Soul for a Girlfriend?

Chapter 185 - My First Ever Date - Part 1

Chapter 185 - My First Ever Date - Part 1

Quite a few days have passed since I had a conversation with her. Even though, what I could've done was already done. The rest depended entirely on how Naoto understood the things and how dedicated she was.

My words may or may not have meant anything to her. The fact that she was aware of the reason for her own downfall was a good thing. Being self aware is far better than being oblivious. A person in oblivion is just on the path towards his own demise.

Days were passing by, weeks were passing by but there was no visible progress that would indicate the end flag for me. By far, Naoto was taking the most time to get captured. Recalling how fast Saki fell for me, I was correct to assume that she already had feelings for me.

Keeping aside that, this is the first time I was in a functioning relationship and that too with a girl whom I could've never imagined to be with. Now, when I was single I used to think that being in a relationship brings a whole lot of trouble but it seems that it purely depends on your partner..

Naoto was quite an understanding and smart girl so it wasn't really difficult for me to deal with her. But then again, it was barely over a week that we started dating. Everything feels delightful when it's for the first time.

I wonder how sex might feel for the first time.

That thought came to my mind out of the blue. Well I was a teenager after all, there was nothing I could do about the hormones surging through my body.

Apparently that day was also the day I planned to go on my first ever date. It was of course planned by me since I told Naoto to think of something but she was way too indecisive about it so I got annoyed and took everything in my hands.

I agree that despite how cold and serious she looks from outside, she was indeed a cinnamon roll from inside. Yuna was correct about her. Also it seems like she gets nervous a lot around me, which probably was from going in a relationship after so long.

Maybe she was confused, or needed time but depending on my circumstances, time was really valuable and I couldn't waste it waiting for someone to make up their mind. The only reason I asked her out between all this mess was because she was vulnerable and more likely to say yes.

I could've waited for things to settle down and then ask her out but that just wouldn't work for me. Girls are more likely to make decisions if it's being backed up by their friends. That's why I was manipulating Yuna to begin with.

Vivian was smart enough to catch on to my lead, but that's only because I let him to. He was indeed her close friend, but returning to friends from a relationship is the second hardest thing ever.

Still the first one is to get into a relationship.

The level of awareness between them wasn't much but it was noticeable if you're observant enough. They still cared for each other, just that there was a wall between them at that moment. A thin wall, yet hard to break.

I was getting ready for my date. Just saying that phrase was weird for me. A person who had little to no social interaction a few months ago was now going on dates. Though I was actually confused since I had no idea what to do on a date.

I was looking at my reflection in the mirror. My hair was everywhere, and I was wearing a dark blue shirt with black trousers. I don't think that I was under-dressed for going on a date. I always liked to wear simple clothes. My wardrobe was full of plain colored outfits.

I noticed Lilith entering the room and her eyes shifted towards me. A sly smile formed on her face as she asked, "So… going on a date, huh?"

She already knew I was going on a date since I had told her beforehand. I was only going on this date with the hope to do something useful. If this doesn't work, then I had no idea what to do. The other option left was none other than waiting for her change of heart.

"Apparently." I answered with a subtle nod, and she replied with a question, "Isn't this your first time?"

I turned around to look at her, as I was buttoning up my sleeves, and with a mischievous smile on her face, she said, "Oho, then Senpai might need to be gentle with you."

Narrowing my eyes at her, I sighed in disappointment because I knew that she would've said that. There was no difference between her humour and middle schooler's one.

"Don't make it weird. I'm already dying from cringes." I said, and she chuckled. Her eyes were looking at me from toe to head as her eyes stared towards my hair and she asked, "What's up with your hair though?"

I was confused and said nothing as she added, "Why are you looking like a homeless person?"

I was aware that I wasn't looking very appealing but there was nothing else to wear for me. It would just be a different colour shirt then. I exclaimed with visible confusion on my face, "Ouch! I don't know… what should I wear then?"

"What do you mean? You don't know?" She tilted her head in confusion as some of her hair became loose and fell in front of her face. Looking at her confused face, I smiled awkwardly and said, "I told you… I have no idea."

Her eyes shifted all over me as she said with a bit of hesitation, "Um… well you're looking decent… come here…"

"Huh?" She was calling me towards her, as I was confused but decided to see what she'll do. She had this smug look on her face as her eyes narrowed at me, "Here…"

She looked up at me as her hands reached for my hair and she ruffled them softly. The expression on her face changed to that of pure curiosity as she said, "Wow! Your hair is so fluffy!"
