The Blue Eyes

Chapter 79 - NEW SPECIES?

Chapter 79 - NEW SPECIES?

It had been three days since Kevin officially turned 27, and it had been three days since the black-haired scientist lost his virginity right on his birthday.

Who would have thought that the two of them really did it that night? Who would have thought he would do it with a man? And, who would have thought that he would be the "bottom"?

Kevin was slightly drunk, but Kris wasn't. They did it not because of the influence of alcohol, but because of the impulse that had been buried deep within them which they could no longer hold back. Kevin was slightly drunk, but he was in a state of full consciousness that night. He also didn't regret what he did with Kris.

It had been three days, but Kevin still clearly remembered how it happened. That was the first time he had a clear memory of what happened when he was drunk. Yes, everything that happened was still printed in thick ink in his memory.

He still remembered the pain the first time Kris penetrated his body until finally, he felt the pleasure as he shamelessly moaned loudly when he reached climax. Gosh, just remembering it made Kevin's face turn red.

"Senior, are you okay?" His junior, Anna, asked him in a worried tone.

Kevin didn't know since when Anna standing beside his chair.

"I'm okay," the man replied as he tried to avoid Anna's probing gaze.

The girl, who was currently wearing a lab coat wrapped over her pink shirt, was known for her extraordinary sensitivity. Not in the supernatural term, but sensitivity for other people's physical appearances. She could detect if someone was experiencing physical appearance changes.

For example, today someone appeared with a different lipstick shade than yesterday, and she could notice the difference. Or maybe when someone just got surgery to remove their tiny mole under their eyes, she also could see that. And, when someone suddenly changed their style of clothing, she could notice that as well.

The real example was three days ago when Kevin suddenly came to the laboratory wearing a brown turtleneck. The girl with dark brown curly hair walked up to him and looked him up and down with a probing gaze, asking why the scientist suddenly wore a turtleneck. The girl didn't know that the young man was just trying to cover Kris's marks which were clearly printed on his neck.

Therefore, at this time, Kevin tried his best to avoid the girl's gaze. In his heart, he hoped that the tan-skinned girl would quickly leave and no longer disturb his calm.

"Oh, I forgot," suddenly the girl spoke again, and Kevin forcefully turned to her. "The Intelligence Agency sent us this. Our seniors aren't coming today, so I leave it to you, Senior."

Kevin slowly grabbed the digital letter handed by Anna. His almond eyes stared at the screen as he waited for the iris scanner to work. A second later, the screen unlocked and showed the first page of the letter.

Kevin read the title listed on the first page: "REPORT OF THE APPEARANCE OF WEREWOLVES."

Kevin's heart skipped a beat while reading the sentence. Had werewolves really appeared again? Did that mean the war was about to begin?

Kevin was nervous. He could not imagine if a big war like the one that happened in 2021 would repeat itself. He was still young at that time, but he still remembered how tense the atmosphere of the war was.

Kevin started using his hand to motion the screen to flip to the next page, but then he realized something. It seemed that a mysterious figure had been trying to peek at the contents of the letter. Sighing, he then looked up, and his eyes met Anna's who was still standing beside his chair.

"You want to know the report?" The senior scientist asked lazily, and Anna nodded several times in response. "Find a chair to sit on. We can read the letter together."

Without needing to be ordered more than once, the junior immediately ran to find a chair. Soon she came back with a chair, then placed it next to Kevin's chair. Then she immediately sat on it like an obedient student.

Kevin just shook his head at his junior's behavior, but he didn't bother and continued his activities to read the letter. This time, he put the digital letter on the table and positioned it in the middle of himself and Anna so that the junior could join in reading the contents.

Anna was still a junior, so she didn't have the authority to read important letters like that. But, that girl better started learning how to deal with cases like this. After Andre died, Kevin partnered up with Anna more often.

Ah, Andre, Kevin really missed his good friend. If Andre was still alive now, he must have been excited when he read the letter from the Intelligence Agency.

The letter contained reports of a civilian living near the city border. Yesterday, December 14, 2038, the civilian woke up from his sleep when he felt thirsty. He then walked to his kitchen to get a drink, and that was when he saw a werewolf monster from the kitchen window.

The monster walked slowly while making a sound resembling a growl. He panicked, but he still managed to take his cellphone from the room, then ran back to the kitchen and took a photo of the monster. Finally, he managed to get some photos which were also included in the report.

Kevin and Anna examined the shape of the monster in the photo. The monster's form was like a wolf, but it walked on two legs, and its height was about two meters. It had sharp canines and fingernails, and its saliva dripping profusely from its mouth. Oh, don't forget their pair of bright red eyes.

"Isn't it the same as the werewolf monster that appeared seventeen years ago, Senior? What's so special about this report?"

Kevin chose to ignore his junior's question and continued reading the writing on the next page. On the next page was written that the civilian, who witnessed the incident, said that the werewolf seemed to be unconscious and was merely moving on instinct. The movement was very slow, in contrast to the stories about werewolves that had fast movements.

The document also stated that the werewolf monster that appeared yesterday was not the same as the werewolf monsters that had appeared before. The military would tighten their guard and tried to catch at least one monster so that it could be used as a research specimen. The Intelligence Agency asked scientists to prepare for the research.

That was the crux of the digital letter sent by the Intelligence Agency. After he finished reading it, Kevin sighed and leaned his back against the back of the chair.

It seemed that Selena was right. Joseph must be creating some new formulas in the past seventeen years. Were the monsters reported by civilians his new creation? But, why did the new monster look weaker than the monsters that had appeared before?

"Hey, Senior." His junior called him, and Kevin turned to her again. "What do you think about the report? Is it a new species of werewolf?"

Kevin straightened up and opened the letter again, flipping the page until it opened in the photos taken by the eyewitness. "I don't know. We have to get a specimen before we can make any conclusions," he then replied.

The junior nodded her head as a sign that she agreed with the man. "But, it's getting more terrible now. It looks like the monsters have started roaming the city, and we don't know how many of them are out there. The eyewitness was lucky because he was at his house when the monster passed by. What if he accidentally bumped into that monster at that moment? Surely they would fall prey to the monster, right?"

Kevin did not respond to Anna's question. The monster's appearance must have been related to Joseph's plan, and he couldn't guess what his father was planning.

Was it true that Joseph would ignite a war? Or was it just a distraction so that he and his allies could catch Kevin secretly?

Kevin swallowed nervously. It looked like he had to be more careful from now on. In the last few days, he had practiced a lot to control his power with Kris, but he was still not fully able to control it.

Suddenly, his cellphone inside his pants pocket vibrated, and it was enough to break the chain of thoughts in his head. He reached into his pocket to fish out the thin object, then read the writing on the screen. His smile grew wide in instant. It made Anna, who was sitting beside him, frown in wonderment.

"Hey, what's wrong? Have you had lunch?" Kevin asked the caller. He realized that it was lunchtime now, so that was the first question he asked.

"No, I haven't. I'm in front of your laboratory building, and I want to invite you to go somewhere. We can have lunch together later. What do you think?"

The answer coming from someone on the other end of the phone made Kevin's eyes sparkle. With one hand, he began to painstakingly remove his lab coat. After the white coat fell off, he grabbed his flannel jacket, which had a mix of white and gray colors, and carried it in his hand that was not holding the phone.

The handsome scientist would have left the laboratory if only Anna's voice did not hold his steps.

"Hey, Senior. Do you have a lover now?"
