Actually, when she saw that he went to buy tampons just because of her words, her heart softened. She didn’t want to escape anymore.
As Maurice stared at her flushed earlobes, an impulse surged in his heart. He wrapped his arms around her slender body and whispered in her ear, “Listen, Eliana. No matter how many times you run away, I will get you back. You will never escape from me all your life.”
