Suddenly the phone went dead, and the words spoken with her beloved son caused her to feel a strange sense of inconsistency. Amon, despite being her beloved and only child born with her late husband.
'He was never so... Intelligent and charming, despite finishing all the classes and extra lessons to make me happy... when speaking with women he would become a little dim... even with myself...'
"Was it all an act...? Or has he finally become a man?"
The beautiful woman with long, curly blonde hair looked at the empty office, two large, expensive sofas two meters away from her desk, a pure black marble table in between, and a thick, dark tinted glass covering the entire wall behind her.
Beep!
"Sigh... Cultivation resources. Is he being tricked?"
She pressed several buttons on the telephone before it began to ring a number, then after one ring, an elegant and gentle voice sounded.
"Mrs Winchester, are you in need of any assistance?"
The woman who answered the phone was the daughter of the best friend of Maribell Winchester; once her mother passed away, Maribell helped her take a role in the company as her junior secretary, now serving as the lead and only one serving Maribell.
"Can you ensure nobody strange has been interfering with Amon recently? Also, check his phone and recent meetings with Miss Murdock and any other ladies that might influence him, especially those with ties to the cultivation world."
"Yes, ma'am!"
'However... if this is all his thoughts... should these products work, finally... darling, maybe now you will be proud of him and forgive his past foolish mistakes.'
Maribell remembered that if she ever joked about other women, Amon would become irate, insisting that Alice was his goddess and he must marry her no matter what.
The fact he didn't this time caused a smile to appear on her face, the image of her handsome son, the deep and authoritative voice on the phone.
'Amon... My beloved boy, are you finally going to become like your father? I should make plans...'
"Kizuna, make sure to sign all the shares I have over to Amon for the two companies tied to Winchester's Terra Pharmaceuticals if there is no foul play in your search."
"All!? Never mind, yes, forgive my words, Ma'am. I will do as you ask."
She could hear the distrust for her son, not blaming Kizuna, who was subject to his youthful actions in the past. Her only hope was for the pair to fix the bridges her son burned himself slowly.
"Also, Kizuna, are you willing to become my son's aid, keep any disgusting insects away and stop them from snooping into his business?"
The beautiful Eastern beauty lowered her head, glossy black hair cascading her shoulders. "Understood, ma'am."
"Good; make sure to report to me his actions daily, especially if he gets involved with any women; make sure to check on their backgrounds, families and any secret plots they might have for approaching Amon."
"Understood, Ma'am."
Clack!
Mary put the phone down, her eyes closing as she leaned back in her executive chair, slightly tilting the seat backwards, her mouth blowing a sigh as she tapped her forehead.
"Since my son is going to enter that business... I need to have people to protect him..."
Beep!
Her finger began to dial an unknown and long number on another phone, with facial recognition and a thumbprint lock.
Like before, the phone answered after a single silent ring.
"Mommy, I need some protection for Amon... He's finally become a man worthy of our bloodline!"

Meanwhile, in the underground garage of Number 2, Winchester Mansion. A mansion dedicated to Amon alone.
"Hmmm... so many cool cars..."
Amon looked across the 12-spot parking garage, more than 10 spots already filled, with two of the same red sports car, seeming to be his favourite, but neither had ever been driven because Alice said mindless idiots only drove sports cars.
'What a loser I was... Why change just for a woman? If she cannot accept me at my worst, then why give her my best?'
His steps were decided--wearing a top brand custom black suit, a crimson tie, and a golden badge symbolising the Winchester family crest like an upside down triangle with a crown on the top--he made sure to have a red silk handkerchief in his top pocket wearing a silver watch worth more than 50,000$, not wanting to waste the Vestina watch his mother bought on his 18th birthday.
"Let's go; I've always wanted to drive this baby..."
The car was fully hybrid engine with highly tuned AI assistance and turbo. The low body of the Red Laguna S5 Verion Sports Car lit up the ground with beautiful red lights as he pressed the special keys, opening the doors vertically like wings.
He pressed the local ignition as the low hum of the hybrid engine was almost silent, the dashboard with a customer AI interface and neon purple interface, with blue light filtering for long drives.
'Heh... mother, you spent over $100,000 on these cars... despite acting so humble when gifting them, oh how I love you.'
Sitting in the custom leather seats, with a high-tech memory foam filling, the AI adjusted the temperature to remain at his ideal level. Like magic, the air was filtered constantly through special vents to avoid needing the windows to be open.
Clink! He pushed the golden key into the slot, a custom crest with the Winchester logo.
Click!
Brrrrr!
His foot stepped onto the accelerator, pulling in first as the car shot out of the garage; his body pushed back into the seat, with a memory gel backrest to avoid injuries if a crash occurred, also counteracting the huge pull of his racing motor.
Woosh!
Amon left the collection of mansions in the east of town, now racing with his engine just below the legal limit.
'Heh... this feels so sweet!'
The shiny red sports car drew the eyes of jealous males who wished they were driving it and beautiful and ugly women who wanted to be the ones riding in the passenger seat.
"Narri - put on some random music that suits racing around the city in a sports car."
- Affirmative
- Now Playing: Highway of Hell By Zelwind
"Phew... Good song, nice and heavy."
He planned to meet with a crucial woman today. Currently, she worked for a slightly shady underground fight club and was Ethan's bodyguard early on in the novel before his cultivation realm reached the Phantasmal Realm.
[You don't even know the realms...]
'Once again... you are not meant to be able to speak...'
[How about I fuse with the Narri system?]
'No way! My cute Narri!'
