Chapter 181 Distress
Chapter 181 Distress
The four of them settled down on the ground and immediately set out to have a quick meal together.
“This meat tastes really good.” The little girl said in earnest as she chewed on her food daintily.
Her every move and action exuded an elegance that was completely mesmerizing for Elliot. It amused Khellendra and Khalendros to no end when they saw the complex interplay of emotions on his face.
I am angry at her! But she’s so beautiful and elegant… Ah… WAIT! I am angry! I am very angry! She’s a bad, bad girl! But her lips and the way she chews on her food… Is she an angel? ANGRY! FURIOUS! I AM FURIOUS! SHE TRIED TO KILL ME! Ow man, that’s just the most beautiful smile I have ever seen…
Even Khalendros, a happily married dragon who had all of his physical and sexual needs fully satisfied by Khellendra, couldn’t help but to sneak a few glances at the little girl.
He could absolutely imagine the effect she had on the still unmarried and probably still a virgin Elliot.
“It’s called beef. A local delicacy. Have some more.” Khellendra promptly replied and shoved a huge chunk of meat towards her.
The little girl happily obliged and filled her plate with more sizzling beef. She was not just the most beautiful girl Elliot had ever seen, she also most definitely sits at the top on the scale of how much food a girl can eat.
She was chomping down on her third portion and was still going strong!
“My name is Khellendra, this is my husband Khalendros, and our friend here is called Elliot. What’s your name?” Khellendra asked casually.
“My name is Autumn Rosenbloom.” Autumn said after she swallowed her food. “Nice to meet you guys.”
“Likewise. Likewise.” Khalendros said with a smile.
“So, you volunteered to eradicate the Shadow Parasites from Planet Earth. I assume that the rest of the Universe now know that the Shadow Parasites are gathering here en masse?” Khellendra asked.
Autumn nodded and swallowed yet another delicious chunk of beef before answering.
“The Alert Level for the Shadow Parasite Disaster was raised to Defensive Level 3 a few days ago. A bunch of mercenaries and volunteers like me are here or are enroute to deal with the Shadow Parasites with our brand new sensors that could detect them. However, we are under strict orders not to kill any Inserts or locals, especially powerful locals who probably have a huge amount of bets riding on them.” Autumn explained.
“I see.” Elliot said softly. Autumn’s words had finally jarred his mind awake from her mesmerizing force of attraction.
“I need to quickly get my hands on more Life Seeds before the others detect and start collecting them as well.” Elliot thought urgently to himself. “I can’t waste any more time. The best strategy I can take is to hunt for more underground based animals and get them to expand their search area.”
“Should I tell them? If I tell them, I might be able to collect more Life Seeds. Although I will not be able to get whatever they collected. At least all of that power will flow into my team instead of a potential enemy.” Elliot’s mind raced as he contemplated these things.
“… Don’t you agree, Elliot?” Khellendra asked him sweetly.
Elliot simply continued to stare at the roast beef blankly, lost in his thoughts.
“Elliot? Eliiot!!” Khellendra poked him lightly with her finger.
“Huh? Yes? What’s up, Khellendra?” Elliot blinked in surprise.
“He must be lost in his wonder at being surrounded by two of the most beautiful females in existence! Hahahaha!” Khalendros laughed out loudly.
It was true though. In her human form, Khellendra was perfection itself. She had a body to die for that simply exuded a married woman’s mature (but still incredibly sexy) charm. And Autumn, as mentioned previously, was the Angel of Beauty incarnate.
“Ah hahaha. Sorry, I was lost in thought for a moment. What did you just say?” Elliot smiled at them.
“Pay attention when adults are talking.” Autumn frowned her little girl frown and glared at him.
“I was saying that we should let bygones be bygones, and forget everything that has transpired earlier today. It was, afterall, a huge misunderstanding and we are all on the same side in our fight against the Shadow Parasites. What do you think?” Khellendra asked Elliot.
“Ah that. Sure. I will forget everything… After I receive due compensation for Autumn’s attempt to kill me.” Elliot said calmly.
“YOU!” Autumn Rosenbloom sputtered in anger.
“Fine. She did make a mistake. It’s only right that she apologize sincerely to him.” Khalendros stepped in to adjudicate the case. “Tell us then, what sort of compensation are you looking to receive? And Autumn, you’re probably more than wealthy, do not begrudge a little bit of your wealth to this young man here who is struggling to survive in this damned apocalypse for him and his fellow survivors.”
“Fine! Tell me, what do you want from me?” Autumn said with a cute pout.
“I want half your wealth.” Elliot simply said with a sinister smile.
“WHAT? HALF MY WEALTH? YOU’RE DREAMING!” Autumn stood up in shock and anger.
She pointed her quivering finger at him and glared at him.
“You’re the greediest, evilest and most despicable person I have ever met in my entire life!” She shouted loudly.
At that moment, a huge rumbling sound could be heard coming from the sky.
The two dragons and Elliot looked up warily.
They recognized the sound.
It was the sound of large objects hurtling down from the sky at high speeds!
“I heard what you said, little sister! Let me vent your anger by smashing these three pieces of trash into mush!” A loud male voice rang out sharply through the rumbling.
“Fifth Senior Brother!” Autumn Rosenbloom cried out in surprise.
However, the two dragons and Elliot instantly caught the strangeness of her cry. It was not relief, but instead, even more distress than before!
