Chapter 691

Nathan was behind the wheel, thinking to himself, “Trust Mr. Salter to just hand over billions of dollars just like that.”

Brittany was barely able to hear what Isaac was saying. She was burning up, and her body was trembling slightly, like a leaf in the autumn wind.

“Feeling sick?”

Brittany was no stranger to social gatherings and her stomach had taken a beating over the years. She had drunk too much that night and was then experiencing painful stomach cramps.

Isaac knew about her stomach problems. He reached out and placed his warm hard on her abdomen, gently rubbing it to help soothe her discomfort.

“Drive faster!” Isaac lifted his head and urged Nathan in a remarkably different tone than his gentle demeanor towards Brittany.

“Also, get a doctor.”

“Sure thing.”

The black sedan sped off and arrived at Radiant Residences. Isaac carried Brittany out of the car. The butler, Emily, heard the commotion and went out to greet them.

“Is Ms. Dustin drunk?”

“Yes, Emily. Can you make a bowl of hangover soup?”

Isaac carried Brittany off while Emily hurried upstairs to prepare the soup. The doctor had already arrived.

Isaac laid Brittany down on the bed and gestured to the doctor, “Please, check on her.”

After a thorough examination, the doctor gave Isaac a peculiar look. “Mr. Salter, Ms. Dustin’s stomach condition is quite serious. Years of excessive drinking and poor sleep habits will eventually take a toll on her health.”

“Understood.”

Brittany was still trembling. The doctor administered a sedative and then carefully took her leave.

Emily entered the room with a bowl of hangover soup. Isaac took the bowl from her, “Emily, it’s late. You should go rest.”

Emily looked at the drunk Brittany with concern, “Mr. Salter, is Ms. Dustin dealing with some sort of problem? Why is she drinking so much?”

“Just business dealings.”

Isaac tested the soup’s temperature with a spoon. Satisfied, he carefully propped Brittany up with a pillow before spoon-feeding her the soup.

Emily quietly left the room, leaving the two alone. After all, they rarely had those moments of peace together.

Once the soup was finished, Isaac wiped the soup stain from Brittany’s lips, making them look even more enticing, like freshly ripened peaches. He couldn’t help but lean in for a taste.

Brittany woke up from her drunken stupor at the sudden intimacy, instinctively trying to pull away. But Isaac wouldn’t let her, his eyes burning with intense desire.

Brittany struggled, whimpering under his dominant advances. In a sudden burst of clarity, she bit his lip, and the taste of blood immediately filled their mouths.

Isaac recoiled in pain, breaking the intensity of the moment.

Brittany shrank back, curling up under the covers like a wounded animal. Isaac finally regained his senses, covering her with the blanket before leaving

the room.

Back in his own room, he noticed the burning pain on his lips. He touched it and found it was bleeding.

The morning after a night of heavy drinking was never pleasant. When Brittany woke up, she felt weak and sore all over.
