Chapter 489: Dryad’s Soul & Climax
Even running away wouldn't work now as it was too late! Nobody was coming to their aid either, as nobody would willingly go die with them, just for a slim shot of them escaping the disaster.
This time they didn't hold back as they used everything they could to save their lives, but even their treasures were worthless in that situation.
In the meantime, Tianlong Yun's body had been completely covered in the Nirvana Flames, as he was rotating at a really high speed.
He was trying his best to create a counter energy in order to make the impact's and the lightning's power subside as he tried to survive this damn situation.
The light from the clash was blinding, even to the people that might look at the scene from far away, it looked like 4 yellowish-white transparent tube lights were falling down on that place.
And the cracklings of the bolts of lightning made the situation even better, no matter who looked at it, they would think that it was some kind of show playing on the horizon.
The only problem was that such a show was impossible in normal circumstances, and there was no way such a natural show was coincidental.
The show didn't last for long, but it surely gathered a lot of attention through every corner of the Soul Land.
And even those who hadn't been able to see it, would surely get news of it by the next day, or even earlier.
The main characters of this show though were decreasing in number with each time those lightning bolts struck.
With that last attack, the level 4 trees had joined the rest of them and were burned to a crisp, leaving behind only the sapling, mother tree that was in Tianlong Yun's hands.
In fact, even the sapling had already burned by now, and all that was left was the Soul Avatar of the mother tree, which had the shape of a dryad.
The dryad was an actual beauty, her whole body was green, her eyes, her hair, her skin, her dress, everything was green.
Even though at the moment she was no bigger than 10 centimeters, one could see that she had the perfect shapes that a lady should have.
Her melons were big but not too big, her waist was slim and it looked like a deep valley between two mountains, as her rear mountains were in proportion with her melons.
No matter who saw her like that would have two immediate thoughts, the first one to protect such a poor little delicate creature, and the second to ravish her if she was bigger.
Tianlong Yun had been expecting something like this, but he guessed that he had still had underestimated the Soul Avatar of the Mother tree.
Not to mention that this little thing also contained in its memory the entirety of the Soul cultivation technique, it was something he couldn't lose.
Right now, he was unrecognizable, as more than half of his body had been disintegrated, and only less than half was remaining, but his Vampire blood was kicking in full power, at least as much as it could.
But that wasn't important to him, the important thing was that even this part of his plan had been a success for him.
Yes, it was right, he had planed this thing. The bane of all evil spirits and remnant souls was lightning, and even more so divine lightning of the Heaven's Rage.
For that reason, he had thought that the best way to deal with the soul remnant of the mother tree would be using the lightning of the Heaven's Rage against it.
He knew that this thing contained a good part too, as, from the memories he had received from the level 3 trees until now, the technique had firstly born its Soul, and then had turned into an evil spirit.
In other words, as long as he was able to take care of that evil energy, and remnant soul, he would be left only with the technique's soul.
He hadn't quite expected the soul to be a dryad though, but it wasn't like it would make any difference as he was already prepared for his next step.
With just a simple thought his saber, 'Life's Regret' came out of his Old Pouch once again, covered in different symbols and inscriptions.
The moment his saber came out, he made a little cut to the dryad's body, as her green blood was splattered on the sword, and then threw her to his sword.
The little thing was powerless against his handling, and the only thing it could do was to get embedded in his saber, and becoming the saber's spirit.
Since the dryad had no power to resist this, the process was really simple, and she became the saber's spirit in an instant, but that was the missing ingredient to make the saber, a divine weapon.
The saber from the beginning missed only a powerful enough soul in order to become a divine weapon.
Normal souls wouldn't cut the deal, as to make it a powerful divine weapon it needed a powerful soul, and this little dryad soul was the perfect one.
Not only was the soul already powerful as it had a cultivation of Soul Lord, but it also had the opportunity to develop and grow with the passing of time.
If that wasn't a perfect match, Tianlong Yun wouldn't understand what it could be. He had just hit so many birds with just one stone.
But that wasn't all there was to it, those 10 powerhouses that had been alive prior to the last attack were dead, but their bodies were still there due to their protective treasures.
It was such a shame that those protective treasures had either broken to pieces or completely disappeared, but this was a huge haul too.
He would have never thought that he would be handed so many gifts in such a short time, as he immediately collected their bodies and sent them to the Old Pouch.
He was truly lucky to have been given such an opportunity, but things weren't over just yet, as the Heaven's Rage had yet to finish.
As a matter of fact, even though these whole descriptions seem so long, in actual fact they happened only in a moment, or in an instant.
Everything moves so much slower in the eyes of the true powerhouses, what to them it looks like a minute to use is nothing more than a millisecond most probably.
When Eric had started the integration of the little dryad spirit into his sword, 9 crackling noises were heard at the top of the sky.
The clouds that were already covering the whole area seemed to have been condensed into only a big one, as they seemed like they were preparing to mount the last attack on the ground.
Just as the integration was finished though the 9 white bolts of lightning seemed to stop for a few moments, as a new dark cloud appeared on top of the first.
Those 9 bolts of lightning suddenly become stronger, as another one was added to their numbers, and they became 10.
If what happened earlier was a show of yellowish-white lights, this time it was the mother of all the possible light festivals.
The entire sky seemed to be lighted with that white light coming from those bolts of lightning, as a matter of fact, looked like a new sun white sun had been born in that place.
It was lightning the whole Soul Land, and many people had difficulties looking at it, as it was too damn bright.
As if trying to show their majesty and power the 10 bolts of lightning started to dance over the sky like some white dragons, and then clashed together to combine into one big white lightning.
Until now Tianlong Yun had thought that even though it was going to be difficult he would be able to pull it through the Heaven's Rage.
But now when he was actually looking at the scene in front of him, he thought that perhaps he had gone a tad bit too far, and that probably he wouldn't be able to pull it through this time.
Well, it wasn't like he was going to die, as he already had prepared a few Soul Clones inside the Old Pouch, but if it happened he would just lose too much.
He would most probably lose his Soul cultivation until now, his saber, and most importantly his cultivation and his bloodline.
Damn! This wasn't supposed to happen, the benefits were clearly losing to the consequences, but there was nothing he could do about it.
He had to try his best in order to escape his death, no matter what, as his brain started working fast like a computer once again, calculating all the possible routes, and the probabilities of each route.
There were a lot of possible scenarios, but none of them actually worked for him, no matter how much he tried the end seemed to be set in stone.
Fu*ck! Did he have to die once again in such a short time!? What kind of sick fate had he? But he wouldn't give up that easily.
So, his brain continued to look through more and more scenarios that would make it possible for him to save from that final punishment.
But then he was reminded about one thing, this was the perfect time to prove if that was true or not.
He was going to lose a big chance if it was, but he guessed that it would be worth it, so he decided to give it a go.
The moment he decided that the white lightning dragon seemed to have filled its capacity and fell down roaring
