Chapter 180 Fortune Hermit
Chapter 180 Fortune Hermit
Eliiot heard the two dragons shouting, but he totally couldn’t care less.
“This damned girl tried to kill me! If I don’t kill her today to get rid of a future threat, my name is not Elliot!!” Elliot thought to himself angrily. He continued to smash Gilgamar down on the Dome Palace!
Elliot was no fool, he wasn’t blindly and randomly attacking the Dome Palace. His sharp eyes had immediately noticed that there were various rune engravings on the dome that were glowing lightly.
His initial strike had targeted the largest glowing rune and immediately caused the Dome Palace’s anti-magic shields to weaken considerably.
Realizing that the runes played a critical role to the Dome Palace’s defenses, Elliot had immediately targeted all of the complex runes.
Very, very quickly, the Dome Palace’s shields began to power down, and the number of cracks on the dome began to rise exponentially in number.
As soon as that dome collapsed, the ship would immediately be destroyed under Elliot’s blind fury.
“ELLIOT!! It’s a misunderstanding! MISUNDERSTANDING!!” Khellendra shouted as she sped up to try and reach the site of battle as quickly as she could.
However, by the rate at which the Dome was approaching full collapse, Khellendra realized that she would not make it in time to physically pull Elliot away from the Dome Palace.
“Attack! Protect the Fortune Hermit’s Disciple!” Khellendra finally said to Khalendros urgently.
Immediately, a humongous lightning bolt exploded out of Khalendros’ hand and shot towards Elliot!
C R A C K ! ! ! !
Elliot’s instincts were ridiculously sharp, and he managed to throw himself backwards and avoid Khalendros’ attack.
However, the break in his attack rhythm had bought the two blue dragons the time they needed to get in front of the Dome Palace.
“STOP!” Khellendra shouted with a tinge of anger in her voice.
“Get out of my way, Khellendra. I don’t want to hurt you.” Elliot growled.
“That’s no way to talk to her, boy.” Khalendros snarled at Elliot and fired off another fat lightning bolt at him.
Anticipating that he would attack, Elliot’s reaction was instantaneous as he released a powerful fire blast at Khalendros’ lightning bolt.
B O O O O O M M ! ! ! !
Both attacks smashed into each other and exploded in a fearsome display of energy reaction.
“Enough, both of you! As I have said before, this is a misunderstanding! Stop fighting!” Khellendra shouted angrily. “Khal, stand down. Elliot, would you please listen to me?!”
“She sneak attacked me and tried to kill me!” Elliot shouted.
“I SAID I DON’T WANT TO FIGHT WITH YOU ANYMORE! You didn’t listen!” The girl’s indignant voice rang out of the heavily damaged Dome Palace.
“Dumbass. Who in the world will listen to their enemy who just tried to kill them?” Elliot cursed the girl.
“WHO DID YOU JUST CALL DUMBASS, YOU DUMBASS??” The girl shouted. “WHEN MY MASTER COMES, I WILL MAKE SURE HE TEACH YOU A LESSON YOU’LL NEVER FORGET!”
Khellendra shook her head and felt a massive headache start to brew in her head.
“By the time your master arrives, all he will see is a chunk of charred corpse. YOUR CORPSE!” Elliot said dangerously.
“The Dome Palace is an Origin Grade Ship that is unique to an Ancient Level hermit called Fortune Hermit.” Khalendros said quietly. “The Fortune Hermit could obliterate planet Earth with a single breath. I suggest you calm down first and listen to the girl’s explanation.”
Khalendros’s words were like a huge pail of cold water poured on Elliot’s smoldering embers of rage.
His fury immediately winked out of existence and was replaced by a cold, rational mind.
“Good.” Khalendros said when he noticed the cold and unfeeling expression that finally appeared on Elliot’s face.
“Now, little girl. Tell us, why did you try to kill our friend?” Khalendros asked.
“HMPH! You think I’ll tell you after what your friend did to my Dome Palace?” The little girl pouted.
“You can remain quiet. But I will be telling the Fortune Hermit that you tried to murder an innocent. He will definitely get angry and-“
“ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT I’LL TELL YOU!” The little girl shouted hastily. “Keep my stupid great grand uncle out of this.”
At that, Khellendra turned to look at Khalendros in shock.
“Holy smokes. Thank goodness we stopped Elliot in time. Or else we would definitely be in deep trouble!” His slightly open mouth seemed to say.
“Well? Tell us then!” Elliot said. He wasn’t particularly shocked because he wasn’t very clear on just how powerful the Fortune Hermit was and how much he loved his offspring.
“I came here as a volunteer to eradicate the Shadow Parasite Disaster. And I attacked him because my sensors are showing a positive reading on him! I thought that he was infested. But I later realized that he doesn’t particularly sound infested so… I wanted to stop fighting.” The little girl said.
“A Shadow Parasite once exploded in my face and marked me with its fluids.” Elliot said calmly. “That must be what you detected.”
“OH! You’re right. That’s probably what I detected. Hee hee! Soorreeyyy…” The little girl said sheepishly.
However, before Elliot could reply…
“BUT YOU SMASHED MY DOME PALACE UP REALLY BADLY! YOU NEED TO PAY ME COMPENSATION!!” She shouted.
“Sure. I’ll pay you out of the compensation I’ll demand from your great grand uncle for your murder attempt on me.” Elliot said.
“Ah? Wait. I think I still have a lot of money left in my bank account. HAHAHA! Lot’s of money! Don’t bother about compensation!” The girl immediately responded.
“Good! I get to keep all of the compensation for myself.” Elliot’s eyes gleamed slightly in greed. He glanced at Khalendros and Khellendra, who were chuckling and shaking her head respectively.
“What? You’re still going to tell him? Don’t! I’ll pay you! Don’t tell him anything!!” The little girl said desperately.
“Why don’t you come out of your Dome Palace and let us share a meal together.” Khellendra suggested. “We have a delicious roast beef with us that we can share.”
“Uhhh. Alright then.” The little girl said in a resigned voice.
BSHHHH!
The cracked dome retracted and a cockpit rose out of the bottom of the ship.
Sitting on it was the most beautiful girl Elliot had ever seen.
