, gobbled down the 'Heart Cleansing' pills and another pill they had been provided with earlier.

Taking those pills their spirit power seemed to have been restored in a short time, but that wasn't all there was to it, as they even had bloodshot eyes and a dangerous aura to them.

It was like they had lost all reason and gone berserk, as their Qi and aura were truly unstable at the moment.

This just made them look even more dangerous, as they looked just like some wild animals without reason, depending only on instinct and hatred.

As they jumped towards their target, they first used their most powerful ranged attacks towards the 15 fighters trying to disrupt, and destroy the outer formation.

None of them was the 15 fighter's opponent, in a one versus one situation, and even in a 10 versus one situation, but right now they were 500 versus 15.

No matter what, it was impossible for those 15 guys to escape their attacks unscathed.

Totally impossible, and it was just like that, as the moment the dust and debris were cleared, and the colorful Qi stopped blocking their line of view they were able to see the 15 opponents battered and tattered.

But that wasn't all there was to it, as the 500 attacking force proceeded forward for a head-on reckless clash.

The 15 Shadow Hall members were startled by their decision seeing that in long-range attacks they were clearly superior, but didn't bother much thinking about it.

Now wasn't the time to think about that, as they quickly recollected themselves, and prepared to receive their opponents.

The surprises didn't seem to be over though, as the attacking force didn't put up any defensive measure, they were like kamikaze.

They had concentrated everything they had on the attack, and nothing on defense, it was clear that they didn't care for their lives, and only for the damage they caused.

The situation was getting shittier and shittier as time passed, but since these guys wanted to die so much they just had to fulfill their wish.

Even if they died today, they would take down more than a few of them to the Yellow River, after all, it would be lonely if they went alone.

With these thoughts in mind, they all were prepared to show the best of their skills, but the moment their opponents were about to attack them, they felt a pressure disrupt all their momentum.

It was a light disruption for a single instant, but that was enough to completely break their momentum, and power, as they were unable to put up a fight against that horde of kamikaze.

The next moment the only thing one could see from that spot was a small hill of human bodies created.

This signed the moment that the Shadow Hall had completely lost the fight, as the 15 left members making up the inner formation weren't able to keep it up anymore, and fell to the hands of the rebels.

Even though everything seemed to happen in a rather swift way, the week-long battle had ended up like this, with the victory of the rebels.

But there was only one thought to the Shadow Hall members. They had a traitor among them!
