Chapter 125: The Untouchable

Sol looked down to the arena, Harry was standing in front of Devourer who was almost three-meter tall.

Harry was wearing a full-body thunder armor and carrying two short swords and a round shield with him, he could conjure his own equipment beforehand but he could not conjure a new one once he gets into the arena.

Devourer went into the arena with a huge broadsword made of steel, he wears chest plate, bracers, and leg guards, his large body was covered less but it gave him better mobility than Harry, he could actually conjure a full body armor as size did not really matter in conjuring.

Harry might have looked like he was scared but he went to the arena anyway, he looked toward the bigger man without fear in his eyes, only hunger could be seen there.

"Do you think he would win?" Jennie asked Sol, she should have known that in martial arts skills, Harry and Sol were not anywhere near her but she asked for his opinion anyway.

"I don't know, Harry should have a trump card to beat Devourer but the other way might be true as well, we can only wait and see," he answered honestly.

"How about you? What do you think?" Sol asked the girl beside him.

"Harry will lose, he did not have the experience of an expert like Devourer nor the accumulation of a real colosseum duelist, no matter how many secrets he has, the gap is too big," she answered him with a professional opinion.

"then how about you and me? We also don't have such experience and our enemy also a professional colosseum fighter, why would we fight if we don't have a chance?" he asked her.

Jennie shook her head in disagreement, "Devourer is different, I think the name untouchable suit him really well, he had an aura of a master, he is likely a martial arts master even before his death," she explained.

The dead in the city come from the mortal realm, they might be hundreds of years old or might even be thousand years old, their past and current accomplishment would affect their capability.

It seems Devourer, the untouchable was the best of the best even in his past life, luckily Sol did not need to fight him.

The fight was about to start as the referee finished briefing then on the rule, he moved back out of the arena before he shot a ball of flame that explodes in the air as a sign of the battle have started.

Harry took the initiative and pulled his swords out of their sheat and rush toward the bigger guy he was faster than when they spar with each other.

He much has used some kind of technique to increase his speed, it probably was his ability as an Heir, the referee did not stop the fight so they should not be able to sense the ability.

With a swing, he tried to cut Devourer's side but right when it about to touch the Devourer, he moved his broadsword in the way and block Harry's short sword with it.

'Clang' sound of metal hitting metal could be heard through the arena and the audience start to get excited, even though it was not as impressive as a fight with no limitation, wight with physical ability and technique also have its own charm.

Harry had expected that the man would block his attack, he spins behind the man and used his other sword to hit him in the back.

But to his surprise, the devourer kicks back toward his chest without turning his body, sending Harry back a few steps.

He gasps for breath as the kick had sent the air out of his lung, before he could recover, the Devourer already swinging his broadsword to his face with a speed unlogical to common sense.

His sword was so big that it was supposed to be too heavy to move that fast, but it did not stop him to send a quick attack toward Harry.

Harry could only cross his swords to block the incoming sword, the swords collide with each other sending spark flying far away.

The lightning man needs to take a few steps back to disperse the power behind Devourer's sword, if he holds his ground then the impact would either break his swords or his arms, either prospect was not appealing to him.

The fight had not started for more than a minute but Harry already gets cornered, he would lose if the man pushed him out of the arena.

Harry gritted his teeth and his muscle started to expand, he grew from a man with average height to almost as tall as the Devourer, the unique part was his armor did not get broken by his increase of size but get bigger as well.

"his swords looked like daggers now that he grew bigger, when he finished the transformation, Devourer already upon him with his broad sword coming to chop Harry from above.

With his sword, Harry blocks the incoming hit, even though his hand gets pushed down, he barely able to stop the hit right before the sword touch his body.

Harry used his other sword to cut at Devoured but he stepped back to dodge the dagger-like sword, it almost touches him but Devourer was one step faster than Harry.

"What a close fight! The Lightning Man had turn big and keep up with the Untouchable!" the MC hype the crowd even more, "Will this fight become the first time someone could hurt the untouchable in a hundred years?" he continued.josei

Devourer was called untouchable because no one could hurt him, most could not even touch them with their weapon.

In Sol's eyes, the man's movement was similar to Jennie's movement that did not allow others to touch him, if they try to touch him then they would need to exchange blow for blow.

But the trouble was his body was not the weak and lean girl but a giant-like body that would smash anything it hit.

If anyone exchange blow for a blow with the giant's broadsword then they would lose their life in exchange for making the man bleed.

Harry somehow bridges the physical stats gap with his ability but his technique could not keep up with the man, he could not even touch a single hair of the man while he got hit from time to time.

The Devourer used another overhead chop with his broad sword when suddenly Harry move lightning-fast from his previous location and appear behind the man.

With a single motion, Harry stabbed the man's back with both of his swords, it pierces through the armor and went into his back.

"The untouchable got Hit!" the MC shout which creates havoc in the audience, they did not expect that Harry would really hurt the Devourer.

Fresh blood flows out but it did not stop the Devourer from turning back and sent a punch toward Harry's face.

Harry tried to pull his sword out of the devourer's back and dodge but his sword would not move from where it was, he could only let it go to dodge the incoming punch.

To his surprise, the punch comes faster than before, it seems that his opponent was not giving his all as well.

The punch hit him in the face and sent him tumbling on the ground, Harry's helmet dented inward and blood could be seen flowing from the gap.

He quickly tries to recover from the hit but the devourer already chopping toward his side with his broadsword.

Harry did not have his swords nor could he conjure another weapon so he tried to dodge the sword by rolling to the side.

But it was not a good move as he needs more time to recover from the rolling position, the Devourer already chopping toward his back before he could recover.

The fight was decided when Harry lost his weapon, he could barely weight with it, now he did not have any weapon, he could not fight the man properly.

With a broadsword coming for his life, Harry could not help but defend himself, he conjured a barrier of lightning to stop the sword.

When the sword makes contact with the barrier, the barrier gets shattered like glasses as a Minor demigod had resistance toward it.

The sword continues forward but before it could touch Harry, a barrier of water cover him and stop the sword on its track.

"That's enough," the Referee had step in as Harry had broken the rule and the fight was finished.

It took the audience a few seconds before they realize what happened and explode in cheer.

The referee announced that the winner of the fight was The devourer, Harry's body turns back to its normal size and he walks slowly back to the waiting room.

He slumps down in tiredness as he had used a lot of his energy to grow bigger and fight the untouchable Devourer.

"You sly fox, you actually have such a trump card!" Jennie poked Harry on the side.
