Chapter 125: Chapter 95: The Third Upgrade

Once Yan Fei had achieved the objective of this operation, he prepared to retreat immediately. The sound of police sirens was already coming from outside, leaving him with little time. He quickly exited the gold vault, intending to leave the place, but when he saw the cash piled on the ground outside, he couldn’t help but grab some and store it in the Universal Space.

The cash had originally been neatly bundled for easy pickup, but due to the shock waves from the explosion, it had been scattered all around. He was only able to grab a few handfuls of the high-denomination notes from the ground. Then, as the sound of police sirens grew nearer, he decisively gave up on collecting more cash and reluctantly evacuated the area.

Just as Yan Fei was about to leave, he suddenly turned back, took out two gasoline barrels from the Universal Space, and poured the gasoline over the banknotes. Then he put the barrels back into the Universal Space, pulled out a lighter, lit it, and threw it into the gold vault. A “boom” was heard as the gold vault burst into flames.

By this time, the riot police who had received the alarm had finally arrived on the scene. They stormed into the bank’s entrance and began an assault towards the Underground Gold Vault, soon discovering the flames emerging from below.

Yan Fei also noticed these police officers, but instead of attempting a forceful break through upstairs, he turned around and headed into the Toilet next to the gold vault. He took out C4 Explosives again, measured the distance, planted the explosives on the innermost wall of the Toilet, and detonated them. A loud explosion was heard, and a large hole was blasted in the toilet wall, emitting white smoke, obscuring its depth. A look of joy appeared on Yan Fei’s face, and he dived into the hole without hesitation.

The big hole seemed somewhat dangerous, but to his surprise, he found a different heaven and earth inside – a more than two-meter-tall underground tunnel filled with cables and pipes. He walked along the underground tunnel for over a hundred meters and then installed a piece of C4 on the wall of the tunnel, blasting another hole. Through this hole, he found himself in the Subway tracks near Ginza. Just at that moment, a Subway train roared from behind. Yan Fei leapt onto the roof of the train; holding onto a protrusion on top, he lay flat as the train carried him forward.

Yan Fei had studied the structural diagram of Oogawa Building and the nearby underground pipeline map while making his combat Plan. After meticulous calculation, he had designed a unique escape route. By using C4 Explosives to blow up gaps between several tunnels, he went inconceivably from the bank’s Underground Gold Vault to a nearby Subway line.

Two minutes later, when the Subway reached the next station, Yan Fei jumped down from the top of the train and hid beside the tracks, starting to Change his disguise. He took out a set of clothes prepared in the Universal Space, removed the US Army Kevlar helmet and Bulletproof vest he was wearing, and transformed into a middle-aged man, bearing no resemblance to the bank robber who had stormed into Oogawa Bank earlier. Not only was his facial features different, but his age and height were also completely altered. After a thorough check with no flaws found, Yan Fei walked into the station ahead and merged into the crowd of disembarking passengers, heading towards the exit.

As Yan Fei was about to approach the Subway exit, he saw a squad of police officers suddenly arriving by car in the distance, setting up a police cordon at the Subway exit, preventing the travelers there from leaving. Apparently, the riot police had finally breached into Oogawa Bank’s Underground Gold Vault amidst the inferno, only to find no sign of the robbers who should have been below. They searched around and soon discovered the blasted tunnel in the Toilet. Once they entered the pipeline channel, they realized they were in the Subway line nearby.

The riot police quickly realized that the robber had used this channel to successfully blend in among the Subway passengers. They started calling for backup, and a large number of police officers were dispatched, swiftly establishing control at several Subway exits in an attempt to find the robber amongst them. Although Yan Fei had worn a Kevlar helmet during his operation, he hadn’t covered his face, so the police had locked onto the suspect’s photo through the bank’s surveillance footage. The officers began checking the disembarking passengers against the photo of the robber.

The Japanese, although unsatisfied at being stopped and unable to leave, didn’t cause any trouble and lined up as instructed by the police, waiting for their checks. Yan Fei couldn’t help but admire the disciplined nature of the Japanese, who maintained order even under such circumstances. However, the photos the police had received of the robber were intentionally left by Yan Fei, and with his significantly altered appearance, the police wouldn’t recognize him.

But after receiving a phone call, the police began to strictly check the identity documents of the passengers disembarking. Anyone found with problematic identification was immediately taken into the police cars parked aside. Yan Fei didn’t have any Japanese identity documents, so he couldn’t sneak out in the confusion. Thinking quickly, he stepped back quietly, hiding himself above the staircase, then pulled out a big wad of the 10,000 Japanese Yen banknotes he had just stored from the Universal Space, flinging them towards the exit with force.

Suddenly, the sky was filled with Japanese Yen banknotes. Not knowing who was the first to spot the money, an excited shout erupted: “Look, there’s money falling from the sky!”
