Chapter 56 - -55<Cullen Estate-4>
From what Arvin could observe he could see that this place was the secret meeting room of the bigshots of the Cullen family. So Loki's hunch was right. But now the question was what does it got to do with the old man. The youth that Arvin came with spoke in such a manner that the old man was the reason that this meeting was called. That arouses another question, whether this meeting will be harmful or fruitful for him.
He knew the chance of it being fruitful is less than 5%. Plus the stares that he was getting from the people sitting in the area gave Arvin a very good idea about what is going to happen. So he decided that he should be prepared for the worst. ??
There were many people here. So Arvin has to be vigilant. Because individually he is the strongest man in the room. But when enemies come into the group, things could go nasty. Arvin started making plans about how he will handle the situation if anything goes wrong. As he was thinking, stones beside the stone chairs started moving. All the stone moved aside to reveal a hidden passage from which a woman and man came out.
The woman seemed in her thirties. She was wearing a blue color dress which helps to showcase her boobs. She had long brown hair. Some of her hair was tied into a bun over her head. She had sparkling blue eyes and fair skin. The most important thing to note about this woman was the fact that her strength was comparable to that of Arvin. She might be even stronger if the fighting experience is taken into account.
Arvin may have fought a lot of wild beasts in the Kalgan Forrest. But that didn't mean that now he has a lot of fighting experience because there is a huge difference between fighting an animal and a human.
Along with the woman came a middle-aged man. He was not strong as Arvin but he was not weak either. They both sat on the stone thrones on the raised platform while the third seat remained empty. As both woman and the man sat down, the room quiet. Seeing this Arvin thought that maybe standing will be rude, so he should sit down and observe for a minute. But as he was about to sit down in a seat, the woman on the stone chair started to speak…
"HAN! On the platform. Right now." She spoke cruelly and with an angry expression on her face.
Arvin took this as a queue and started walking towards the platform in the middle of the room. He only stopped in the middle of the platform and started staring at the woman…
"Old man, have you gone senile? What are you planning telling the old master that you will take care of the Cross family's head? Huh?" the woman spoke
'How did she know? And how the hell this meeting was arranged just a few moments after my meeting?' Arvin thought. While he decided that he should stay quiet for the moment.
"What were you thinking old man? We the people of the faction are here to protect the Cullen family from extinction. We are not mercenaries who could go and take on the whole Cross family. And did you not think of repercussions we would have if the word gets out that we were responsible for the attack?
Are you that stupid? Huh?" the woman spoke…
"*cough* For those who you who know what is going on, let me fill you guys in. The old master of the Cullen wanted us to assassinate the head of the Cross family. But our leader Terumi decided that we would not do such a thing. As it was a very reckless move.
But Elder Han decided to go against her wishes and promised the old master that he would himself take care of this matter. That is why this meeting was called on such small notice." The middle-aged spoke after their leader had stopped spitting fire out of her mouth.
"Now what are we suppose to do Han? Huh? You just wrote a death notice for all of us. Don't you know Cross family also has the backing from upper floors? Don't you what will happen we kill the Cross family's head. What are we suppose to do now?" asked Terumi the head of the ghost faction.
"I have a plan," Arvin said.
"You can take your plan and shove it up to your as* you mother f*cking geezer. Your duma*s will not do us any good. I know your IQ level. You are just a senile geezer. If I remember then it was your plan that got your son killed right? Will this plan be the same as that one before? HUH?" Terumi spoke. But this time she had taken this too far. Everyone realized it. But no one spoke any word about it.
"EXCUSE ME?" Arvin said calmly. But the way he said sends chills down everyone's spine. Even the middle-aged man felt fear at the moment when Arvin said 'excuse me'. Arvin was standing on the platform with a hunched back. But after saying 'excuse me' he straightens his back and stood straight in front of everybody in the room. One could hear his bones cracking while he straightened his back. Arvin glared at the Terumi again and asked again…
"I didn't get the last part that you said. Will you mind saying it again?" Arvin said as calmly as possible. But everyone in the room understood the meaning behind those words.
Terumi who was spitting fire just a moment ago realized her mistake when Arvin straightens his back. She knew that Elder Han was the oldest and most loyal member of the faction. He had never shown any emotion on his face. But as he was glaring at her and showing the signs that he was ready to attack her showed that maybe in anger she said some things that were uncalled for.
In reality, Arvin wasn't angry. That woman was shouting insults to that old man who was no longer in this world. So he didn't care about her insults. But he cared about was to act like that he was indeed the old man so that he could hide his identity as an imposter. That is why he glared at the woman and straighten his back. After all, any sane person if hears someone insulting him as well as bring the death of their son was bound to get angry. So he just acted out on his instincts.
"I take back my words. I am sorry elder Han." Terumi said.
"As I was saying before. I have a plan. But still, as an elder, I have a responsibility. Please note that I have been working on this plan for some time now. And I mean that I have started working on my plan for several weeks now. All the groundwork for my grand plan has already have been done.
But I ask you guys. When I worked on my plan, did I use any of the sources of this group? Did I use any of the personnel for my plan? The answer is no." Arvin said to all the people in the cave.
"You have been working on some grand plan without telling one in the faction?" Terumi asked.
"Yes."
"And you didn't bother to ask for permission even from your leader?" Terumi asked while glaring at Arvin.
"I am telling you guys now," Arvin said.
"This meeting is adjourned. Except for all the elders everyone leave." Terumi finally said.
Terumi was a woman aspiring power. She was an extremely competitive person. If anyone takes her over in anything then she gets very frustrated. When she became leader of the ghost faction, she finally has the power she yearned for. She wanted to keep this power with her for a long time. So she kept an eye on every leader candidate that could make her give up her position. And the most dangerous person in this sense was Elder Han. He was a powerful, influential, and respected elder.
Elder Han may be inferior in power but still, everyone in the faction respected him. From what Terumi observed that he was just an order-following fool. He didn't have any ambition or whatsoever to take her position. So she thought until now that she didn't have to worry about him any longer. But she still didn't let her guard down around him. She still kept her eye on him. But as he accepted that he had been planning something for all this time, she lost it. She started reevaluating his danger level.
As Elder Han accepted that he had been working on his grand plan for some time now, Terumi disbanded the meeting. Because this plan was their highest priority right now. And this type of thing should only be between the elders of the faction. She originally called this meeting to undermine Elder Han and show everyone his recklessness. But it seems like that calling this meeting over was a very wrong decision.