[Tsk!]
The city was relatively peaceful when people pulled their cars out of their way to avoid hefty fines, only taking him 10 minutes of bickering to reach the Shazong district from the western Bismark district.
He aimed for a bar named [The Red Swan] owned by a powerful young lady related to a cultivation and gang family, an important ally and member of Ethan's future forces.
His car slowly drove past the main road, filled with trash and shady people who looked like daily thieves. 'I wonder why there is so many horrible area's in a supposed [Top Tier] city... haha.. is this the novel world's logic?'
Skrrrt!
Amon's car stopped outside a large building with huge red walls, a black roof and massive stained glass windows with strange pictures that made no sense. It seemed to be something that the author had used AI to generate and thus made no sense and wasn't necessary.
[Well, they dropped the event...]
Two men stood outside the enormous brown doors, with golden dragons painted along them.
"Both men have guns; they don't seem to be cultivators... However, they are physically strong and could reach that stage with hard work."
[True]
"Well, let's go." He said, wrapping an expensive woollen trench coat around his arms as the winged door opened--stepping onto the road, looking to make sure no cars ran him over.
"Hmmm? Who are you?" The right male with bulging biceps and a pistol on show stepped forward to stop Amon, his eyes looking at the expensive outfit, trained to know the faces of all the rich people and anyone of interest to avoid issues.
The left guard quickly stepped in with an apologetic and more friendly approach.
"Forgive my partner Young Lord Winchester--although you are famous, we could never expect someone as renowned as yourself to come here, especially at this time of day when Lady Murdock would hold her violin recitals.
Amon looked at the guard, his face calm without any sign of displeasure before he lifted his right hand, shaking it with a faint smile.
"Do not worry; this is only your job. Aren't you here to protect the fairy lady of Shazong from any harm? There is no problem or offence taken."
He looked towards the male on the right, looking a little fearful as Amon looked at him; however, he was shocked when Amon extended his wrist, revealing his silver watch, changing from the analogue interface to the widespread tipping app, before tapping the guard's top right pocket.
- Tipped 500$!
Amon tapped the guard's shoulder, both of their heights equal, using more than 60% of his power, which caused the guard to visibly sink into the ground with eyes widening in terror as he peered at the young lord in front of him.
"Make sure to take your partner out for a good meal, alright? He also risked himself by speaking to protect you; good work, and keep protecting the fair maiden."
The guards were stunned, knowing that the normal rumours of this young lord were a man obsessed with the Murdock girl and, to put it kindly, was a complete [Simp] and [Loser] when it came to anything.
"Y-yes, sir!"
"Good, now then... I have business with your lovely Lady Xue. Can you allow me to go through it? Sadly I do not have a membership badge or anything..."
Bzzzt! A speaker began to buzz behind them before a soft voice sounded like a butterfly in the wind, a carp in a pond on a spring day.
"It's alright; please let him through, Lord Winchester. You came to see me. How interesting, I am in VIP booth 1; feel free to come upstairs at your leisure or enjoy one of my girls first. It's completely up to you."
Bzzzt!
Once the speaker turned off, the two guards looked at Amon with shocked faces, feeling as if they were blessed today as the Lady of Frost herself spoke in their presence, normally hearing orders from her handmaidens.
"See you, boys, later; take care!" Amon said with a cheeky grin, his body pushing past them quickly as the thick doors were easily pushed open, typically needing both men to push the doors.
A whisper of the men reached his enhanced ears as he stepped onto the beautiful purple and white velvet carpet, springy and smooth.
"Wow... are you alright, Elang?" The older guard who interceded asked as he noticed the young guard slowly collapsing to the floor with a dark purple face, his body burning up from the inside slowly.
"Ugh.....Dingzi... It's hot... Ugk!...." Elang began to cough up thick and strange syrup-like blood before he collapsed to the ground, his body convulsing.
"Elang!? Elang hold on!"
Amon didn't kill the guard, instead just lightly giving him some muscle tearing--it was mainly to teach him a lesson for the future.
'Ethan will appear here in a few days--and he will kill them both because of Elang...'
[Why not just tell them, now he will use half of that money for his hospital fee...]
He ignored the system momentarily, stepping into the strange establishment further.
To his right was the area to meet the girls that Lady Xue mentioned, and on the left was a small but exclusive bar that only the richest and degenerates could visit.
Then directly ahead were the stairs to the VIP room, which even Amon might struggle to get on such short notice.
'A lesson of flesh last's longer than the lash of the tongue. If Erlang is to hate me forever, that is still better that he lives.'
[So kind...]
"Kindness..." Amon muttered as he stepped on the wide stairs, the bright red carpet and golden trims similar to the ones like his carpets at home.
'If this trash lets the protagonist fight and kill them, his refined yang phoenix body will absorb their power and strengthen himself; even mortals give him significant power at the moment....'
[...]
[Did you really...]
"Hmmmm?"
[Did you only reincarnate once..?]
A gentle but serene face filled Amon Winchester's face as he ignored the cute voice of the supposed AI system, his violet eyes shimmering like the stars at night, shooting through the universe.
"Who knows..."
With a slightly sad look, he stepped towards the large door with several women dressed identically.
Their pretty Asian features were hidden by the slightly translucent veil, which seemed to step back, slightly aware of his danger, likely--Lady Xue knew he was the one that injured her guard as a mere lesson.
He ignored them and focused on the door's nameplate, coated in gold with a phoenix and dragon crest.

'Time to meet the fiercest woman of the book's first 200 chapters.'
