Chapter 918 The Final Victory
Chapter 918 The Final Victory
"That’s a great idea Hachi," Lu Li said happily.
"Hey, don’t touch my head. You perverts can go away," Hachi Chan scowled as she made a face. When everyone who needed Mana had gathered around her, she tore open a scroll. A magical energy then swirled around them as they all received a powerful buff.
5% Mana Regeneration per second for 15 seconds!
"This must be the Mana Tide Scroll," Lu Li said, immediately recognizing this overpowered item.
"Yeah, how do you know about it? Did that Mage Grandpa lie to me? He said that this scroll was very precious," Hachi Chan responded as she looked at Lu Li in surprise.
Lu Li almost vomited blood, partially because of how strong this item was, but also because of how lucky Hachi Chan was.
What the Mage had told Hachi Chan was not wrong. Not only was the scroll incredibly precious, it was also nearly impossible to find.
There was a kind of scroll that only existed in legends. It was a scroll that only demi-gods or the most talented people of the world could ever hope of using. Lu Li didn’t know the exact name, but he had heard that it could regenerate all the mana of a Master Mage within 2 seconds.
Other than this, the next best Mana Regeneration scroll was naturally the Mana Tide.
The Mana Tide Scroll was the result of Dalaran’s research. It was said that it contained the Mana of five powerful Mages. Theoretically, this was equivalent to several hundred thousand mana points.
The moment the scroll was torn open, they would be distributed among the players within a duration of 15 seconds.
This item was incredibly strong, but Hachi Chan had decided to use it for Stratholme...
Stratholme...
This was just an ordinary level 50 Instance Dungeon!
Lu Li swallowed the blood bubbling up in his throat and gave a weak smile. If the others truly understood what she had done, they would have definitely stopped attacking Balnazzar and attacked Hachi Chan instead.
After regenerating 75% of their MP, everyone had the confidence to take this fight to the end.
In fact, as long as the Main Tank and Healers could survive , they would eventually defeat the Boss if given enough time.
"It’s down to 30% HP! Everyone, slow down a little bit and wait for your damage reduction skills to refresh!" Lu Li cried out as he stopped Sakura Memories from using Bloodthirst.
The stages were not evenly spread out – Balnazzar’s first stage lasted for the first 10% of his HP, while the second stage was slightly longer and lasted until he reached 50% HP. The last stage lasted the longest, but was also the most dangerous.
First, there was Painful Touch, which was followed by a relatively simple Mind Control phase. However, after it dropped below 30%, it would turn into a demon.
At this stage, the Boss wouldn’t go Berserk yet, nor would it use Painful Touch. It was just using Mind Control, so if they had the mana, they could slow down the fighting rhythm.
Fighting Bosses wasn’t just about completing the fight as quickly as possible; it was also important to control the rhythm.
Two minutes later, most of their damage reduction skills had refreshed. The Boss’ HP was also at 31%, so it was close to turning into a demon.
"May Buddha protect us," Azure Sea Breeze muttered. He casted a Taunt skill as everyone else began to increase their damage output once again.
"Bloodthirst!" Lu Li yelled out as he started to furiously attack the Boss, successfully achieving a number of Critical hits.
"Now, you will wish for death," Balnazzar sneered. His body began to distort and his skin turned purple as a huge pair of wings spread from his back.
"His damage is getting stronger. March Rain, pay attention to my HP," Azure Sea Breeze said as he started to struggle.
A single normal attack almost forced him to cast his damage reduction skills.
"Hachi Chan, heal Breezy. March Rain should focus on Breezy. You can heal the others, but just make sure that Breezy survives. We need him to beat the Boss," Lu Li instructed, deciding that some sacrifices had to be made.
If someone died now at this point, there was not much they could do.
Fortunately, Azure Sea Breeze was truly quite powerful, particularly after focusing on the techniques that Lu Li had told him about. He controlled the damage dealt to him and began to manage it quite well. He had almost singlehandedly turned a dangerous situation into a relatively safe one.
The other Main Tanks were having a miserable time.
Almost all the Demon Lords had some kind of splitting passive skill, which meant that a common attack could have an area of effect. Anyone who was injured had no choice but to take a potion or use a damage reduction skill, but they couldn’t ask for much help.
After becoming a Demon, the Balnazzar’s attack power greatly increased, along with his Defense.
The battle was beginning to seem like a stalemate.
Without Hachi Chan’s scroll, all the Magic professions would have run out of mana by now and Lu Li probably would have given up on continuing Stratholme. Although not many players died to Painful Touch, Hachi Chan didn’t have another scroll up her sleeve.
"Memories, remember to drop the mana totem," Lu Li said. He had to remind his teammates as they had just been wildly attacking. Everyone knew that they had reached a critical phase and were doing their best.
"I have a skill to reduce damage, but I don’t know if I should use it now or wait for it to go Berserk," Azure Sea Breeze said upon seeing that he didn’t have many other options left.
"Just use it now; we’ll deal with the Berserk when it comes. If we can’t pass this stage, then you would have saved it for nothing," Lu Li said calmly. He wasn’t actually that worried about Balnazzar going Berserk.
Turning into a demon was in fact much more powerful than Beserk. After all, when a Boss normally went Berserk, it generally didn’t increase both Attack and Defense.
Of course, going Beserk was not impossible, but the odds were fairly low.
Eventually, Balnazzar finally reached critical HP and everyone held their breath nervously.
If he went Berserk, then they probably wouldn’t continue playing today. However, if he did not, then the Xin Xin Mercenary Group was confident that they could survive this final stage.
