Chapter 119 - I Think I Like Him
Chapter 119 - I Think I Like Him
Leena woke from her sleep and after getting fresh, she started peeking into Devin's room but he was still no in the house. Where did he disappear again? What sort of work he is doing that he is vanishing in the mornings almost every day? I can't believe he fled away right after we kissed. Her cheeks reddened thinking of yesterday's activity.
Dusting her thoughts aside, Leena made a call to her sworn brother and that annoying idiot was not picking her calls even when she called him twice and she knew he is doing it intentionally.
Finally, it was picked in the third ring.
"What's up, Crazy Leena? As far as I remember, you would never call me." Wilbur lifted the call with one hand, and with the other hand, he began wiping his daughter's butt after she was done with her potty. For a year, he has become an active coach in the bathroom to his bratty daughter but he is still on the hook of ass wiping duties. He thought he could enjoy the Europe tour, but he was bound tending to his daughter day and night.
"How are you and how is Cutie?" Leena sweetly inquired before coming to the actual question.
"Come to the point." Will cleansed and dried his daughter's hands along with his and took her out of the bathroom.
"Umm...What are your friend's names? I heard they are here for Leah's wedding." Leena inquired. Devin has already instructed 'no cheating' but Leena was scared to serve as his servant for a whole month working on house chores and cleaning his bathrooms.
"Why do you want to know about them?" Wilbur asked suspiciously.
"So that I don't scare them." Leena innocently replied.
"You better not! You already knew Jasper and Austin and the other one is Andrew and he would have already become your friend since you both fall into the monkey's category. Get paired with him, so that I don't need to search for a groom." Wilbur replied, his voice had a sarcasm to the edge. He didn't want to speak about Devin with this crazy idiot otherwise his friendship would be at stake if she approaches him. Kurt would run away from girls if he sees them and he doesn't want to torture that poor fellow. So he eliminated the two.
"I curse that no matter how hard you try to stop it, your loose motions would keep coming." Leena ended the call in frustration and walked out of the room to try her luck on some other person.
...
"I am not going to invite him to our wedding, Austin. What if he is my senior and you are his friend. He might be your friend but Vincy is more important to me." Leah screamed on her phone. "You do know they don't get along with each other right?"
"But still_"
"No buts. Don't bring his topic in front of Vincy." Leah ended the call when she saw Leena coming into her room.
"Are you busy?" Leena asked stepping into Leah's room. "I don't see Austin in the house."
"Groom shouldn't be seeing the bride before the wedding day. So he went home." Leah smiled and looked at Leena who was fiddling with her fingers. "You want to talk about something, Leena?"
"I_I think I like him." Quietly settling on the bed, Leena confessed. She couldn't sleep for the whole night thinking whether she liked him or it was an infatuation. She even wrote many online tests and it said, she likes him, and to get a clear picture, she has to contact her friends.
"OMG! I knew something is going on between you two. You will become the best pair." Leah was on cloud nine. If the wedding was her happiness, watching. Leena and Devin getting paired at her wedding was contentment.
"But I don't know if he likes me or not," Leena replied gazing at the floor. Despite he is very kind and caring, Leena was still unsure of his feelings and when she saw the name Lovely Eve on his contact list, she is a little hesitant about his feelings.
"So what's your plan darling? Are you going to talk to him about your feelings." With an exciting voice, Leah asked thinking about Devin's reaction. Poor him! He worked really hard. He had warned everyone not to talk about his feelings with Leena, otherwise, Leah would have vomited everything now.
"I_I am planning to pursue him. But if I profess him, the touch me not name I maintained with men till now will be ruined to dogs. I feel like crying thinking about it Leah." Leena cried huffing like a child.
"Dumb girl! You should discard your ego when it comes to such things but if you are still inferior about it, make him propose to you and I am sure you can do it." Leah said. Even if Leena doesn't propose, Devin was already planning for it. Devin would shoot the stars if he knew about Leena's feelings.
"That's what I needed and in case that happens, I will boast to the entire world that I did not go behind him and he was the one who was running behind me. I can maintain my range and now I will wait for him to propose." Leena was pleased with the idea. In case if we fight in the future, in a heat of the moment, what if he brings the topic that I was the first to propose. I can't let that happen.
Leah wanted to bang her head on the wall hearing her answer. Even now, she turned out to be a self-centered brat.
"Alright, darling. You are always the best! Can you get me the blue dress inside my closet Leena? I just want to show it to you."
Leena nodded her head and walked into her closet room and when she was pulling out the dress, a small book dropped onto the floor. She picked up the book and as she expected it was an album catalog.
"Must be Leah's." Leena opened the album and began flipping the covers and when she saw a familiar figure, her hand halted. With a smile, she traced his photo looking intently. He is such a cutie.
Leena pulled out his picture from the album, and when she turned to the next cover, another familiar face appeared.
"It looks like a group photo in the school. What is Ethan doing here? He is from Seattle right? When did he study in New York?" Leena pondered. She got to know that Ethan was Wilbur's friend when she started her university but never probed into their business. She was always in her computer world to think about other non-sense stuff. Her answers to the questions can be answered by only one person.
Leena threw the dress on to Leah and ran out of her room along with the album.
...
"Andrew Dawson!! What's up?" Leena barged into his room with a smile.
"I am playing video games." Without lifting his head, Drew continued playing and he doesn't care, anyone, when he goes into play mode.
"I have something to ask." Leena pulled him onto the bed throwing his computer away and showed the photo album.
"Where did you get this? Let me see if can spot my picture." Drew tried to snatch the album from Leena's grip but she jerked him away.
"Only if you answer my question," Leena revealed a certain photo and asked. "Do you know him well?"
The moment he looked at the photo, Drew immediately mumbled. "It's Ethan! Ethan Davies."
"Are you close to him?"
"Not really. Vincy and Ethan don't get along with each other. They always end up in fights. So we don't speak much with him."
"Why do they fight?" She asked.
"I have no idea. They are actually cousins, but Vincy doesn't like to bring Ethan's topic." He explained.
Cousin? That was a big bombshell on Leena. The man she wanted to avoid is related to someone she likes now. Why is the world so cruel to her? One is sweet and caring and the other is a pathetic bastard whom she hates to the core. Should I tell him that I knew Ethan? No Leena! First sort out your feelings with him then you can talk about him.
"Why do you ask about Ethan? Do you know him?" Drew asked.
"I don't know him but he looks like a Chimpanzee. So I wanted to know his name." Having said that, Leena walked out.
Drew " "
